No water, no toilet, no electricity—just trees, creeks, and whatever the heck you need to work out with nature. There are no designated campsites. You’ll choose your own spot—flat, forested, tucked-away, or by the seasonal creek. Some areas are cut away just enough to help keep the ticks out of your underwear (you’re welcome), but this is still very much wild land. You’ll find: • Towering evergreens • Snowberries, serviceberries, and wild grasses. Moss covered rocks and perhaps a spot we have yet to discover. • Mosquitoes (don’t say we didn’t warn you) • A whole lot of space to wander, both literally and figuratively This site is best suited for tent campers, car campers, backpackers, and solitude seekers. Artists, writers, and wandering weirdos are especially welcome. Trailers UNDER 22 feet only. Because of the primitive terrain we are not set up for anything over 22 feet. Please do NOT BRING anything larger. We truly appreciate it. Camper vans would do well at Primitive Acres. The land is remote, about 30 minutes from Spokane and 10 minutes from Loon Lake, and you likely won’t see another soul—but there are neighboring parcels nearby, each about 20 acres in size. You’ll feel alone, but not abandoned. No generators, no parties, no pets off leash. Pack it in, pack it out. No fires unless permitted. This isn’t a resort, but it’s definitely a reset. Come prepared. Come curious. Come undone, if you need to. WARNING: wild animals do roam through here. We ask that you watch your pets and keep them on leash for their safety. Brown Barrel has huge potential to become a really nice spot to get away for some quiet time. We wish we had known that we would be the only ones there as our spot was extremely dusty as it appeared to be more recently established and there was another spot that had gravel and would been a more pleasant spot to set up camp. Generally, the "camp ground" was pretty rough. The flush toilet was a major bonus even though we were fully prepared to dry camp. Our dogs appreciated being able to be off leash.

The Lazy C campground was a spectacular way to end our family roadtrip. The space is clean and well kept up. Site #3 has water and electric hookups (sewer is optional for extra charge). The water line appears to run from site #2 so make sure the valve is open over there. I didn't understand why our water wasn't on until I figured that out. Beautiful views of the area and the outhouse is very clean. Pretty good wifi was available at our site.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Lazy C Campground! From the moment we arrived, Bryan and Colleen went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their hospitality was warm and genuine, and they generously offered us a beautiful RV spot which made our trip feel even more special. The location is perfect—right off Highway 20 with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It truly felt like a hidden gem. We were constantly surrounded by nature, with plenty of deer wandering through the area, and an owl, which added such a magical touch to our morning and evening. Our site was spacious, clean, and had full hookups, which made settling in super convenient. We loved gathering around the shared fire pit—it was a great way to unwind. The on-site bathroom was well-maintained and easily accessible, and to top it all off, the WiFi signal was strong and reliable—a rare and much-appreciated bonus for a campground! Lazy C offered the perfect mix of comfort, natural beauty, and small-town hospitality. Whether you’re just passing through or planning a longer stay, I can’t recommend this place enough. These hosts deserve 5 stars for excellent communications! We booked in late (8pm-ish) and arrived after dark. They were so helpful with ensuring we had throw directions through text, as we were concerned about not having data or service, coming from Canada.They’re such lovely people with an amazing property! We were so stoked on the beautiful valley view from the site and private outhouse that was very clean and didn’t smell… at all!! The walking trails connecting the site to the sunset trail and communal space are well maintained and a beautiful taste of nature and the property has to offer.
