Welcome to our cabins in the woods at Villa Vida Loca, in beautiful Sunderland, Ontario! Our tiny cabins are tucked away in the woods on our gorgeous, private 10-acre property in the heart of North Durham. We offer a unique glamping experience with all the benefits of camping, but with a roof over your head, floor under your feet and super cool amenities. Please read our full listings before requesting a booking. If you’re unsure about something, just ask. We’re very laid back, approachable and inclusive people, and can’t wait to welcome you. Nearby We’re surrounded by Beaverton on Lake Simcoe, Port Perry on Lake Scugog and Uxbridge (the Trail Capital of Canada), which are a close driving distance away. Around the corner from us, the Beaver River Wetland Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) is the perfect place for a hike or bike ride. There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – fabulous restaurants, breweries and wineries, top golf courses, beaches, fishing, watersports, agri-tourism experiences, events and more. Upon your arrival, we’ll provide you with an up-to-date list of recommendations based on the season.

La Cabaña at Villa Vida Loca
Stayed for 2 nights and would absolutely come back for another weekend (hopefully in the summer next time so we can experience the pool and the lake nearby!). Brian and Ann were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It felt like home away from home!

Quick getaway
We had a wonderful glamping stay here! We loved the space and the land. Lovely owners, it was a perfect cozy stay thanks to the space heater and lovely sheets they provided.!

Awesome getaway
We spent a day/night at this beautiful site with our dog and had a great time. Just a short trip outside of Toronto to escape the busy city life for a nice and relaxing getaway in nature with the comfort of staying in a cozy little A-frame cabin. Tucked inside of a large property that you get enough privacy but the hosts are not far away if you need anything. Brian was super nice and accommodating. We were free to wander the property and ran into him working in the shed but he still stopped what he was doing to show us around, like their market, products (ex. honey), chickens, etc. Their two HUGE dogs that came to visit us at night were friendly and super handsome.

We spent a wonderful Saturday night in the love shack. Very comfortable and absolutely beautiful property. Hosts were magnificently, friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back! Smokehouse on site with great food options, a lovely store with goods from local people, and the friendliest chickens we have ever met!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
Ann & Brian were such wonderful hosts. The site is spacious, private, welcoming and homey. So much to do and a perfect weekend getaway! Bonus of having Koda & Maximus hanging out by the fire with us :)!
