The farm has been in the family for four generations. We don't have any livestock anymore and rent the fields to the neighbors but the home, outbuildings and five acres are well-loved and used as our home base and also for rustic weddings, graduation parties, reunions and barn dances. In 1974, the farm was used as the location for the TV movie "Things in Their Season" starring Patricia O'Neal. We put up one of the first barn quilts in the county and are on the route of the Bike the Barn Quilts bike ride (held last Saturday in September.) We spent 2 nights (tent camping) at Site 3 and loved it. A perfect getaway from the city. There is some road noise that can be heard, but aside from that it is extremely private and quite peaceful. The natural prairie with trails was a great activity to walk through (tons of butterflies!). Host was very responsive. Firewood was provided (thank you!). Will definitely return, this is such a gem of a place.

The views at Leon's campground were wonderful! We were really pleased with the amount of space we had. The land was well cared for and free of weeds. I highly recommend staying here for tent camping in the area.
