2 nights at Simple Roots Ranch

We really enjoyed Sharon’s whimsical Potting Shed with its cosy interior and all the yummy fresh berries and vegetables that the garden offers! There were so many little nooks and cranny everywhere to enjoy some romantic time. The doggos, Gala and Bodhi, were also perfect hosts, checking up on us. Can’t wait to be back in the different seasons to enjoy the garden!

1 night at Camp MoxyJo's

Joanna’s place was so amazing! We loved the whole vibe and the camper was so unique! It even has a cute little bunk for kids with a back door for them to crawl in and out of. The goats, campfires, shelters and communal spaces made for a really fun time and we made new friends. We can’t wait to camp there again!!!

Camp Moxy Jo's was perfect for my vintage loving heart! The camper was so cute and ammenities were perfect. Hot shower, and restrooms were clean. Amenities had every perfect touch imaginable. And its so close to tacoma and olympia. A perfect place to stay.

This was a lovely, relaxing spot and Khohay and Jenel were super friendly and accommodating. The space felt like a little community hub if you wanted to participate (Khohay and Jenel were out grilling with some friends and seemed down to chat) but also a place where you could easily have privacy if that's what you're looking for. I highly recommend it!

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Jenel and Khohay's property - spent one night in the Sweetheart Cabin. We loved spending time with the animals, picking cherries, and relaxing on the deck listening to birdsong. Our hosts greeted us, showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The cabin was comfy, cozy and well set-up, and the outhouse was clean and very convenient to the cabin. We really appreciated the communal kitchen and bathroom space, had an amazing send-off breakfast of fresh farm eggs and espresso. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Weekend Trip to Camp MoxyJo's

Upon arriving, we met Jo, the operator and owner! She is so helpful, fully engaged, and kind. The property is quite big with so many fun and creative touches. Like the hand paint wall, little fruit garden, a tiki room, an outdoor living room/kitchen, and The Pit Stop which is an outdoor kitchette, self help station, and on the back side has two bathrooms- one complete with a walk in shower. The bathrooms and spaces outside of your camper is shared among other campers. We rented the family camper- The Coastal for our family of 5. Two adults, twin 12 yr olds, and our 7 yr old. We brought our tent and sleeping bags for the twins to sleep in outside. Each area has a shelter over it to keep elements off of you. Each area also has an outdoor seating area and tables. I'm glad we brought the tent, bc it gave us the extended space we needed. There was also electricity and running water inside the camper. Jo also has tons of bedding, soaps, & towels for you! Jo was very kind to allow my boys to invade her garage that had so many arts and crafts. Each of my kids said besides the goats, their favorite thing was the paint wall and the calligraphy garage! The only cons were the neighbors dog barking throughout the day, but thats not something that is Jo's fault. We did come during 4th of July, so surrounding neighbors were shooting off fireworks well after midnight.

2 nights at The Khohay Farm

Jenel and Knohay were warm and gracious hosts. Their land is beautiful and the love they put into it is tangible. We loved our campsite tucked away by the creek, and having extra amenities of running water, kitchen and shower was a plus. Their hiking recommendations were spot on, we enjoyed visiting a nearby state park and the foothill path. Highly recommend to any looking for a peaceful getaway in nature, and thank you so much Jenel and Khohay for sharing your space with us!

Second time staying in Green Bean and loved it, the bed in this camper is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The camp is well kept and the string lights gives it a nice ambiance. I love that they have 2 firepits too, great for roasting smores.

1 night at Simple Roots Ranch

A+++. Our stay at the Potting Shed was beyond delightful. The lovely room had a comfortable bed and a view of the gardens. The outdoor kitchen had everything a cook could need, and we really loved the logwood countertops,. There were even fresh berries in the refrigerator for us, plus fresh cut garden flowers, lovely soaps and tea cloths, etc. The outside shower room was equally cute with its clawfoot bath (as a shower) and fresh cut lavender and scrub salts. The couple was so kind, making us very feel welcome, even starting the campfire for us and sharing fresh greens from their extensive vegetable gardens. The property is beautiful, I only wish we’d set aside more time to explore the property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Weekend Trip to The Landing At Lake Ploenta

We stayed overnight at this glamping site booked through Hipcamp, and it was the perfect escape. The roomy structured tent on a raised platform was cozy and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like a portable restroom (complete with sink and lighting), a grill, fireplace, and even firewood provided. The lake is less than 50 feet from the tent and full of fish — a great bonus for relaxing or casting a line. It’s just 20 minutes outside of town, pet-friendly, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend for a peaceful couples getaway ✨️

Amazing stay! We took our 2-year-old camping for the first time and couldn't have asked for more thoughtful hosts or a better setting. Both campsite options were peaceful and private, and we particularly loved the local recommendations for good eats/activities, as well as the super cute animals they had on the farm!

