Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. You can definitely get your hike on and work up an appetite. Our sites are unique as each one is a different layout from the other. Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

The property is approximately 40 acres. It is a mixture of forest, bogs, a couple of creeks, and open grass areas. We are a tree farm at the moment. However, we are diligently working towards farming flowers, vegetables, and herbs that may be purchased. We have trails throughout the farm with one that leads to state land. You can definitely get your hike on and work up an appetite. Our sites are unique as each one is a different layout from the other. They are hand-cut into the forest so you will be tucked away from others, but you will have an opportunity to meet others if you so choose, when we fire up the large community campfire. We are four-legged family member friendly with the stipulation that your animal family member not be too terribly talkative and loud. Also, it is imperative that your animal family member be restrained when hiking on all parts of the farm. While at your site, you may allow them to be unrestrained as long as they stay on your site only. We are a NON-SMOKING facility. We do not allow firecrackers ever. We have a tree farm we steward and firecrackers are a fire risk. So please no firecrackers on the property.

I have stayed at this HipCamp in the past and liked it so much I decided to come back. The sites themselves offer the basics: table, chairs, fire pit, tent spot. But the best parts of this campground are the outdoor kitchens, outdoor game area, and all of the wooden gnomes to find. I would come back here for another stay!

A pretty campsite in a great location. All utilities worked as expected; electrical, sewer, water. Quiet and private enough for us. (For reference that means we did not use our shades on our extensive trailer windows nor was sound ever an issue.) Particulary when compared to a standard campground or even worse, a standard RV park. We would love to return.

Really cool space. I stayed in camp 0. While folks with mobility issues may struggle a bit with being up hill, I didn't find it to be an issue at all and the cheaper price meant I could stay longer. That being said, all the sites looked great. The kitchen was so nice for breakfast and to cook up the mushrooms I foraged nearby. Eventually the shower curtain will need to be changed but that hot shower in a cold night was amazing. Super close to so many things. I'll definitely be coming back.

Weekend Trip to Shangri La Push

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we had placed Shangri LaPush on our favorites list a while ago and decided it was finally time to go! This place did not disappoint! Dale was a wonderful host and very welcoming! The bathroom was clean and warm in the chilly weather, and our camp site was clean and spacious for our setup. We loved that it was dog friendly (we travel with our fur pups) and equipped with a doggy poop trash can. We used the water from the well spigot a lot and even the kids had no problem getting the water for our camp. We saw some beautiful stars in the night sky and enjoyed the view of all the gorgeous trees. We did hear some road noise but it wasn't bad and it honestly did not take away from our experience whatsoever. Very good location close to Forks, the beaches, and some quick convenience stores. The whole family agreed we will be coming back to make more great memories here!

Having stayed a week, a full hookup site was really nice. There are homes around but you'd never know it. Being an introvert and a nature nerd, I hated to leave. The property is absolutely stunning. I did my very best to leave it as I found it. Please do the same! I'll never forget my experience here.
