Our old growth temperate rain forest homestead begins the wild and uncut wilderness that extends 40 miles to the Canadian boarder and beyond just as far. Before us it was part of Cascadian Farm (the organic food brand which still operates a lovely ice cream, esspresso, and berry stand adjacent to us), and before that it was one of the first farms this deep into the Cascade Range supplying food for the crews building the dams. We offer both a yurt and tree house. You will be on our small farm/homestead that is backed up to the Mount Baker National Forest with undisturbed forest all north all the way to the Canadian border to the north, Baker lake to the north west, and to the North Cascades National park to the North east. The Skagit River flows to the south of us. If you like freezing cold glacier water, we'll provide you with a map where you can walk down to the river to cool off at a safe swimming hole.Guests love staying here "Such a glorious and relaxed stay. The yurt really was a palace, it was so spacious and had many thoughtful amenities. We hiked on the mountain, forded a river and played with Hiland cows, all within walking distance of the yurt. I was worried that it would be cold but we were toasty and were even able to cook full course meals. Terry and Erin were the perfect hosts, responsive and yet non-instrusive. Weekend Trip to North Wind House: Historic Cascadia

Beautiful, fresh, and cozy. The 2 of us felt so welcomed by Reg as soon as we met! He walked us through the property, introduced us to the Cat, explained the essentials, and even offered us a bigger cabin with a loft that happened to be open, which was absolutely a treat. The location was beautiful, nestled in farmlands and facing a mountain, with everything we needed including a hostel-style kitchen and shared bathroom. It was a cool April night but we found our cabin and common spaces to be perfectly warm. Definitely recommend checking this place out and giving Reg some appreciation for the beautiful work he has done with his property and space! We hope to come back again someday. A swim in the Grotto would be epic during the hot summer months ;)

We loved our two nights in the Analog Room. Such a peaceful property with lots of little nooks and nature adventures. The river is beautiful, as is the view from the hill. Reg was very kind and accommodating. Would certainly visit again :)

Arlington is beautiful! The site is well laid out and there was a wagon on site that we used to help bring our things to site 6. It’s early in the season so there was no one else camping there but there’s enough space between the sites that everyone has their own privacy. Will definitely go again once it’s warmer and swim in the creek!

Marvelous time at Reg’s homestead. Moon was bright and blue, stars shining, fire pit was a treat and as warm as the welcome, surrounding area vast and beautiful, Analogue Room was cozy and full of music to listen to. Thank you Reg and all, we shall return!!

We had such a great time staying at this yurt camp! We came with kids and weren’t sure what to expect, but everything was honestly perfect. The beds were super warm and comfy (huge bonus with kids), and the fire kept the whole space cozy at night. We had access to hot water, a clean compost toilet, and everything we needed in the kitchen—pants and utensils. There was a full propane stove, fresh water, and electricity, plus extra blankets, heated blankets, a heater, fan, lights. It was rainy during our stay, but it ended up being the best kind of camping: dry, cozy, and peaceful inside the yurt while still being surrounded by nature. It was super quiet and peaceful the whole time, which made it so relaxing. We forgot our French press and coffee filters (oops), but made it work with paper towels and still managed to enjoy our morning coffee! The urinal we saw in a few of the photos was actually gone, but it worked out better for us without it anyway. The location is also perfect—really close to some amazing state and national parks, so we got to explore, hike, and spend quality time outdoors as a family. Back at the yurt, there were tons of board games, puzzles, and books, which made downtime really fun and chill, especially with the kids. Everything was well maintained, super clean, and just felt really thoughtful. The hosts were great and made sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect mix of rustic and comf

We had a great time staying in the Yurt Palace. My husband and I traveled with four of our children age 12-18 and the Yurt had plenty of space for all of us to eat, sleep and hangout. The property was nice and expansive and was great for some flashlight hide and seek. The rope swing gave our kids hours of entertainment and the treehouse was really cool. The onsite host was very responsive and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. The wood stove kept the Yurt very warm and there were plenty of blankets. We would definitely stay here again!!

