Our guests enjoy a peaceful and private stay in a redwood forest along the Eel River, with the convenience of being just seconds off Highway 101. We are 6 mins (3.3 miles) from the famous Drive-Through Tree, 1 minute (less than 0.8 miles) away from the Peg House (Never Don’t Stop!) and 34 mins from the Mendocino Coast. The property which sits among a grove of fir trees, oaks, and redwoods, resting along the banks of the South Eel River, has 2 fully furnished cabins, spacious areas to set up tents/yurts, access to Eel River beaches and swimming holes, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing as well as a great site for fishing. Each cabin is equipped with a kitchen, appliances including a dishwasher and standard size refrigerator. Each cabin has a deck overlooking the river whereupon you will have use to our BBQs. For those seeking a more outdoor experience, we also offer self-contained RV and trailer camping on site. The property is mostly used for small private retreats and gatherings for those that are seeking to enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by trees and multitude of water activity options makes this an ideal location for our guests. The exclusivity of this property, direct access to the river, convenience with numerous amenities, makes this a haven for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing retreat. Other things to note ... Enjoy our open meadow and trails throughout the campground. We do not allow generators. The Eel River flows through the property and is about a .8 mile walk or drive from the Standish Hickey campground. In regards to access to a market, there is a small market in Leggett.
