Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River. Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you. At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep. The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts. You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness. There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire. You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course). There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run. Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. The site was perfect, for our 2 day trip! Plenty of space for our vehicle, a trail, room for multiple tents, a fire pit, outhouse and a beautiful view! The hosts are absolutely wonderful and so communicative. Which I love! I would absolutely book again! Great plot for a break from reality!

Weekend Trip to SPOKANE CAMPING In The Forest

I just wanted to take a moment to share how incredible our stay was. This was our second visit at such a remarkable place and we decided to share it with our entire family! (which only goes to show how amazing our first trip was!!) From the moment we arrived, Jane and John went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We decided to have our baby shower here to welcome our son Wolfgang to the pack! Upon arrival Jane & John didn't just welcome us, they made us feel like family. They even set up two canopies for the rain, ensuring we could still celebrate comfortably, which we did! It's rare to find people who genuinely care about your experience the way they do. Everything about the campsite reflected their hard work and dedication to a clean, organized, and beautifully maintained campground, and the hospitality is like no other. You can feel the care, attention, and heart that goes into every detail. This was more than just a stay, it was an experience we'll never forget. Thank you again Jane and Jon, for everything. I was in town for an event. Coyote Flats is a roomy, quiet, flat spot that was perfect for my dogs and I to hang out in the mornings and evenings. While I didn’t see any coyote, there were plenty of deer and turkeys nearby. Highly recommend this spot.
