We stayed at the cozy Cedar Cabin this long weekend during a blast of winter weather. Jaeda checked in with us beforehand and offered some generous options if we needed to rebook, but because we have a capable vehicle in the snow and really needed a quiet winter retreat we kept our reservation. We had a wonderful time keeping warm with the woodstove, while it snowed outside, in the cabin. We enjoyed reading, resting, cooking and exploring around the grounds. We loved making winter campfires outside each night and the cabin looked like it came out of a Hallmark movie in the falling snow. Chris checked in on us and dropped off lots of extra firewood, made sure the power was working nicely for our stay and we had a good chat. Jaeda was always in close contact and dropped us off breakfast in the am which was lovely. The bed was warm and comfy. There is a little speaker where we were able to stream some of our favourite music and listen to the local radio as well. We would love to return for a skate on the pond or a swim in the summer. The cabin felt like home right away and it was a much needed break for us. Thanks again!

Evergreen Holler Forest Retreat
My friend and I and our three pups stayed at Evergreen Holler Forest Retreat this past week (August 2024) for three nights. The cabin was clean and cozy. We had one rainy day where we made the best of it and hiked the Mono Cliffs which was lovely for our pups. Our other day was sunny and beautiful where we got to thoroughly enjoy the spring fed water hole. What a glorious spot! Our pups played in the water all day and we enjoyed the SUP boards, sun bathing and peace and quiet. I can't believe we had an entire private beach to ourselves. The grounds are beautiful and Dalene was there to answer any questions we had. We'd definitely come here again.

I loved the camping there. There was 10 of us. A couple of us stayed in the lodge while the rest of us stayed in tents. The land was spacious and private. The swimming hole was the best. There is a bit of distance from the site to parking. They do offer wagons to pull, which was great. They have a freezer and a really tiny fridge to share so if you’re thinking about an extra cooler to bring we recommend it. Overall terrific experience the kids and the dog loved it!

Beautiful stay and one for the books! If you're looking for a true retreat, away from the busyness of life, quiet in the middle of the forest...this is it. Don't forget to pack comfy, warm clothes as it gets a bit chilly in the cabin in the evening but you can also stay warm and cozy in the bed upstairs (thank the duvet for this!).

Cedar Cove Cabin Country Retreat
really nice place. Loved the lake and the beach setting. Just be prepared to share your space that's right outside your door with the other guests. Everything was clean and well taken care of.

Our trip to the cabin was perfect. Out of town, super quiet and secluded. Everything we needed for an end of summer trip. The hosts were awesome making sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely return next year.

Had a wonderful stay with my family. Loved everything at Darlene’s land and would visit again. For now I’m gonna rate it 8/10. Hopefully will be 10/10 when I visit again and get to see the washrooms and shower rooms at this property. Otherwise I loved everything else. It’s just lovely.

Evergreen Holler Forest Retreat
I loved this place. It is a beautiful cabin, well decorated with everything you need in it. The fireplace, hammocks, environment is everything you would need for a relaxing getaway in nature. The best part was the swimming hole and beach in the property. They even provide paddle boards and floater for use. I spent the entire stay in the property and I can’t wait to come back and stay longer. Thank you for providing a beautiful space. On top of everything, the hospitality was top notch with the complimentary breakfast. It was also dog friendly and my dog loved roaming around leash free and swimming in the swimming hole. We will be back !!!! Thank you so much.

5 days of pure and utter bliss. That is the best way for me to describe our stay at Evergreen Holler/Cedar Cove Cabin. 8 dogs, 8 children and 8 adults. From the age of 1 to 63 and everything in between, a fantastic time was had by all. We rented both sites and even though we went in with high expectations I have to say that those expectations were exceeded. Our Hostess was there for us every step of the way and made us feel welcome and that our needs were her primary concern. The swimming hole, the cabin and bunkie, the beach, the hiking trails and just the feel of being one with nature, everything was exceptional. If they are willing to have us back, as I know we can be a handful, we would definitely like to make it an annual tradition.

This place is amazing! All our expectations were met…and more! Lovely property and super comfortable. Kids got to enjoy sleeping in their own tent while we had a dreamy white-linen bed! Swim all day, BBQ and fire pit all evening. Hosts the best ever experienced - couldn’t do more to ensure a perfect stay! Will definitely return time and again. Looking forward to booking in winter time too!

I absolutely could not have asked for a better weekend. It was beautiful and very private. I enjoyed the fact we could use their paddle boards. My friends and family were in awe of the property. Definitely will be back. Dalene was a great host! Helped us whenever we needed something and went above and beyond. Getting us breakfast the next day and allowing us to use some tables and chairs! Thank you so much!

