This is a 10 acre camp of wooded hills. This campsite currently has an rv pad for rent and a featured camp site with a hobbit house. Soon to be more tent sites. There is a firewood stand on site and bundles are only $5! The hobbit house is built back into a hillside and is underground, round doors, and arched ceiling stays true to hobbit architecture. This is a glamping opportunity. Inside the hobbit house there is a full bed for two, with a quality mattress and an adjustable bed frame that has a motor to lift body to sit up or you can raise legs. There is power inside and a small microwave for cooking. 30 feet away is a sink for cleaning and good drinking water. There is a bathroom area a short way down the hill with a flushing toilet and heated shower. Outdoors includes a fire pit, a few small springs and ponds and lots of trails to explore. Your shelter and mattress will be top notch, however this is still a campground and you need to be prepared as a camper. Currently we do not have a refrigerator, bring your own cooler. No silverware, or plates are provided. You can heat things in the microwave or cook over the fire. Bring whatever utensils are needed. Within a couple miles of our location is Lewis River Golf Course, as well as popular water spotd of Merwin Lake Park, and floating the Lewis River. We have a scavenger hunt set up on the trails of our property if you want the challenge of finding our targets as you walk the trails.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay at this amazing property in the Witches Cabin. My daughter and I explored around the property and we had the best time. Dionne is a amazing host that helped us find the location and also came out to make sure we were all good at our campsite later on in the night. I recommend going to this hipcamp any time!

The little A-frame structure was perfect for my needs and stood up well to some pretty blustery weather on my first day. It takes a minute to locate the structure if you arrive in the dark and rain, as I did, but once I was oriented, all was well. Definitely recommend this instead of a tent if you're coming at a time of year when the weather is a bit unpredictable.

We had a big storm come through the night of our stay and the hosts were super hospitable and brought us a backup power bank. The heater blankets on the bed were a great touch too! The Hobbit House was a perfect little getaway for my partner and I with our large dog. We had a fun time walking the trails and doing the scavenger hunt (we got all but 3 of them). Our 2 wheel drive Honda didn't make it all the way up to the house, but we didn't mind the short walk. We ran into Rob on the trails and he was a very friendly host.

1 night at Hobbit House Experience

The Hobbit House was such a beautiful stay, nestled in the side of a hill in a very quiet area. The surroundings were fun to see on the designed scavenger hunt. The neighbour dog is well-trained and left us alone for our stay (we have a reactive dog). The electric fireplace kept us very warm throughout the night. I felt the outhouse was really clean though we didn’t use the shower. The sink right near the Hobbit House was also very convenient!

1 night at Hobbit House Experience

My friends and I had a WONDERFUL time Rob’s Hobbit hideout. My car (two-wheel drive) couldn’t make it halfway up the hill, but we made it work. There’s running water, a toilet and shower down the hill, and the hobbit hole stays warm with the heater. There’s electricity too! The ground is grassy (with some blackberry bramble but nothing where we were walking) and a beautiful view of the opposite hillside. We even had a good clear view of the sky at night! The firepit has a grill over it and I used my cast iron and we made some Chunk steaks and corn. There’s a table to stand around and some tree trunks to sit on. There are also more chairs inside the hobbit hole with another table (and microwave. Rob came up once in our stay to say hi and make sure we were doing okay, otherwise we had our privacy and it was so much fun. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet get away!!

Cydnie and Kim are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The farm and tents are well-maintained, clean, and very kid-friendly, making it perfect for families. This place was the perfect getaway—quiet, peaceful, and right by the river. We stayed in the geodome and loved the cozy wood-burning fireplace. The river was just a short walk away, making it easy to relax by the water. On clear nights, the star views were incredible—some of the best we’ve seen. We also appreciated having different cooking options, whether over the campfire or using the propane stove. The off-grid toilet was simple and convenient to use, and the privacy of the space allowed our dog to roam off leash, which made the trip even better. Weekend Trip to The Lookout at Mayfield Lake

This was the second time we stayed at The Lookout - and it was even better this time. The Spud airstream was fully loaded with everything we needed, including amazing snacks for our day hike. The dome offered amazing views of the lake and was a magical place to see the sun rise and sunset. This is our favorite place to stay when we plan to visit Rainier. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Fern Haus

The Stargazer Bell Tent was a lovely little spot! There was a creek that was easy to get to and just adorable. The campsite itself and the tent were nicely cared for and the people nearby at the other campsite weren't much of an issue (except for leaving the outhouse quite messy, causing us to clean up after them). The outhouse was surprisingly very nice, for an outhouse! You can tell a lot of love goes into this whole spot at Fern Haus. The only tiny complaint I have is that all of the furniture pieces (chairs at the table inside the tent, chairs by the firepit, the picnic table itself, and the chairs by the creek) were cheap, flimsy, unstable, and rickety. I did not feel safe sitting in anything supplied at the campsite. I was glad we brought our own camp chairs! But other than that, we had a great time! Comfy bed, too! Thanks for the adventure!

Weekend Trip to Hobbit House Experience

Rob was a friendly host, and the hobbit house itself was very private and secluded. It was everything I was looking for in a relaxing weekend away. It’s listed in the description, but without 4WD you’ll have to park a short walk away from the cabin. The bathhouse is also just a short walk away and is very close to the RV sites at the bottom of the hill, which can lead to some dog/people run-ins (which was not an issue). Overall, the hobbit house was an amazing experience for myself, my partner, and our dog.
