Our property offers a variety of activities. We welcome horses (with recent coggings) ATV and UTVs will be able to access the county ATV and UTV trails. With a lot of ground you can choose from rolling your tent, hammock, RV or stay at our primitive tiny home. All fires will be contained and in designated area only. Spur of the Moment Resort provides a unique experience as it resides on the Nicolet Recreational Trail at the Southern End of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Booking a campsite, rustic camping cabin, or log cabin gives you direct access to the trails and a recreational wonderland. The Nicolet Trail is a 90 mile long trail that connects ATV's and UTV's to all of our trails in Oconto County, Marinette County, Forest County, Florence County, Langlade County, and the upper peninsula of Michigan. If you’re a HipCamper reading this and the listing is still available, book it right now! The tiny house rental exceded my groups expectations in every way. The tiny house itself is nicer inside than expected and thoughtfully built. The hot outdoor shower felt amazing on a cool night after spending the day hiking. The stars on this property are the best I’ve seen in all of Wisconsin, we all saw multiple shooting stars each night. The hosts kept us well stocked with firewood and their farm fresh eggs. Randy and Alnilda are really cool and kind folks. They really cared about how we were doing and enjoying our stay. They made our weekend trip the best it could have been.

Stayed in Cabin 1 at the camp ground. The host was great I let them know in advance would be a long day of traveling, they took the time to make sure everything was arranged so I had everything would need upon arrival. Both the cabin and bathrooms were clean and you can tell they take pride in the property as it was clean and well maintained.

Weekend Trip to River Forest Campground & Rafting

We had the most amazing and peaceful time at River Forest! The site was lovely with the twinkling lights, and the cabin was so clean and cozy! Amy was kind enough to give us maps, suggestions, and lots of info on where to fish, hike and eat..and Dan was the nicest! He brought a porta potty right to the sight since it was already too cold to use the facilities, and made sure we had more than enough firewood. He also gave us a GREAT food suggestion of a nearby place called Grudgeville Pub and Grub! The food was awesome and the hospitality even better! (Go there!) It was chilly, as we went in early November, but we will DEFINITELY be coming back in the spring and/or summer!!
