Restwood Camp in Indiana

Host Thomas Sherer says:

1000 yards North of the Centerline of Total Darkness for Total Eclipse 2024!
40 minutes to the Indy 500 track in Speedway, Indiana.

$300 for the weekend (Fri May 24 - Sun May 26 leave Mon): We have 6 primitive+ sites plus a 4 RV sites available. Sleep over Sun night while you wait for the traffic to clear .... or arrive earlier and/or stay over longer at a discounted rate.

Our sylvan setting at the confluence of Snail and Sugar Creeks has been operated by our family as a place of solitude, river fishing and canoeing for over 100 years*. 'Indians' camped here year-round before Pioneers arrived, then during the early-1800s, a stagecoach station on the Cincinnati-Indianapolis line was built. (Yes, stagecoaches in Indiana - how even Eastern people got around before railroads). During WWII our Camp provided RnR for soldiers, sailors and aviators stationed at the numerous bases and training facilities in Indianapolis and Central Indiana.

25 miles SE of Indianapolis, Crossroads of America, 90 mi from Cincy via I-74, 100 from L'ville or 200 from Chicago via I-65.

Just 4 miles off I-74 Exit 109 at Fairland Rd (Indiana Grand Casino); 8 miles from I-65 Exit 97 at Worthville Rd, Camp Restwood is readily available to travelers on I-74, I-65, I-70 or I-69.

We are 30 minutes close for Indy 500 fans, NFL, Triple A, NBA, WNBA (w/ Caitlin) or NCAA fans!
