Welcome to Cedar and Bough! This secluded private Cove is nestled among mature trees and sits beside a tranquil stream that runs through the property. The water in the cove is beautiful and warm as it has full sun all day, the water in the creek is chilly but offers a great spot to cool or or float in the shade. Just across the quaint bridge, the property boasts 34 acres of forest, trails and fields for a full day of exploring. Our rustic log cabin overlooks Cedar Cove Beach and provides a terrific view and a cozy night's sleep. Evergreen Holler is set in our forest and a 1 minute walk from the beach. In the winter, enjoy a private pond skate or game of shinny with family and friends. End your day with a cup of hot cocoa in your cabin or roasting s'mores around a bonfire. Within a short drive or hike from the property, the area offers many provincial parks, trails, restaurants and grocery stores. Less than 90 mins from Toronto, we are located only 12 mins from Orangeville, 20 mins from Alliston and 40 mins from Wasaga Beach.

This secluded cove is nestled among mature trees and sits beside a tranquil stream that runs through this lush 34 acre property. The rustic log cabin overlooks the fresh water swimming hole and beach, providing a terrific view and a replenishing stay any time of year! The log cabin is a short walk from the parking area, just across a quaint bridge over the stream. It is private and equipped with limited solar power, a comfortable queen sized bed, a pull out sofa and dining table. Tucked in at the edge of the Cove, this 11’x19’ authentic log cabin also comes equipped with a private outdoor dining area with a portable BBQ, camp stove and picnic table. It has a water cooler (with hot and cold functions), a wood burning stove (for the colder months) and basic cooking supplies to make this off-grid stay, your most enjoyable one yet. There is a small mini fridge and freezer located near the parking area for guests. Additional coolers with ice are available upon request. A large clearing near the cabin is perfect for hosting your special occasion or for enjoying a game of corn-hole, badminton or bocce with family and friends. While the Cabin sleeps 4, for a small fee, your additional guests are welcome to camp in their own tents in the clearing beside the cabin where they’ll also have access to the fire pit and our relaxing 'hammock haven' at the edge of the beach. We will accommodate a maximum of 20 people at this site. With activities for any season and people of any age, you may choose to spend the day on the beach with the kids building sand castles, take a romantic hike through the property's 'broken bough trail' or have a fun-filled weekend with friends around the bonfire to create lasting memories. In the warmer months, soak up the sun as you relax and unwind on a beautiful soft sandy beach overlooking a freshwater swimming hole. We can provide beach toys, an inflatable island that seats 5-6 people as well as stand up paddle board's so that you can truly enjoy your day at the beach. The beach is semi private and may be shared with guests from our other site. In the colder months, the cabin is equipped with a wood burning stove that requires a quick tutorial upon arrival. You can enjoy a private pond skate, a game of shinny with family and friends or a snowmobile ride on the marked trails nearby. End your day with a cup of hot cocoa in the log cabin or roasting s’mores around a bonfire. Our Cabin guests will receive a continental breakfast, delivered to the cabin door at 9am each morning for a great start to the day. We hope you enjoy your stay at Cedar and Bough! When you arrive please stay to the left at the fork in the driveway. Signs will direct you to the parking area where we will meet you for a brief tour of the space. Located less than 90 minutes from Toronto and the Tri-CIties 2 minutes to Shelburne Town Centre 12 minutes to Orangeville 20 Minutes to Alliston 40 Minutes to Wasaga Beach Other things to note There is a portable washroom with a sink on site that is cleaned regularly and sanitized between guests for a pleasant and comfortable stay. It is located near the parking area and a short walk from the cabin. There is no shower facility on site but there is a water cooler with hot water along with an unplumed antique wash basin in the cabin for washing up. The property has a large variety of animals to see including deer, many species of birds and a variety of fish in the stream. Fishing is permitted in the designated area only.

This 8x11’ Bunkie with a loft is set just off pinecone path in our evergreen forest. It is equipped with limited solar power, a comfortable queen sized bed in the loft, a fold out sofa and dining table on the main level. It is beautifully decorated and also comes with a BBQ, camp stove, firepit and picnic table in the private outdoor dining area. There is a water cooler (with hot and cold functions) in the cabin along with basic cooking supplies to make this off-grid stay, your most enjoyable one yet. Guests have semi-private access to a beautiful soft sandy beach overlooking a freshwater swimming hole.
