The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! The Rainier Retreat is .25 acres in Paradise Estates at the base of Paradise of Mount Rainier in Ashford, WA. -The Rainier Retreat is less than 5 miles from the entrance of Paradise. -Horseback riding is available at E Z Times Horse Rides in Elbe just a 15 minute drive. -Enjoy live music and ice cream at The Rainier Basecamp Bar and Grill, just a quick 5 minute drive (check their Facebook for current hours). -If you are in to off-roading, ATV, dirt bikes, quads, shooting then visit Elbe Hills, just 13 minutes away. -Many hiking trails are available throughout, come see all the beauty of Mount Rainier and the Nisqually River. -Lake Holiday and Big Creek are just a few minute walk away. Enjoy the playground, fishing, or jumping off the dock in the summer. The Rainier Retreat has a hookup for power with a 30 AMP and a hose for water to your camping trailer, or a spout if you would prefer to tent camp. It also has an outhouse on the property that is cleaned weekly. The property is fenced on three sides to give you privacy from neighbors. You are allowed to have a contained bon fire (please check for local burn bans) and there is a wood picnic table and chairs for your usage. Dogs are welcome! This 1950s picker's cabin is located in Naches Heights among orchards and vineyards. Cowiche Canyon and hiking trails adjacent. Close to White Pass and the Tieton, Naches and Yakima rivers. The cabin is part of our local agricultural history. It was built by my grandfather to house migrant workers during apple picking season and that is how it was used until the late 1980s. It is not fancy, but it is cozy. Filled with books from local authors (Raymond Carver, Justice William O'Douglas, etc) and on local topics including tribal and labor history. Goats, alpacas, chickens on site. Free range cats. Wineries next door. Brewery closeby. Close to town but peaceful and quiet. Host is a bioregional herbalist and can offer advice for seasonal foraging options. You are likely to see us working in the shop and on the grounds. We will also do our best to give you your privacy. Composting toilet, refrigerator, cold potable water sink available outdoors.

This is the old historic wagon road to Mount Rainier Park and is home to many old homesteads from the late 1800's and early 1900. It’s a very pretty drive in the fall when the colors are changing and the local elk are bugling! Or even better when the snow falls and the cross country skiing season starts or snow shoes!

This place is glamping at its absolute best. It has everything you need and more, yet you feel at one with nature. My wife and I stayed for one night with the idea of shutting away from technology for the weekend and boy did it deliver. We ended up enjoying the view and just talking all night while listening to the rain. If you need a break from the real world, this is 100% the place to go. A huge thank you to the owner.

This place is awesome! Dawson has done an amazing job with creating the space. It has everything you could need! You can really tell a lot of thought has gone into the place and a lot of work has been involved. We had the best time and were so cozy together. We were lucky to have rain over night and it was so peaceful listening to the rain on the roof as we fell asleep. The directions provided made it very easy to find and a couple of wagons and a lantern are available to help you get your things out to the cabin. As we came in November, we didn’t get the opportunity to use the outdoor space. But we still braved using the shower and it’s worth it, so toasty and incredible views! Inside is cozy and comfortable. The kitchenette has everything you could need. That bed though! So comfy, as someone who deals with chronic pain, I really appreciate how comfortable the bed is! It was really nice to get off grid a little and put our phones away for the night. We had such a good time we are definitely looking to come back again next year in the summer hopefully! If you get the chance to stay here, do it!

We had a really nice time. The space was bigger inside than I had expected. USB-ready outlets were handy, and the little plug-in faux wood stove kept us warm and created a nice ambiance. My favorite thing about the structure is the large triangular window providing a beautiful view into the forest understory out back. Thank you!
