Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, owned and operated by my grandparents in 1946 until my father took over in 1980 adding commercial Outfitting and Guide services by Sawtooth Outfitters. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we have once again opened the gates and are conducting business similar to those of the "Good Ol' Days"! With each new season brings a new opportunity and a small improvement project to continue paving the way into the future of Whistlin' Pine!
The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping.

The Paradise Ranch Camp was very good for our overnight stay. The location is super convenient to visit the North Cascades, so easy to find and to park. AND! It has good Wi-Fi.

Hauntingly serene and remote location in the basalt columned scablands of Eastern Washington on the unrestored portion of a family ranch in the Crab Creek bottoms. Interesting historic barns and structures with cool vintage retired machinery. It’s a new HipCamp and will likely get some improvements, like signage and some tidying of the immediate grounds and perhaps more detail in the listing. There’s only one hookup spot, so if it’s taken, you’ll be dry camping. But the host was amenable to getting some distance from the other guest while I was there. The price is very reasonable. The region has so few camping opportunities, I’m grateful they opened up this gem. BNSF trains run by a couple times an hour 200 yards away, but no crossings for miles, so no whistles.

Great place with a beautiful view of the Valley, highly recommend staying at this location, I will be returning. The gift bag upon arrival was a real treat. Has lots of cool and interesting things to do while visiting including some treats. The fresh fruit right beside the camp spot was another great treat and nice to have. This is an active farm so take that into consideration when booking. Extremely respectful people that work on the farm that respect peoples privacy, very friendly work force. Would highly recommend this location, only 7 minute drive to amenities and beach areas.

Absolutely amazing spot! We're traveling across the country this summer and this was by far one of the best. We work from the road and Starlink worked great here. We have a 26' travel trailer and it fit perfectly. I can't imagine anything much bigger driving down the narrow dirt roads and getting up the little hill to the spot, but if you can get there, you definitely should. We can't wait to come back!

What a unique tent camping site with the best views and you’re in an apple orchard!! We had 4 adults and two kids and were able to set up three tents in the grass!! Host left us a gift upon arrival which was a nice touch!! Site #1 is a gem and will be our go to camping spot next time we come to Lake Chelan 😀

Note for those towing a trailer there is a turn up a gravel hill that could be a problem for larger rigs. But I had it with a 20 ft trailer no problem and I am brand new to towing.

Whistlin Pines was awesome! Tara is so kind and welcoming. Our friend and I booked campsites that were a bit far from each other and she remedied that and we had the perfect setup. Tara also checked in with us midway to make sure that the large group in the cabins weren't being too rowdy/loud for us at night (they weren't!) which was appreciated.
The area itself is super gorgeous and private. Way way better than the state campground. So much room to explore. We loved the beach, and the kids loved paddleboarding. The lake is clean and safe. Even as a lifelong Washingtonian, I was surprised at the amount of wildlife there. Dragonflies, birds, ducks, and many more. So lovely. We will be back!
