What an unexpectedly beautiful and peaceful spot! These sites are right on the Arkansas - right on it! There was a little staircase down to the river and you can walk along it for a few feet. The camp itself was very clean, level and easy to navigate as well.
We had the whole place to ourselves and we honestly wish we could have changed our plans and stayed there a bit longer. It's close to a few state/local parks and a really cool drive through a wildlife refuge. We watched the barges go by and the kids were fascinated by it (an added bonus)!
Johnny was very responsive and sweet. He sent us all sorts of info about the town and pointers on restaurants. I would highly recommend this camp!

This is a well maintained and relaxing site. Our dog loved the freedom to run around and play, and we loved the view of the river. Definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful Serene place on the river. The dogs enjoyed running around in the field. Would have loved to have a campfire but there's a burn ban right now so better keep the environment safe. Great responsive host. Sell signal was good. Beautiful sunsets

Communicative host. Campsite was great. Location just above the river. Enjoyed the views. We were lucky and got the place to ourselves, but sites are spaced out well! Would love to come back again!

Wonderful, private spot! Ducks and geese flying everywhere! There was plenty of firewood, water, electricity and such an amazing view! We had planned to take a tent but forecast called for rain, so we took our camper instead. MT Nebo was such a short drive away. We had to run into Russellville at 930pm due to me busting out air mattress. Everything you need is close by, maybe 17 minutes away. The host was very responsive and gave great directions! We have no complaints, except, we wish we could have stayed longer. The barges at night coming down the river was really awesome. Had a great time!

These are nice spots and have good views.
I would suggest getting a spot on either end to avoid car lights hitting you in the middle site. I had an end and so it didn’t affect me. I was alone. My suggestion is just that, a suggestion. Host was very responsive.

This is a beautiful spot overlooking the Arkansas River. We were the only campers of the 3 sites. Very quiet and peaceful! Will definitely return. Boat launch very close, Sneeden Island,

What an incredible location to stay at for several days! We were lucky to have the area all to ourselves which meant that we had total privacy and a stunning space on the Arkansas River all to ourselves. Our two pups LOVED it!
Johnny was a fantastic host and even notified us that we had the possibility of capturing a glimpse of the Northern Lights during our stay, which we did!
Although this area of the river is too strong to swim in, we enjoyed watching several large boats float by in the evenings and observed some fun wildlife in the area from afar.
We can’t think of a more perfect location and hope to return again soon!

By far the best Hipcamp I’ve ever stayed at. I had the whole place to myself. It’s up on a bluff overlooking the river. It’s peaceful and quiet and beautiful. The barges coming up and down the river at night are so interesting to see. I don’t know if the barges move on the river every night. Maybe I just got lucky. I am a single, senior female, and I felt totally safe there all by myself. I only stayed one night. I loved it so much. I wish I could’ve stayed many more nights.

Absolutely gorgeous spot. Would go again. Plenty of shade without impeding great views of the sunrise/sunset over the river. Super easy to access, felt secure. 10/10 recommend.

Great camp! Very secluded and off the beaten path. Access and hookups were easy to get too. With only 4 spots, you can invite a few of your friends and have the whole place to yourself. You'll need GPS to find the campground, there are no signs or markings identifying the campground. The road from I-40 to the campground was good.
Bring mosquito repellant if you plan to camp in the summer. River access was ok. Just a short, steep climb down to some metal steps. Fire pits would be nice to have, and I am sure the owner will be adding these sometime. We will definitely come back in the fall!

Beautiful location for a quiet getaway. Host was accessible when we had a question. Great place to watch birds. River was accessible for exploring or you could go fishing. Throughly enjoyed our time there.

This spot was wonderful. It was secluded, yet easily accessible. We had no issues getting a forty-foot camper into the spot to hook up to utilities. The shade from the trees and the wind off the river kept us nice and cool. The view was absolutely incredible— during the day and at night. Would highly recommend!

This location is spectacular! The elevated view of the Arkansas River from the campsite is gorgeous. You can set up camp under the tall canopy of trees, soak up sunshine in the open field, and enjoy the tranquility of the river on the expansive rock shelf below. It's located off a quiet country road with almost no traffic, and the only man-made sound we heard at night was a lone barge chugging its way up-river. Johnny is an excellent host: friendly and quick to communicate, as well as helpful and informative so we knew what to expect upon arrival. Our experience was completely wonderful!

Johnny and Cindy were great hosts. We were among the first guests on site. They had running water at the site electric is on its way. They joined the groups to watch the total eclipse and graciously provide cocktails and snacks. Excellent communications prior to our visit. Excited to see how this further develops as they have plans for additional improvements in this new campsite.
