There is a small turn around on the path just beyond Crooked Butt Bench where you can take out your canoe, kayak, or inner tubes after floating the 2+ miles from the Oakland bridge. Just be prepared to walk your water craft back up to the house or Glamping site as there is no motorized access to the river.If you like to lay on the rocks in the sun or take the kids for some wading in the river, the best place is the farthest to walk to. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. This was a perfect peaceful getaway! We only stayed for two nights but will definitely be back! Donald provides so much making it as stress free as possible! We really enjoyed the sound of the creek at all times and the hot showers! The yurt is beautiful and comfortable and the bathhouse was insanely clean and convenient! 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting some time in the woods! Donald was very responsive, I was able to message him when needed through the app!

We had a wonderful stay! Claire was super responsive and helpful leading up to the trip and with her directions the site was easy to find and setup! The space is lovely with beautiful open views of the night sky available and enough trees for shady spots throughout the day. We’re already talking about going back again sometime!

The camp site was beautiful and spacious for four people. The compost toilet was in good condition although the temps were too cold for the showers. Jennifer had plenty of wood for purchase and we had a great time with the farm dog, although he can be nosey at night and is a good reminder to pack up all food and food items well and securely when camping. We would definitely return!

The site is great! Right on the Yough. There is a slope roof to set up your camp kitchen out of sun and potential rain. There is a stand alone bathroom with toilet and sink. Jeffrey was a good host and quick to answer questions. Only thing to know is it is very close to train line which is loud when they come by.

It was great to camp at possum tail. Rain moved in while I was there, but I had a great view of storms coming across the mountains in the distance. Bishop the big friendly farm dog dog stopped by a couple of times. He was well trained and a good watch dog at night, which was a bonus in this remote area.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Haven at the Farm
We loved it. Didn't pull in the first night until after 9:30, so having everything set up already was awesome. We did not end up using the hot tub, but the hot shower was AMAZING! Everything we could have wanted was there. We used the site as a base camp to visit Ohiopyle, PA and Cooper's Rock WV. Both were within a half hour of camp.

This was the cutest little hidden gem we've found so far! They thought of everything you need to escape to nature.. even an outdoor "heated tub"! Which in this 90° + degree weather, was quite amazing as a cold plunge!! Beds were so comfortable as well! Loved hearing the birds and bugs, and stream Which was only a few feet away from a covered porch! The outdoor restroom/shower house was well designed and beautifully cleaned.

My husband and I were looking for a private romantic getaway in nature and that’s exactly what we got. This place is a complete gem. We only stayed for the weekend. I would’ve rather stayed a week. I cannot wait to go back!!! Donald thought of everything to make your camping trip enjoyable. There was even bug spray in the tent. There were horses and goats and beautiful trails to hike a calming babbling creek. Everything you could want!!

Nice and secluded. It is nice to be right next to the river, however the water is not really accessible unless you walk through some mud to get to it. Maybe I was just there when the river was extremely low. The trains are loud when they go by but it didn't bother me. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

This spot is best for a van camp location but plenty of space for tents and hammocks. You'll find a drive-up deck if you wish to park there. Firewood is available providing you use downfalls as kindling in the stone fire pit. A 8x20' deck and picnic table are 20 feet from the fire for stargazing. When the ferns are full grown they are 3 feet tall and everywhere. A 10 minute walk takes you through a dense pine forest with large rock formations and a nice creek with many gurgling fall areas. If there looks like a cave amongst the large rocks, then it probably is a bear den. There is a lot to do near by. Some note worthy locations : Cranberry Glade Lake (good for kayaking or fishing), Ohiopyle, 7 Springs, Fallingwater, Living Treasures, Caddie Shak, and Hidden Valley are all about 25 minutes away. This property also borders Laurel Ridge State Park. There is a Dollar General and a gas station about 15 minutes away for convenience needs.