A winter stay at the cabin is an awesome experience. We loved the lights over the bridge and around the cabin, it looked so idyllic. The cabin is charming and well stocked. The hosts were readily available and ready to meet our every need.

Another fabulous stay at Cedar and Bough! This is my little spot of heaven just an hour away. So private and relaxing. My dogs absolutely love it too. They get to roam free and live like kings! I will definitely be returning again and again!!

We loved our stay at Cedar Cove Cabin! The cabin itself was super cute and cozy, with lots of beautiful and thoughtful decor. We especially loved the cast iron wood stove that kept us warm in the cool autumn nights. The property itself is so spacious, and the beach and swimming hole are fantastic. We did lots of walking along the trails around the property, which were stunning with all of the falling leaves. Our dog had a blast running around and sniffing everything, and loved snoozing in the warm cabin with us at night! There's a small barbecue and butane camp stove to cook meals, and a great fire pit as well. Jaeda was an incredible host, super responsive, and very friendly. The delivery of breakfast each morning was such a nice touch! Though you feel perfectly tucked away in nature at this location, you will hear the noise of cars driving on the highway - but with the proximity to Toronto (less than a 90 minute drive), it's something that can easily be looked over. We will absolutely be back!

Where to start. First, stop looking and book this place. My wife and I cannot say enough amazing things about Cedar Cove. From the pristine cabin and grounds to the friendliest and most caring owners. The cabin and grounds are very private and stunning during the day and night. Dee, Jaeda, Chris were so kind and were always available if needed. Anything you can think of that would make your trip funner, calmer, or romantic they have thought of it. Every detail has been thought of. The entire experience was a 15 out of 10. We are grateful we had the privilege to experience Cedar Gove. Thank you for sharing your oasis with us. We will be coming back.

Our family went camping here at Cedar cove and it was a fantastic experience!
We were greeted warmly and hosts has more to offer than expected, this is defiantly a camping experience I wouldn’t pass up, a small stocked cabin on site left for a smooth trip as it had basic essentials!
Hosts were a short text or call away and replied very promptly. The property is amazing for exploring , relaxing and having fun!
Dogs are welcome, ours had a blast!

It's your own private paradise with everything you would need. During my conversation with Dalene I told her that this was part one if our 25 yr wedding anniversary and upon our arrival we had a large bottle of champagne waiting for us with the sweetest card. Chris was an amazing host answering all our questions and concerns we even got a history lesson on the piece of land and cabin. Dinner was amazing and just the peacefulness and quietness was also amazing.

My family had the best experience staying here. No complaints. Everything was great. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. The cabin was adorable, and the hammocks were a huge hit. Breakfast came in a picnic basket- my children loved the variety. So many little details that made this a great experience for our big family (4 children). We will definitely come back.

We were a group of 13 people and really had a wonderful experience during our stay at Cedar Cove. Dalene/Jaeda is really a super host and was really helpful with all the directions and necessary items. You need not carry lot of things, please call them and check, they mostly have all the items you can think of. We really enjoyed the campfire experience and fishing (got few trouts), kids loved fishing. We were quite beginners and really recommend this to any type group of you are planning for camping.

The place was breathtakingly beautiful. You though the photos were good? Just wait until you arrive. But the BEST part about this trip was the hosts, they were the most kind people you’ll ever meet and their hospitality was out of the roof. I’ve never stayed somewhere with that amazing of people hosting.
Lots to do, trails, a beach with a very blue summing hole. Beautiful lights all around.
Pool noodles, water guns, ice, bug spray, breakfast in the morning and so much more was provided to make sure our stay was extra comfortable.
The inside of the cabin was amazing, you’ll feel like you’re on a five star restart.

Cedar Cove Cabin Country Retreat
We were looking for something not too far away from Toronto. This property is just 1hr 15min away from Toronto. It’s a huge 34 acre property although we didn’t explore everything but the cabin, pool with floats, fire, hammocks, small river stream and few trails into the woods are the highlights of our visit.
what we did- We grilled meat , BBQ and propane was provided by the host. Enough wood for the night for fire. They gave us Bose speaker if you have one take it and sync they will play together. We slept in cabin and some of my friends camped outside. Well, this is my first time camping so people like me who are scared to sleep in woods can just sleep in cabin- it has queen bed and pull out sofa (trust me this huge). There were enough chairs near the pool to sunbath when you wake up in the morning and lots of paddles & floats but we didn’t use as we went little late & it’s cold & I don’t know swimming. Nice hammocks between trees to lay back, relax or talk to friends. We were served with continental breakfast early morning. Personally, I loved the small river stream in the trail which was great when you walk alongside in the morning.
The host Dee and everyone are very accommodating & lovely people. They didn’t charge us for some stuff they had to. We will visit again soon and love to see the new things that you are planning to do in the property.
