My homestead is located on 4 1/2 acres of pastureland that currently have no animals. You will turn on Powell rd to reach the back portion. The camping spots are located on the back part of the property and along a refurbished shed that includes 1 added 30 amp plug; interior electric, clean well water delivery or hose filling in warmer months as well as a separately fenced area for visiting canines (Please only non-aggressive breeds unless leashed at your camp). My Golden has an invisible fence and is not allowed to visit campers unless permitted. Fires are only permitted and shared on the back patio of my home. Activities for fun on site include corn hole, firepit on lower patio along with a propane weber grill. Only 2-3 mile from Frontier Park and an electric bike ride to downtown to tour the museums, restaurants and shops. Currently, new to hip camp and refurbishing the house and exterior so The Shed will be a working/congregating space with refrigerator/freezer, electric cooktop and indoor space with a fan so folks can escape their cars/vans. Wi-Fi is also available in the shed and the surrounding camp areas toward the building. This was my dream come true property and I'm looking forward to sharing it with road warriors like me. Weather is forever changing here and clouds roll by fast leaving the most fabulous rainbows. I just ask that no fires of any kind be set at your site because the field is a fire hazard in the dry plains.

These campsites are mainly for car campers and tent campers, although small RVs up to 20 ft are welcome as well. We invite you to enjoy our organic vegetable seed farm with its trees, nearby water, and abundant wildlife. You’ll see pelicans, turtles, herons, and other creatures, plus a few non-poisonous bullsnakes that help keep the mice at bay. From our property, you’ll have the opportunity to experience nature on a working farm. Scotts Bluff National Monument is visible from the land and just a 15-minute drive away, along with the extensive Legacy of the Plains Museum. And nothing compares to a Nebraska sunrise or sunset, with skies exploding in unforgettable colors. We are experienced farmers, and Nathan is a master naturalist who can lead hikes at nearby sites, including the Wildcat Hills. We also offer our farm products—grass-fed hamburger, garlic, and vegetable seeds—available for sale year-round. Seasonal vegetables and eggs may also be available. Throughout the year, we host special events through the Living Environment Foundation. Our largest gatherings include the Ancestral Skills Festival in August and the Seed Fest in autumn. This is a century farm, and the barn you’ll see on the property is over 100 years old and still in great condition. These are also the ancestral lands of the Lakota tribe. We are grateful for their stewardship and aim to honor their tradition of caring for the land through our certified organic and biodynamic farming practices.

Get away from the hustle and bustle and settle into life on a real working farm in western Nebraska. We grow specialty crops of cut flowers & Pumpkins. Just over 3 hours from Denver, BE Farm offers more than just a place to spend the night—it’s a full immersion in farm life, nature, and wide-open skies. With Nebraska’s iconic Chimney Rock just 8 miles south, Scotts Bluff National Monument 25 miles west, and Carhenge 40 miles northeast, adventure is never far. At night, the Milky Way lights up the sky—so vivid it feels like you could scoop it up in your hand. The campsite is nestled along Wildhorse Creek, shaded by trees and surrounded by wildlife. Deer, raccoons, and native birds are common visitors, and Rainbow and Brown trout glide through the waters (note: no fishing is allowed). In summer, you might spot Farmer Billy tending crops or setting irrigation at sunrise and sunset—it’s all part of the BE Farm experience. During October, it’s Pumpkin Patch season at BE Farm, and with your stay, you’ll be welcome to enjoy all the fall vibes at the Farm. A quick note: The Farm is open to the public on Fridays (4 p.m.–dark), Saturdays (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), and Sundays (10 a.m.–6 p.m.). Farmer Billy will do his best to ensure you enjoy your time here, but please note that other guests will be present at the farm during open hours. Weekend Trip to Peaceful Prairie Campsites

This was the best site I've ever camped at and can't recommend it enough! You're all to yourself but still nearby other sites. The town, as well as Scottsbluff NM and Chimney Rock, are close by. Lisa was an excellent host, wish we could've talked longer! Make sure you're well prepared for the weather...the wind swept through the canyon just right and snapped our tent. Will definitely look for this place again the next time I come out!

This land is gorgeous and we felt so lucky to camp there. We decided to camp last minute on our cross country road trip back home to Idaho and it happened to be my birthday. The sunset was incredible and the prairie was gorgeous. Be prepared for the wind!

1 night at The Last Resort

First thing’s first: Jana and Tim are the loveliest, most welcoming hosts. One of my favorite parts of this Hipcamp stay was sitting down with them and enjoying conversation over coffee in the morning before I left. They had great stories and helpful tips for exploring the area by bike, as well as a scenic detour (plus hot springs) as I headed toward my next destination. Beyond this, I had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. I caught a beautiful sunset while riding along on the surrounding country roads, followed by a hot shower, and slept soundly under thousands of stars with the distant hum of cows. Had access to a super clean porto right at Camp. I chose a spot behind several rows of trees that Tim and Jana planted almost thirty years ago—the whole area felt private, yet expansive. Can’t recommend this camp, and these hosts enough!!

Three Little Birds is for smaller rigs. This camper was able to unhitch a trailer and park his cart in this site.

We Loved the dispersed camping experience with the Last Resort. A step back in time camping on a family farm.. BIG SKY.about 3 miles off the interstate 80. All we could hear was crickets.. sunrise and sunset was awesome and Jana and Tim were the warmest of hosts. Tim has a lot of vision for what the property could be and is currently renovating grain bins into cabins.. they have a community fire pit and ensured we had everything we needed. Un expectantly Tim had to help us energize our slide out as out battery went dead.. no problem!

We loved 30 amp lights out. The spot was very nice and level which made set up easy. Allowing us way more time to enjoy the space. Michelle is a 10 out of 10, she knew all the local cheat codes and had a lot of valuable insights for the next leg of our trip. We will definitely save this as a favorite.
