Nestled near Arlington, our 75-acre property spans both new and old forest, featuring a salmon-filled creek and a vibrant beaver pond—all set against the dramatic backdrop of a 1,200-foot sheer cliff crowned with old-growth trees. Since its purchase in 1958 as a family retreat, this land has grown into much more than a getaway. It has become a place for relaxation, adventure, and connection with nature—a private forest for family and friends to enjoy. Over the years, the family has adopted forest stewardship and sustainable timber harvesting practices, while also developing campsites, trails, hosting rock concerts, and even producing wine. What began as a simple escape has evolved into something extraordinary: a tree farm that successfully balances nearly every goal a forest landowner could imagine—timber production, wildlife habitat, natural beauty, recreation, and forest resilience. Valhalla embodies all of this with a harmony so seamless, it feels effortless.

Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. This is a gated property, protected with a code, which you will be sent 24 hours before your arrival. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are private outhouses at each campsite. These outhouses are protected with a code, which is sent to you 24 hours before your arrival. Our family has lived and worked this farm since 1912. Originally the fields were used to grow peas (1940's), dairy (1950-1960's), black angus (1970-1980's), hogs & dairy replacement heifers (1990's), fresh culinary herbs for the grocery stores (last 20 years). Every year the location you are camping on floods and holds at least 3 feet of water, hence we only offer seasonal camping. The property has held events from town picnics in the 1930's, hoedowns in the 70's and a traveling circus in the 1980's. It is perfectly located 1 minute to Duvall and 25 minutes to Redmond. Learn more about this land: This 4th generation grass valley floor at sea level includes views of Mt. Baker & Rainer. Surrounded by retired culinary herb fields and planted cow corn to the west. Summer includes herds of heifers ranging the north. Your spot is minutes to amenities in "Old" town Duvall and swimming holes on the Snoqualmie River.  There are many culvert crossings between #4 & #5 for a fun walk around and a tall grass path near #1 & #2 to get lost in.

Kodama is a 45-acre regenerative farm located in the beautiful Beaver Valley of Chimacum, WA. We use organic, permaculture-based techniques to provide fresh food for our local community. Kodama Farm also raises Nigerian Dwarf goats and tends to a tropical geodesic greenhouse where we grow citrus and other tropical fruit. Kodama is also protected farm land forever! Working with the Jefferson Land Trust and the North Olympic Salmon Coalition, we have conserved over 20 acres of riparian habitat and will be working to transform this land back into it's more natural state by planting thousands of native trees, shrubs, and re-meandering the section of salmon-bearing Chimacum creek that runs through our land. Stay at Kodama Farm right next to a few of our Nigerian Dwarf goats! Explore our little regenerative farm and flower gardens, walk through our tropical geodesic dome greenhouse, and enjoy the gorgeous valley views. We are located 6 miles south of "downtown" Chimacum which is the home to the Chimacum Corner Farmstand (the best natural foods/organic grocery store in the world), and Finnriver Farm and Cidery (a lovely family-friendly place!). Our farm is a convenient spot to launch off of for your Olympic National Park adventure! There are some insanely beautiful hikes nearby and we are about 2 1/2 hours away from the coast. We are right off the main highway which means you will unfortunately hear some car noise mixed in with the birds and goats, but bring some musical instruments and you won't notice a thing! Our campsite is a grassy patch down in the valley nestled under a large spruce tree next to a goat pasture. If our male goat is in that pasture, you may get occasional goaty smells, but that is just part of the farm life :) We have a picnic table, chairs, fire pit, electrical outlets, and a porta-potty available a short walk away for campers to use. Your campsite is the only one on the property. You may see us farmers going about our daily tasks, but we will make sure you have your privacy.

Local places to hike include Wallace Falls, Sunset Falls, Lake Serene, Bridal Veil Falls trail ( literally 5 minutes away from us), or maybe you like rock climbing, white water rafting, kayaking or fishing. All are available if you drive to Index; located just minutes away. Located at the very end of a private community area (you will need the code) , this place offers a very peaceful setting, including the rushing and relaxing sound of the waterfall and the occasional whistle of a train. Approximately 55 miles east of Seattle and 25 miles west of Steven's Pass. We welcome, tents and camper vans, small to medium groups of campers.

We are a working permaculture farm community that thrives on diversity, beauty, health, and resilience. We have created a conscious farm and forest ecosystem to host people, friends, family, and biodiversity. It also encompasses a homestead we operate towards productivity, resource abundance, water harvesting, social capital, and craftsmanship. You may find us here - havnhill.org We manage our landscapes and gardens for aesthetics, supreme health, smart design elements, ease of use, and maximum function. Tiny house building is our newest long-term endeavor. There are many tiny homes on the property Nursery cultivation is another element we are excited about and committed to. Hosting gatherings and ceremonies is another priority for our collective community. We have high work ethics and aspirations and aim to create an epic scene for all to enjoy. Update: In the past we have had a lot of projects happening, including construction based ones. We have incurred some bad reviews and unsatisfied customers as a result. We have now completed everything and the camping experience will be without interruption or trouble. New locations and systems are online to ensure you have a great experience.
