Because of property abuse we will not accept any kind of trailer on then site. the only place for vehicles is in the circular drive or at the camp site only. DRIVING INTO THE FIELD IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THE BLUEBIRD BOXES! THEY WILL ABANDON THE NEST IF BOTHERED!!! CAMP AT YOUR OWN RISK! THERE IS NO FIREWOOD ON SITE. We let the grass grow tall on the property as it acts as a weed block.....we have spent hundreds of dollars and still spend a lot of time spraying and pulling weeds. Pitch your tent in a secluded cove of pines. Fresh well water within short walking distance (20 yds). Community covered patio with grilling available. LBR is primarily a tent camping campground. There are also many moles so the ground can be a bit bumpy. WE DO NOT ACCEPT R’V’s or campers larger than a camper van. 4 people per site, 6 max per site but that is $5 per person extra. little town of Bayview has a good restaurant Captains Wheel. 5 miles east on HWY 54. Something new near us! There is a new Super 1 foods grocery store with an Ace hardware store complex just after you turn off HWY 95 to come to LBR. NEW! Sweet Lou's BBQ Pit at Athol Crossings next to the Super 1. You can get all your food needs and many of your camping needs there. This will be very helpful to all our guests.LBR There is no cell service. All dogs must be leashed. CAMP AT YOUR OWN RISK! THERE IS NO FIREWOOD ON SITE. Greg's place was so peaceful and in a great location. I was nice leaving our campsite for the day, knowing we could safely leave our belongings behind a locked gate, while still feeling like we were in the wilderness. Sound does carry far in this area. There was a neighbor with some kids that played late into the evening and were a bit noisy, but I think this would be the norm if you were at a public campground. Overall, great location, peaceful spot, had everything we needed.

The location is great! Just around the corner from Farragut State park and a 10-15 minute drive to Silverwood. The sites themselves are basic. You are camping in a field supplied with a fire ring, table, portapotty, and water. No one on-site and minimum upkeep. There are houses surrounding the property and the neighbors are noisy with dogs that bark all night long. There were times it was quite and peaceful. We were fortunate that only one night there were other campers because the sites are close together. This is a good spot if you are just looking for a place to sleep while you explore the area.

Great and serene camping site

Little Bear Ranch had a fantastic site. It was clean and quiet. Farragut State Park is pretty close and has some neat sites to hang out. Greg is also pretty great at communicating. He gave us suggestions and pretty straightforward instructions. We will definitely come back.

Nice but quite a basic campsite. We were the only ones there, and then people arrived at 11.30pm and woke us up and kind of spooked us as there was no owner on site. Nice enough and good location however.

Secluded Property w/ the Basics

Stayed here for 3 nights while attending the homesteading conference in Kootenai. Very secluded! Campsite had a fireplace and picnic table. Greg wasn’t available via phone but gave great instructions prior to our trip and luckily didn’t have any questions. There are 3 sites that are “dispersed” but are all within 50-100ft of each other yet on a large piece of property so that is the one flaw I see. First night we heard packs of coyotes about a mile away, just be aware of them and dogs. If a rooster bothers you, know that there is also one or two a few houses down. The last night (Saturday) people right across the way were having a loud party…dogs barkin, people yelling, music banging. We understand this was out of the hosts control but this was just the experience we had :)

The host was great! We booked late and they responded quickly with lots of information. Nothing was left for us to question, from the location, the rules, the requests, and access information. They even informed us of a burn ban so that we were aware of local restrictions. When I had to pack up early and leave a day before planned, they were understanding, accommodating, and helpful. Owners were there in their camper that night, and there wasn't a peep from them at all. They were hardly seen! There were LOTS of yellow jackets, but that's too happen when in the woods and an open field. The ONLY complaint I have is that the neighbors had a rooster that crowed for several hours starting around 5am, and then when he finally stopped, another neighbor way off had a barking dog. Nothing the owner of the campsite could do regarding these animals. I WILL be staying here again, probably a lot in the future now that I know about this place. This is the first time I have ever used hipcamp and I am so happy that I found this site.

This was a beautiful spot, with really nice campsites and a very personal feel to it that we really liked. Greg was also really helpful and responsive when I forgot where to find the gate code! Extra points for being super close to Silverwood!!

It was perfect! Greg was super friendly and helpful! It was clean and out of town enough that it was quiet and peaceful, but close enough that it wasn’t a pain to run in and grab needed supplies!! Would definitely recommend!

This is a perfect spot for tent camping. There’s plenty of room, and it feels private. We especially like using this spot as a base camp for other adventures like the many lakes nearby, Schweitzer mountain and Silverwood.

Really beautiful spot with great and easy access to water. If you have a couples group, it would be perfect to book all spots and just enjoy breaking bread. The trees provide ample shade to park yourself under.

We love it here!

This was our second time staying here! We came into town for a conference at the kootenai county fairgrounds and this was the perfect distance away from all the hub bub. Easy to find, gain access and comfortable. The well water is delicious and cold, the porta potty clean and the wild turkeys were fun to observe.

Little Bear Ranch was beautiful and green. Very close to Farragut State Park and Silverwood Theme Park. The property was secure with a locked gate, port-a-potty, garbage cans. Nice, clean, and quiet spot!

This was the perfect camp spot for us. It had the essentials- toilet, potable water, and shade, plus it felt very private and was beautiful. We also appreciated how close it still was to a store, and that it was a very short drive to Silverwood, which was the reason for our stay.

The campsite wasn't bad! It was very cute and close to a lot of hiking trails, silver wood and a grocery store and it's all right by the state park. There was rave next door that had happened on Sunday that was noisy and loud but overall it was a pleasant experience.