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch

The Simple Roots Ranch Potting Shed was very quaint and situated within a lush garden. Both Sharon and Dave were very accommodating to my kids and I during our 2 night stay. We enjoyed fresh berries from the garden, strolled through the wooded trails, and generally enjoyed the well tended grounds. A beautiful stay.

4 nights at The Landing At Lake Ploenta

This is a beautiful piece of property to bring your RV to. Believe they had tent sites as well. Never talked with host and that is fine. Had bunches of walks to the back 40 on the trails that are well marked in the woods. The host has put a lot of effort into making this 60 acres and oasis to go stay at. Never got to fish but the pond (lake) is very nice and am sure with the lilies a plastic worm would have tore up the bass. I do have a couple very small negative comments that would not be a deterrent to stay again at all. The B-1 through B-4 Rv sites were not all the same width. Not knowing this going in, we rented at B-4. With slides out and where we had to park to clear these from obstructions, picnic table, arborvitae, power and water island, our stairs to our door stopped at the base of an arborvitae. Not a big deal like I said, I would stay in this same spot tomorrow if we were in town. Also, it is awesome they have a dump on site, majority on hip camp do not. However, it is on the wrong side of the driveway. The four sites B-1 through B-4 either have to pull out of their site and back around the corner to the dump or pull out with the rv dump on wrong side compared to dump and run multiple lengths of dump hose or pull out of site and do a circle coming back into the rv space to dump. I might be wrong but most if not all rv/campers have the dump on drivers side. Please note that these two last comments are uber picky. I highly recommend!!!!

This place is beautiful, I would definitely book again. I stayed in the heart yurt, the colors are beautiful, and it sounds amazing when it rains. You can tell they put thought into the ambiance of the place. They also have awsome selection of instruments in the community area, and the indoor amd outdoor showers are lovely.

It was such a wonderful stay. The hot tub was perfect, the yurt was clean and cozy with very comfy mattress and pillows and the land was gorgeous. I cannot wait to go back!

Incredible location! This sweet cabin is nestled at the base of Mt. Jupiter, directly between Dosewallips beach and the Olympic national Park. There's lots of gorgeous, mossy maples, shaggy cedars, and elk herds roaming free. The Cabin is easily accessible from the road, and has parking available. There's a secluded fire pit behind the cabin with a seasonal stream running by. Its a relaxing place to hang out for a few days, and/or excellent basecamp to explore the amazing forests, mountains, and beaches nearby. Also, there's lots of great foraging to be done (nettles, mushrooms, and oysters; oh my!) GPS LOCATION: When driving to the cabin, your GPS will tell you that 'your destination is on the left'. This is a lie. The cabin will be on the right. There is a metal gate that is closed with a chain but not locked. CABIN LAYOUT AND SLEEPING AMENITIES: The Cabin is just a little guy; only 16'x20'. There is a kitchen, living room, and dining room area, and the bathroom is a separate room - we call it our 'studio cabin'. We have a fold out couch for which we provide linens, pillows, and a comforter. There is also an inflatable mattress that is a tight squeeze, but can allow for four people to sleep (with a little furniture rearranging). There is a deck that is large enough for a two person tent that would also make a four person camp-out comfortable. All linens and towels are stored in the trunk and the bathroom cabinet. There is a 4' round dining room table with four chairs and a small table on the porch with two more chairs. All the cushions for the chairs are in a cabinet under the table inside. ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, the cabin is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 stairs up to the deck and the bathroom door is only 27" wide. SURROUNDING AREA: There are small trails leading away from the cabin; do not walk down them! They lead to neighboring properties and I cannot guarantee that there won't be neighbors who would be very surprised by a stranger showing up on their land! There are lots of public trails only a few minutes drive in either direction from the property :) STOLEN LAND: This property is on stolen, indigenous land. If you are Coast Salish or Makah, please get in touch with me for a discounted stay.

Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. There is one close to the communal kitchen area, one closer to the field by the barn, and we have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed. -WIFI is available closer to the communal area. A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year. Our cozy trailer is located on our large city property in old town Lake Stevens within a 5 min walk to the lake which boast 5 public parks with paddle boards for rent. We are a 5 minute walk to 3 restaurants and small grocery and a 1 min bike ride to the 30 mile paved centennial trail. We also have frisbee golf park and playground across the street. We are located on the back side of Old town Lake stevens and a 10 minute drive to the Gateway town of the Olympic national forest with Hundreds of hiking trails and a beautiful scenic 3 hour drive that is call Mt. Loop Hwy and goes through the off grid town of Silverton, has access to the gate of the old town of Monte Cristo and drives all the way through on gravel from there to the town of Darington and loops back to us. She is small, clean and very affordable. We have fun loving dogs that love to visit and your dogs are welcome too. We have a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and out door wood burning fire pit for use.
