A 15-20 minute walk takes campers to a swimming hole in the cool Stillaguamish river for a dip or a paddle. Even closer is Whitehorse Regional Trail (great for biking, walking and horseback riding) built on the bed of the former BNSF railroad through the North Stillaguamish River Valley, spanning over 27 miles. The nearly level trail meanders through the valley, rewarding visitors with picturesque, landscape views of forests, farmland, streams and rivers, and mountain vistas. Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. In season there is also fishing, snowshoeing, concerts at the blue grass festival grounds, a rodeo, and so much more.

We are located on the back side of Old town Lake stevens and a 10 minute drive to the Gateway town of the Olympic national forest with Hundreds of hiking trails and a beautiful scenic 3 hour drive that is call Mt. Loop Hwy and goes through the off grid town of Silverton, has access to the gate of the old town of Monte Cristo and drives all the way through on gravel from there to the town of Darington and loops back to us. She is small, clean and very affordable. We have fun loving dogs that love to visit and your dogs are welcome too. We have a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and out door wood burning fire pit for use. As you drive down our gravel path into 70 lush acres, you'll discover a haven with minimal development, abundant wildlife, and a rejuvenating retreat immersed in nature. Our offerings include RV and tent sites, group sites, and day passes for the lake and picnic area. With various beautiful, wooded spots and premier water-view sites along the lake, each campsite provides a unique experience. Sites typically accommodate one vehicle and a picnic table, with available hookups for water and power (30 or 50 AMP) or primitive options. We also have a dump station at the campground entrance. Most RV and tent sites are optimally situated to be free from visible structures, allowing you to enjoy silent nights, dark starry skies, dirt paths, wildlife, and natural beauty. 1 night at Valhalla Tree Farm

What a fantastic spot. Valhalla Tree Farm is the perfect place to unplug and get cozy. The off-grid cabin was simple and comfortable, and the propane heater kept us toasty the whole time. Even with the water shut off for the season, everything was easy to manage, and the covered fire pit meant we could still enjoy a fire while it sprinkled most of the trip. Shannon was super helpful and responsive, and we loved being able to wander the property and let the dog run around off-leash. The backdrop of the escarpment is beautiful and makes the place feel extra special. Honestly, I’m almost hesitant to hype it up too much because I do not want to fight for dates next time. We’ll be back!

Weekend Trip to Camp Keyser Forest Camp

Second time staying here, and it’s one of my favorite local get aways. You feel so secluded, but it’s only 90ish minutes from Seattle. Bed is ridiculously comfy, and it’s a great way to reset off grid. Lots of great hikes nearby, too. It’s definitely cosy, so recommend preparing food in advance so you can easily cook without tripping over each other. You’re close to a highway so you’ll hear car noise, but it doesn’t bother us at all. The lane is quiet and a great walk with the dog in the am to see the cows

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

The cabin at Valhalla once again proved to be a wonderful autumn destination to relax amongst the trees, listen to the babbling stream, soak in the sun atop Look Out Rock and cook up some good food around the campfire. I can't say enough good things about this place, it is really an oasis of calm.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

The A-Frame is spectacular. The host is kind, welcoming, accommodating, and a joy to work with. I've now visited this and the same owners' other cabin 3-4 times and will continue to! Comparing the 2 below (I love them both - just depends on what you're looking for) Similarities: --Both have: -super- fire pit areas, great views (one woods, one more open), privacy, keypad lock on door, access to trails, gas-powered indoor burner for cooking, outdoor shower with hot water (in season), ~4" foam mattresses on all beds, parking for at least 2 vehicles, picnic table, outdoor chairs and table on a deck. Differences: --The A-frame has side-by-side sleeping arrangements, wider than a king bed, so great for singles AND great for couples. The cabin has bunk beds. --The A-frame has some pots, pans, and dishes to help on a rainy day. Last I was there, the other cabin didn't have dishes/cookware. --Running sink water at each (in season), indoors at A-frame and outdoors at cabin. --The cabin has gas-powered heat and the A-frame has a wood stove. --The A-frame has a composting toilet, cabin has an outhouse. --The tables at each are different orientation - A-frame's can be folded up/down but you sit side-by-side. Cabin is 2 benches and you face each other. Seriously, though, you can't go wrong with either!

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch

We had a wonderful stay at the potting shed for our 2nd anniversary! Dave and Sharon are great and hospitable hosts who have put so much love and care into their property and this cabin. We had everything we needed and more and even though it was a very rainy weekend, we still got to enjoy the trails and gardens on the property with some raincoats on!! We woke up on our last morning to some delicious muffins dropped off in the kitchen and Dave cut us some mushrooms to take home with us! The kitchen was well-stocked and with it being super chilly outside the shower and kitchen sink still got warm!! This is such a cozy and peaceful place with all of the amenities that you’d need but with an outdoorsy glamping perk! We will definitely be back!

Staying at the Sweetheart Cabin was the PERFECT autumn weekend getaway! It was stormy and rainy outside a lot of the time, but that just made the cozy cabin even better with the wood stove, string lights, candles, and blankets. The cabin as well as communal spaces were clean and everyone was so kind. 2 nights at Valhalla Tree Farm

My wife, dog, and I stayed at the A frame cabin and had a wonderful time! We loved all the views from sunrise to sunset and exploring the forest. We kept super cozy with the amazing wood stove and firepit outside for extra fun. Valhalla tree farms with all the sites, trails, ponds, and forest is absolutely stunning, charming, and magical. We will definitely be back to further explore and connect with all the nature around!

This is a truly pristine forest setting for your camping. This is exactly what we were looking for and strangely in this area there are practically no sites with lush forest like this. On top of that, Alexia was fantastic host to show us everything and made us feel welcome.There’s even a farm where you can go visit the animals and just experience a peaceful way of life. Can’t recommend this place enough and we will return for our annual night out of camping again next year.

We can't thank the hosts enough for such a magical stay. From The moment we stepped on property to the opening of the doors to the potting shed. Our minds bodies and hearts were at Peace. So glad we were able to spend our annversay on this amazing property. This getaway has been everything a more. Our family has a chance to connect with nature with each other while also enjoying individual solo time wonder the property. The fire pit and s’mores were our favorite. Second favorite were the dogs and picking flowers and learning about the Property. Even on a semi chilly fall day our body’s heart and soul were kept warm the entire stay. My daughter really enjoyed her loft and the WiFi. We slept sooo comfortably and cozy in the shed. This has been one of our favorite family getaway to date. Hopefully we will return in the near future. With gratitude from our family to yours

It's a fun tree house which is perfect for a family of 4. Our kids loved playing board games, watching TV, etc. The host was super generous and even provided homemade cookies. The bathroom situation is quite interesting with an emergency solution inside the tree house and the primary toilet in a portapotty a few steps away from the tree house.

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and it was amazing! Paula is a great host. The site was quiet which cannot be said of traditional camping options. The shower set up was right out of a spa, so relaxing during a rain shower. The location is great with a quick walk to the river and a short drive to town. We plan to check out the cabins next time. I definitely recommend!
