Looking for more than just a cabin? The King’s Cottage offers an off-grid mountain experience high atop Dow Mountain in Hoodsport, WA. Nestled on 5 private forested acres near Lake Cushman, this remote PNW cabin is perfect for nature lovers, off-grid adventurers, and Bigfoot enthusiasts.
Located just 35-40 minutes from Olympic National Park’s Staircase entrance and 20 minutes from downtown Hoodsport, guests can explore hikes, lakes, and charming local spots—all from a cozy basecamp in the woods.

🌲 Arrival Info

After passing the first locked gate, enjoy a scenic 3-mile dirt and gravel forest road. (4WD helpful in winter but not required.) A steep but manageable second gated driveway leads to private parking for up to 3 vehicles, with overflow parking below.

🛏️ Sleeping Arrangements & Amenities

Main Cabin: Queen bed, cozy couch & chair, indoor fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchenette (stove, cookware, coffee, spices).

Pole Barn: King bed in “The Tree View Room” with forest views, dishwashing area, and outdoor cooking setup.

Bunkhouse: Full bed + twin bunk, toys & books for the kids.

This is a property that has been in our family for over 55 years.

It is at the end of a dead end road which ensures privacy and peace. It is a perfect place to unwind on the well maintained land

while still being able to access the many outdoor activities nearby and explore the cool historic towns of Centralia and Chehalis as well.

2 sites in an open field and 1 site in the trees just 10 minutes from I-5, but a world away from the traffic.&nbsp;Perfect for tent camping and overnight rests in most any&nbsp;vehicle. Views of the Willapa Hills on a well maintained property. Guests are greeted upon arrival. Check in before dark is required.

**New this season: We have transformed an old kennel into a cozy cabin! Sleep in comfort in a queen size bed and enjoy amenities like a cadet wall heater, microwave oven, Keurig coffee maker (with complimentary coffee, sweeteners and cream) and a wine cooler. A tv with an assortment of dvds is available for evening entertainment as well. The pups are welcome to enjoy the cabin and two kennel runs that are accessible from inside the cabin. The cabin opens up to 2 acres of well maintained and fully fenced yard around the main house which is available for dogs to explore. A composting outhouse is just steps from all of the campsites and the cabin. Potable well water and a communal fire pit, with wood provided, are also available.

Coffee Creek Community & Gardens

Coffee Creek is an intentional community and working farm on the north side of Centralia, Washington. While our 11 acres feels very secluded, we are just 3 miles from historic downtown and 10 minutes from the freeway and shopping. An accessible oasis!

There is a park with swimming, fishing and hiking along the Skookumchuck river within a mile of the farm, in addition to the natural beauty found right here at home. We enjoy bird watching, exploring our forest, and relaxing around a fire when we aren't working on the farm. 

Seasonal Strawberries and pastured poultry are our specialties, and we offer a wide variety of veggies and fruits. Farm fresh eggs are almost always available and we have organic meats to purchase and grill.

Riverwoods Golf and RV is located in the coastal community of Raymond, Washington.
 It is on a golf course that is currently being renovated but the driving range is open to use for no charge, however, donations are accepted.
 
Approximately 30 minutes to Pacific Ocean Beaches, where there are lots of beaches to explore.
 The area is filled with scenic views, opportunities to kayak, explore Willapa Hills Trail, local shopping and museums.
 We recommend seeing the works of local artisans at Boondocks Marketplace, Riverside Gallery, and Alder and Co.

Diamond N Ranch

I live on my beautiful property and raise cattle. This is a working cattle ranch. Look and enjoy, but leave the cattle alone please. Your campsite is a very pretty spot on the property. Hope you enjoy it. Look forward to sharing my land with you. Corrals for horses available on property. 

Please remember you must be fully self contained. There are no toilets on the property! Water is available, near by campsites. There is no garbage collected. So please leave with what you brought with you.

Wishkah Blue

Eight years ago I bought this property, cleaned it up and changed an old local 1930s grocery store into my pottery studio. I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. With a dog yard available you will be able to relax and enjoy.

Part meadow part stand of very tall trees, over 70 years old with birds, hummingbirds, deer.  Choose to camp there or in a wheelchair excessable drive next to a 1940 era grocery store that is now my pottery studio. A large bunkhouse is also on site in case of rain, if not rented. Large RVs will park in the front of the property. Tent camping is in the meadow with water and fire circle.  /p&gt;

Unique Bay Front Camping - RV ONLY

We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place.

All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets.

Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away.

We are located in the middle of an outdoor paradise and want others to enjoy all it has to offer.

Capa Campground

Private property along the Quinault River between NFS land and Olympic National Park, adjacent to Colonel Bob Wilderness and just past The Quinault Nation reservation.

Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress.

There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets.

Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice.

 The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room

between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming.

Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site.
