Had the best time camping here for my birthday!! The site was sheltered from the winds down on the coast with great proximity to kruse and salt point. Will 100% be camping here again. :)

I had a wonderfully peaceful weekend at Jakes campsite deck. At first, I was a bit concerned about the number of mosquitoes – they were everywhere. (this is the forest there will be mosquitoes. ) Thankfully, once I remembered that smoke deters them, I lit a fire around 9 AM, and the problem disappeared. There was plenty of firewood in the area to keep it going, and even when the fire wasn’t burning, the mosquitoes stayed away. (Problem solved)
I brought my cat along, a curious little explorer, and she had the best time roaming through the forest and foliage. The deck was a perfect spot to set up our tent, and the whole area was beautifully quiet. I loved waking up to the sound of birds and falling asleep to the distant echo of woodpeckers.
Jake was very helpful and quick to answer any questions I had. I believe we had the whole place to ourselves, which only added to the tranquility and quiet. Definitely looking forward to another visit. Thank you, Jake for opening up your beautiful land and deck for this peaceful experience.

Perfect cozy campsite in the woods. We loved the deck for easy tent pitching, and the fire ring amd table were well placed for cooking and relaxing. The outhouse was very clean and pleasant to use. 10 out of 10!

We loved camping here on the platform! Beautiful private spot and the 2 mile walk/run down to Stump Beach was amazing. We can't wait to return! Water and hose for cooking is right there, great fire pit too.

This was a quiet little secluded campsite for our truck camper. Easy to navigate, super responsive hosts and clear signage. Would stay again, it was a nice secluded spot above their garden in the forest. It's also super close to Salt Point SP and Kruse Rhododendron State Natural Reserve. There is another site on the property for tent only camping but we didn't even notice til we were leaving. Far better than staying in one of the nearby crowded campgrounds.

We loved the RV spot on Jake’s land. It was quite, easy to go to the beach with our bikes and the night sky was beautiful.
Jake was super responsive with a great communication.
We will come back !

The site was very peaceful, nestled in amongst the trees. We really enjoyed getting to walk along the trail that’s throughout the upper portion of the property (marked by signs). And like others mentioned, it was easy to transport items from the car to the campsite using the cart.

We loved camping here! The campsite was very well maintained and the deck was awesome. The site was very private and it was the perfect place for campfires and stargazing. Pups loved exploring.

Straight forward and very user friendly site.
I really appreciated the vibe here and the amenities (water hose, toilet, fire pit and deck!) were easily accessible.
A short walk at a slight incline from the parking to the campsite. A courtesy wagon was there which was very helpful.
Jakes DMs were straightforward communications and responsive.

Great camping spot at Camp Huckleberry. Beautiful location which was quiet and serene. You can walk to the beach and Salt Point from the site which is a great bonus. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful private site near Salt Point SP. best sleep we’ve had in weeks!
The RV spot was nothing fancy, but it was quiet and so much more private than any regular campground. There was a picnic table at the site and an outhouse about 50 yards away.
There are a number of hiking trails on the property we had an excellent time exploring and Jake was a helpful and responsive host. We would definitely stay again!

Jake has a nice place; our stay was for one night in January at the Car/Van parking site. Directions and instructions to Huckleberry Haven were spot on. The drive to Jake's is partially gravel and manageable with a car.
The parking pad is next to a large and tranquil meadow with beautiful night sky views. Path to the outhouse was lit by solar lights and only a couple hundred feet from the parking pad. Due to the size of Jake's property, our privacy was not affected by occupants at the other site and the main house.
Please consider staying at Jake's if you are looking for a private and peaceful stay that is not a busy campground.

Booking with Jake was really easy, the deck is spacious and great to hold more than one tent of you want or a big one, there is a cart that is a huge plus to bring your things from your car to the deck, the place has an amazing view of the night sky, as is on a small clearing.

We had such an amazing time at Huckleberry Haven! We were immediately greeted by Peter who was awesome, super helpful and showed us where everything was. The van site was great with a little outhouse nearby too, which was a huge plus. The trails on the property were phenomenal and we saw the most amazing stars each night. Counted 9 shooting stars in the span of an hour! Definitely a serene, quiet, and rad spot. Close enough to some sweet little towns to check out and great coastal views, but also far enough from the hustle and bustle to be really relaxing and feel off the grid. Can’t recommend enough! Thanks so much for having us.

Fantastic camping spot that I don't want to tell (too many) others about because it's so awesome. The property is expansive, the bathroom is legit, and the freedom from city pollution or noise was liberating.

Jake was a fantastic camp host and we had a great time. The deck was really convenient to set the tent on and kept us off the ground. It was also really nice to have fresh running water and a bathroom just a short walk away. You’re surrounded by beautiful scenery and it was a great get away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Huckleberry Haven! We were in a truck camper and there was plenty of flat ground for parking. The deck was a lovely spot for yoga, we enjoyed exploring trails throughout the property, and having a bathroom felt like a luxury! Highly recommend hiking Stump Trail down to the water - it was a dreamy forest bath.

Amazing set up. The deck is much larger than the picture would lead you to believe. Quiet spot with lots of nice touches: water, toilet, picnic table, and a very courteous host. This is close to lots of hiking.
