Riverfront Glamping &amp; Camping

This place was the perfect getaway—quiet, peaceful, and right by the river. We stayed in the geodome and loved the cozy wood-burning fireplace. The river was just a short walk away, making it easy to relax by the water. On clear nights, the star views were incredible—some of the best we’ve seen. We also appreciated having different cooking options, whether over the campfire or using the propane stove. The off-grid toilet was simple and convenient to use, and the privacy of the space allowed our dog to roam off leash, which made the trip even better. A wonderful spot for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature in comfort!

Best Weekend Ever

We had the whole area to ourselves, and it was the perfect weekend to get away and decompress. This site provided everything and more, from the creature comforts of the dome, to the beautiful river and the night skies. I’m feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Beautiful piece of property. Loved playing on the river with the family. Read a few reviews that were concerned with privacy of the camp sites, even with a few other groups there we were able to set up with plenty of distance from the others. Make sure to read all the directions and have a decent AWF or 4WD. We were able to make it no problem with our Subaru.

Picturesque camping with style!

My wife and I had a fantastic time camping in the Ohm Dome! We stayed mid-week in late August, and practically had the entire area to ourselves. The site, and property, are filled with gorgeous oak trees, a fun garden, and the soothing sound of the river. Our dog, Newman, enjoyed exploring the area and playing fetch. We were provided a nice battery which powered our plug-in air mattress as well as powering lights and devices. We also had access to a near-private river beach (after a decent walk). Definitely want to stay here again!

This is such a special spot! We chose this cabin to host a small bachelorette party with delicious food, beautiful nature, and grounding rituals. It was the perfect environment for this—the cabin was cozy, clean, private, beautifully decorated, and well-stocked with linens and cooking implements. We loved having tea and coffee on the spacious porch and we enjoyed walking to the scenic Kalama River for a swim. Morgan was a welcoming and responsive host who provided quick assistance when needed. Highly recommend for a lush and peaceful getaway!

Beautiful camp that we had all to ourselves! The description says there are 5 secluded campsites, however we only saw 2 large fields and set up our camp at "family camp," as there didn't seem to be any individual secluded tent sites. My dog had a wonderful time off leash and playing in the river. I really liked that the camping areas were grass and there was sufficient shade. I'd definitely recommend having a 4/AWD vehicle to get to the camping area.

Private and amazing swimming hole!

This place was so peaceful! Very quiet and remote - we had an entire little swimming beach to ourselves and spent the entire day on the water. Only thing is I wouldn’t plan on sleeping on the bed pictured it’s a little too rickety so we ended up putting the mattress on the floor which worked fine. We did have a little mouse visitor or first night since the dome isn’t compleatly closed in but it made for a funny story! My only complaint is there wasn’t toilet paper in the bathroom our whole visit so thank goodness we brought our own! Overall if you’re looking for a private getaway this place was great! We also loved the wood burning stove inside the dome it made for a very cozy evening.

My family and I really enjoyed our time in the ohm dome. Such a lovely spot and an easy walk to a perfect small sandy beach. The composting toilets were in good shape and we appreciated the water for dishwashing. My nephew had fun building fires and testing out the acoustics! No joke about needing AWD getting in, but that was part of the adventure.

I need to start off by saying that the property is beautiful with a gorgeous swimming hole! Morgan was quick to respond to all of my inquiries. Although, I definitely felt like the advertised "secluded camping" wasn't accurate. There were two open areas (one was suppose to be closed) where many campers were packed into. It felt like festival camping and not camping in the woods. I was hoping for more privacy. If you booked mid-week, that likely won't be an issue but impossible to tell how many other people will show up to camp in the one camping area.

Cozy Riverfront Cedar Cabin

My husand, dog and I had a wonderful weekend camp stay! There was plenty of shaded area to set up surrounded by the forest. Having a camp style flush toilet was amazing to have! Access to the river was easy to find.

What an amazing trip to a magical place! Wow, I can't even say enough about it! Beautiful cabin in the woods, right on the river. It was perfect for a relaxing birthday trip with my favorite people. The host was amazing, and the directions were perfect. We are already looking at other dates to go! Very highly recommend!

Camping with family and a pupper!

My family and I loved this experience. The dome was spacious and clean, there was even a battery pack to run the lights and charge devices. They provided a propane burner and a propane grill, with a full propane tank. The toilets are compostable with wood chips and were clean, with non potable water right next to it for hand washing. There was a short, 5 minute walk, to the river. We had an awesome fire in the fire pit, and they generously provided some wood to get us started. This property is stunning, and there are tons of birds, wildlife, and flowers. My dog was able to be off leash and she had a total blast. We’re already planning our next trip back! I don’t recommend sleeping on the loft bed. It felt a little unsafe for two adults. They did provide mattress pads, which were perfectly fine. Please remember to bring all the drinking water, trash bags, pillows, blankets, and toilet paper. There are no trash cans, pack it in, pack it out.

Would I come back? Absolutely! There is just a bit of information I wish we'd had in advance. The good: a stunning location with access to the Kalama River. Easy to find. Close enough to a Safeway that forgetting something wasn't the end of the world, but still removed from civilization. The art and signage adds character to the facility. The Unexpected: -we have anxious, barky dogs. I strategically picked one of "5 secluded campsites" so they couldn't bother anyone. When we came back from a hike on day 2, we were surprised to find three tents in spitting distance. -the listing advertises potable water. The welcome message says there isn't any. -I don't mind an off-grid toilet. The set up requires carrying a full, five gallon bucket up a set of stairs. Something important for anyone with mobility issues to know. -the two community campfire are the only places campfires are allowed. Again, just not the seclusion we expected. -on arrival day, it was recommended we arrive before dark. Unfortunately, this information came long after we could change our plans.

Firstly, when using the Apple/google map from the Hipcamp link took us to an address that was like 45 minutes away from the actual property, not the hosts fault but everyone should know that you can’t get to wooden bridge road from the Woodland side of Little Kalama River (we were coming up from the south), so just enter the address manually into your preferred map to get to the right place. Secondly, the listing made it sound like there was ample space to choose a private campsite on the property; we did not find this to be the case. By the time we arrived there were already 4 or 5 other groups already set up in “Family Camp” - which was a small clearing without any separation of space. People were just set up around the edge of the clearing. Also this is not the large clearing from the photos with the stage and fire circle, that road was blocked off. We also didn’t see any other areas that we would easily be able to access to camp further from family camp. And given we were losing light and didn’t have service to contact the host we decided to just come home (hungry and car sick kids). Given this was Memorial Day weekend, we were expecting to have other campers around, but not having any distinct site or any separation of space was a no go for us.

My family loved Morgan’s cabin! It was spacious and loaded with fun games, a well equipped kitchen, etc, and the location was just perfect. It was very peaceful and quiet with the sounds of the river in the background. An amazing weekend away for sure, and I would absolutely recommend!
