The property is a second farm that has been in my family's history since the 1960's. We are a working crop, horses and beef cattle farm. We raise crops on this property. We have a main farm down the road that if you would like to visit, we can try setting that up so you can see the animals if you would like. Please note that the cabin has a porta potty outside. The cabin does not have electricity, but an extension cord can be brought and plugged into the outdoor electric outlet. The cord can be run into the cabin to use the fan, lamp and electric skillet or infrared heater in the colder months. There is a water hydrant outside for bathing or boiling. The water is non potable. We have direct access to the property for ATV/UTV's for the public road use on the back roads. You can travel from town to town and sight see. Such a lovely space in a gorgeous place with great hosts! Betty and Ed were super welcoming, friendly, and accommodating to our needs as guests. Their land is stunning and it was so nice to step right outside the cabin to go on nature walks. The nearby towns are fun to explore too. The photos of their cabin don’t do it justice, it’s very cute and thoughtfully designed! Would happily stay here again.

We had an incredible time staying in the red barn! Loved interacting with the turkeys and cows and being so close to them was a real treat. The barn is also on a little hill, which gives you an incredible view of the surrounding area. The barn was very clean and had everything we needed. Truly our favorite stay to date.

This was a trip for my spouse and I to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the absolute best experience to have one-on-one time away from kiddos and to be in nature. Betty was a wonderful communicator, very thorough in her instructions and directions, and gave us the lay of the land upon arrival. We were kicking ourselves that we didn’t reserve more than two nights. From hiking to fishing to cooking outside, firepit, cards and movies inside, it was a lovely experience. The cabin itself was perfect. Brand new and very functional. We truly had everything we needed and more. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Very easy to find, great communication with the host . Very quiet and a fun place with everything you would ever need. Great fire pit with plenty of dry firewood, would definitely stay again a fun eclectic little home!

Weekend Trip to Lower Wisconsin State Riverway

Our family loved this camping site, absolutely beautiful!! Having coffee while watching the sunrise was my favorite part. Our boys played soccer, went fishing and swimming. Our dogs have never had so much fun! Seth was a great host and we will definitely stay here again.

Christine and her place were wonderful! So friendly and accommodating and the barn is absolutely adorable! So many sweet details and incredibly clean and comfortable! Shared the back bedroom with my kiddo with no problems and a grandparent stayed in the smaller bedroom and we were all very comfortable! The animals were wonderful and the location and property are absolutely beautiful! The cleanest and nicest port-a-potty I have ever seen! Highly recommend and we just tried some of Christine's Christmas pickles and they are delicious!

Great experience! Had our own secluded side of the island. Great spot, had plenty of shallow swimming holes to choose from. The dogs had loads of sandy beach to run on. Seth was more than helpful. On our second day he checked on us to see if we needed anything. We ran a bit low on ice so he delivered us some with his jet boat. I’d do it again

Absolutely would recommend Justin’s Trails. Came in late and was extremely well taken care of. Breakfast was fabulous. Dogs had a chance to exercise after traveling cooped up for a long time l. Great people- lovely accommodations! Ask about the player piano!

2 nights at Elysian View Farms

We had a wonderful 4 person, 3 generation summer trip to the beautiful driftless. We were comfortable as a group of 4. The bedrooms were attached to a cute living/rec area in the barn charmingly decorated & filled w/ homemade jams, pickles, produce, ice cream, cookies, etc. available for purchase at good prices.(NOTE: that part is open to the public & we had surprise visitors once). The dilly beans were our favorite, we could have eaten 5 quarts! The property itself is quite beautiful with many artistic features and surrounded by Amish farms on the lush green, rolling hills. You can hear the “clip clop” of horse-drawn buggies. In the morning and evening, hummingbirds buzzed all around the many small gardens in the expansive yard. If you are in the mood to saunter, you can take a stroll in just about any direction. The Belties (black cows w/ a white middle) were shy at first but they allowed us to give them treats on our 2nd day. The calves were affectionate from the start! There was a bench positioned for watching the sunset, and the night sky was filled w/ stars & the band of the Milky Way. The fire pit was safe & sturdy w/ an attachable grill & plenty of free wood for a nice fire. Importantly, the address is w/in a short drive to many regional attractions, incl Wildcat Mountain State Park, the Kickapoo Valley Reserve & Elroy-Sparta State Trail, along with many other trails, lakes & streams. We loved Elysian and have plans to visit again soon.

Weekend Trip to Healing Hills

Highly recommend this Hipcamp, it's exactly like the photos portray – simple and comfortable. The land and scenery are really something special. Very close to Driftless Music Gardens, about 7 minute drive. On a hot August weekend, it was so nice to have access to AC/fans (and comfy beds!), making it a great alternative to tent camping at the festival. We will definitely stay again, thank you Beth and Pat!
