**IMPORTANT INFORMATION** Cracknback Campground is situated almost half way between Kempsey and Armidale shires. They are each responsible for this road. The boundary between the two shires is at Blackbird Flat - which is 12 km from us towards Kempsey. The Armidale Shire section of road is officially closed (though not policed). We are obliged to pass on this information as it must be your decision whether to drive on Armidale Shire Road. There are also old signs still up saying road closed/landslip/turn around etc. Our working farm is located between Kempsey and Armidale at Lower Creek in mid-north NSW. We have grassy campsites right on the beautiful Macleay River, which is famous for Bass fishing, kayaking and swimming. *When you come here, our home is your home. Please respect the pristine wilderness and leave no trace. Clean up your camp and take your rubbish home. * Heaps of flat ground for kids to ride bikes * Watch tortoises and fish in the river * Beautiful mountain ranges and and such an open sky you can see the Milky Way * 30 roomy sites, flushing toilets, hot showers * We are dog friendly...if your dog is friendly. Please pick up after them. * Fire pits provided but bring your own wood Additional guests welcome at $20 per head per night over 15 years old. Kids under 15 years $5 per night.

Come camp along the beautiful Wilson River on a working cattle property. Shady, grassy campsites by a flowing river, just 25 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. The camp area includes a camp shed, where campers can make use of the picnic table, stainless steel food preparation bench and camp fire pit. There are only 2 sites available with power. Please select power as an ad on extra when booking. Port a loos are available for Hire. If you have 3 or more children please call me for a discount. Kids will love the farm tour and feeding of pigs, sheep and horses. It's an excellent area for mountain bike riding as well! Kayaks available for free. Don't have a caravan, we have partnered up with Wrighty's Caravan Hire & Repairs. linktr.ee/wrightyscaravans. They offer family caravans delivered, setup ready for you to enjoy. Pets allowed but you must discuss with owners prior to booking. Rules: 1. For the piece and quiet of other campers all check-ins must be before 4.30pm during the colder months. Check ins after 8pm may be turned away in busy times. 2. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock 3. 9pm quiet time. 4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers 5. Generators are allowed for short period of time but not permitted after 8pm. 6. A 150-acre working farm with a stunning outlook over the saltwater Maria River (with a rustic boat ramp and waterway running into the Hastings River). Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, and local strawberry and tomato picking. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. All you need to do is find one of our intimate sites for you to pitch a tent or pull up with the camper van. THERE ARE NO AMENITIES SO YOU MUST BE FULLY SELF CONTAINED AND LEAVE NO TRACE. Each campsite has a fire pit - Firewood is available to purchase from the service station in Crescent Head and you are also welcome to gather wood from the property. No Dogs.

Camping is available in a choice of sites from open mown grass (with shade), to treed bush areas (4WD). Acres of open space for the kids! Your friendly dog is welcome, don't bring other dogs thanks! SORRY NO TENT ONLY CAMPING, Camper trailers, Caravans, Motorhomes welcome. We have no amenities yet, so you will need to be self contained. Dump points are at Wauchope and Port Mac. We also host events (up to 100 people) and we have a covered band stage, see pics below. Little Plain Hall Grounds

Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of campsites available. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (PLEASE NOTE: We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the South -off the Pacific highway at Taree through Wingham, Follow the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls. We are approx. 5 kms from the falls turnoff. From the north- Off the Pacific Highway: Again the brown tourist signs will get you to Ellenborough Falls Port Macquarie end through Comboyne-either way requires access over narrow, dirt roads. From the Falls turnoff: continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). you will cross over 2 bridges. After the 2nd bridge, the grounds are on your right at the top of the small hill. Larger rigs are not advised. One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome. We do try to keep a limit on the number of animals on site at any one time so a quick notice to Kate if you plan to bring your furry friends, please. Hall available for hire - please send an enquiry.
