Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco. All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle. WE HAVE BEEF AGAIN! Beef is free range grass fed and all naturally raised. Please contact camp host for a price sheet or review price sheet attached to the firewood stand near Site #1. Also be sure to check out our orchard tours! The apples are ripe now and our verities will continue to ripen thru late November. We'll take you to our family orchard where you can pick apples, pears, or blueberries in season and taste yummy treats out of our family garden.

Site #4 offers more privacy than some of our other sites and has a mix of sun and shade. This site is better suited for tents and possibly a very small trailer as there isn't as large of a level area as some of our other sites have. Site #4 has a wood firepit with cooking grate and a picnic table.

Site #11 is one of our most private sites. It is in an area by itself, approximately 300 feet from site #10. This site receives more shade than many and shades early in the afternoon. While it is private, it is only a short walk to the restrooms. There is a picnic table, firepit with cooking grate, and flat areas for tents, a camper van, or a small trailer.

Site # 1 is nestled in against some large rocks and small willow trees. It will accommodate a small RV or camper and has space for several tents. There is a wood fire pit with a grate for grilling food over the fire and a picnic bench. Site # 1 is approximately 150 feet from site #3 and 125 feet from Site #2. This site has lots of morning and afternoon shade.

While this site is relatively close to another campsite, the two sites are removed from the remainder of our campsites and would make a good group site with lots of privacy. This site will accommodate tents and possibly a campervan. It is not well suited for trailers or RV's, but could accommodate a small one. This site is relatively shaded with some midday sun. There is a wood fire pit and picnic table at this site. along with a level spot to pitch a tent.

Site #9 is on the uphill side of our drive. It is in an area by itself but will have the occasional vehicle pass by it as there are two campsites further down the drive. This site has a gravel surface and has several levels. There is a level for parking vehicles, a level with the firepit and picnic table, and then a level up a set of stairs for tents.

Site #8 is tucked into the woods beside the driveway that leads to the other sites. There is a large deck (13' x 24') for you to place your tent or lay out your bedroll. This site will accommodate tents, a campervan, or possibly a very small trailer. As this site is under the tree canopy, NO wood fires will be allowed. A gas firepit is provided at the site. You can bring a propane cylinder from home similar to what is used for a gas barbeque or rent a filled propane cylinder on site. This site is private in that it is in an area by itself, but you will be able to see other campers across the drive in the meadow below. There is a strict two car limit at Site #8.

I think this camp would be great for a group, family reunion, event, etc. But, I was traveling solo. It is very remote, there were no other campers in any of the seven or eight sites, and I was seemingly the only human for miles. On top of it, I had zero cell service. So, for me, the vibes were way off, and I ended up not staying. I hesitated to write a review, but figured this may help other solo travelers or people looking for a large group experience.

This place is an A+. Super clean, well organized and plenty of room between sites. I didn’t bring kids but it is a kids paradise. The porta John’s were spotless btw. I’ll be back for sure.

Another great stay at Finley Camp. We convinced some friends to stay at Site 3 across from us. Weather was perfect, had a great time hiking nearby Pinnacle Gulch to visit the beach, and got some local seafood. As always, the sites were clean, the portable toilets were in good shape and seemed just cleaned. It was busy and almost every site was full but no noise issues with how far apart the sites are from each other.

Oh what a perfect campsite! Perfectly maintained grass and firepit, cleanest portables i’ve ever seen, and such a fun scenic drive in. We were given extremely specific instructions on how to get there so we arrived with no issue. Initially coming into the property past the gate there is a very steep small dirt incline up to the campsites. We had a fully packed RAV4 on arrival and it did feel a little bit sketchy getting up the first time, I would definitely be aware of that. Daniel was extremely kind and communicative. Our campsite was perfectly private and beautiful. we couldn’t see or hear any other campsites unless you went over to the edges where they connected. To one side of the campsite is a pretty steep flipside and the other is a walled and fenced off area where the cows were wondering on our second morning. Definitely heard a lot of cows and they came up and stuck their heads right next to where we were sleeping which was pretty fun for us. I would’ve stayed there at least one more night if I had known how pleasant this site was going to be. Definitely recommend stopping the small towns along the way in and trying any cheeses or other local dairy products. We were able to comfortably make day trips out to Point Reyes. Driving through Cow country at Sunset with one of the highlights coming into the campsite and this place has the most wonderful campfire set up. Can’t wait to come back!

Finley camp is awesome! This is my family’s third time camping there. It’s nice to camp inland away from the wind (Bodega Bay can be super windy). We are a large group and prefer site 12 & 13. It allows us to spread out and offers more privacy. The toilet is clean. The setting is beautiful with trees and a small creek. It’s right down the highway from the ocean. We love it and will be back!

Beautiful spot and ample space for large groups (we were at Site #3 and it easily accommodated our group of three families). It's quiet and clean and a beautiful meadow area for the kids to run around. Also close to wonderful features that Bodega Bay has to offer. Have stayed here numerous times and will likely come back again!

Was one of my favorite hip camps. Camp host very responsive and friendly. Camp sites are very well thought out and spaced apart. Highly recommended. Only 20 ish minutes from the beach. Would definitely go back.

Site 3 - Finley Camp
Finley Camp was the perfect spot for a quick getaway near our home in Napa and yet still felt like we were far from the daily grind. With no cell service or WiFi, we got to enjoy time together, and soak in the beautiful nature and starry sky. The camp sites are very well maintained and generously sized. We were there midweek and had the place to ourselves, but come the weekend all sites were full. There are several sites that accommodate large groups (see listings), which is fabulous and clearly an appeal. But if seeking privacy and quiet are the goals, the only site that offers that is #4. All the others are wide open and facing each other, so you have no choice but to embrace the group dynamic with friends you might not have met yet. Also, during our time there, the number of cars and number of people per site exceeded what is in the listings, at least in one instance. So we got to experience both worlds: quiet, peaceful, and rustic while we were the only ones there, as well as bustling and full of energy when the crowds arrived. It’s a beautiful property and I suspect that we will be back.

Site 9 - Finley Camp
The Camp is tucked away in a fern surrounded meadow close to the coast. The grounds have sites close to Salmon creek that open into a meadow with basic porta pottie facilities, water and wash station. Cozy camp sites, pitch black at night and absolutely silent at night. There are fern covered steep grades surrounding the west, and golden steep hills to the east. This valley is abundant with blackberry bushes and other thick brush but well maintained on the sites. We had a great experience camping at Finley Camp!

Campsites #12 and #13 are very private. Better to book them together for a large group and don’t worry if you are a bit noisy. Beautiful space near a forest with ferns. There is a short trail uphill in the forest. Magical! It was very quiet at night and the birds songs are amazing in the morning. The water spigot is located a short drive at campsites 10-11. We filled our containers. We visited Bodega Bay beaches and our teens appreciated the seafood and icecream. Daniel is a great host.