This was our second stay, we love this place! So peaceful and beautiful, Andrea is an amazing host,.The sauna is incredible, we had such a lovely family getaway with campfire and tent spot under the trees. It's a special spot for sure. We will be back :)

2 nights at Camp Keyser Forest Camp

My parter, dog, and I had a wonderful time at the micro cabin! There was a good amount of snow on the ground and the cabin is not insulated, but we were able to keep plenty warm and dry using the wood stove. The gas lamp was surprisingly bright, and the gas stovetop also worked great. The bed was super comfortable, also. Steve was a very responsive host and also respected our privacy. The owner’s house can be seen from the cabin, but the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. I feel like this cabin may be more popular in the warmer months, but it’s also sooo charming in the snow.

We arrived after 11pm and Reg still promptly greeted us and gave an informed, helpful tour. He's clearly put SO much work into this whole place, and I'm so bummed we had no time to properly enjoy it!! Our room was cozy, quiet, warm, and only an hour away from Mt Baker. Highly recommend!!

Welcome to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping! Here you will find beautiful and unique places to camp right on the Cascade River, approximately 3 minutes outside of Marblemount, WA. We are right next to the Marblemount Boat Launch and within an easy walk into town if you want to visit the local restaurants or need camping gear. Our property has five tent campsites on the river as well as a 26' glamping dome (previously used for artic research) completely painted with a galaxy of the night sky. A converted antique hay trailer turned tiny house with an 8' ceiling loft with 3-way views of the forest and river, deck, and private "magic spot" on the Cascade River. The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. Fresh, clean drinking water, permanent bathrooms and a private shower are available for all campers. An outdoor (completely private) shower is available for those who book the tiny house. Please note that you must follow any local fire bans. Please check the fire conditions PRIOR to making a campfire. Please note that there are areas where you can get directly to the side of the Cascade River, and the river is swift and dangerous! Camp Keyser is a wooded 5 acre parcel in the mountains, near mountain loop highway - in the center of everything wonderful in the northern cascade mountains. We have one private cabin and 6 campsites. Tent campers will enjoy the lush landscape of a mature forest with sites along the (seasonal) Thirsty Creek. Nearby (3 minute walk), users can contemplate views of Whitehorse Mountain, Jumbo Mountain, Glacier Peak, and Whitechuck Mountain. This part of the Stillaguamish valley and the adjacent Mountain Loop Highway is known for a great selection of hiking trails, at all skill levels. It is perfect hub for all of your outdoor interests. The trailhead for the summit of Whitehorse Mountain is just a mile away, as is Old Mine Road trail (45 minute hike ending in 2 waterfalls). A 15-20 minute walk takes campers to a swimming hole in the cool Stillaguamish river for a dip or a paddle. Even closer is Whitehorse Regional Trail (great for biking, walking and horseback riding) built on the bed of the former BNSF railroad through the North Stillaguamish River Valley, spanning over 27 miles. The nearly level trail meanders through the valley, rewarding visitors with picturesque, landscape views of forests, farmland, streams and rivers, and mountain vistas. Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. In season there is also fishing, snowshoeing, concerts at the blue grass festival grounds, a rodeo, and so much more.

Retreat to relax at Chuckanut Hills Farm and Campground, a 20-acre energy-regenerative, off-grid family farm nestled at the foot of Anderson Mountain and surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. 30 minutes south of Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains, the only finger of the Cascade Mountain Range that reaches all the way to the Salish Sea. This wooded forest is part of the Puget Lowland Forest Eco-Region. These hills were the native home of the Saquantch people, a Salish coast tribe that fished and hunted the mountains surrounding Lake Whatcom. They lived in long lodge homes and were later pushed out by the invading Lummi Tribe. The Lummi Tribe was later pushed out by Western logging companies, and the entire mountainous region was heavily logged for a number of years. Where our farm now rests was once the second of many logging camps built by Ed English, and he cut our gravel farm road in 1900; a railroad ran through the lower part of our property, taking logs from Lake Whatcom down to the little boom town of Seattle. Our intention while being caretakers of this ancestral land is to restore native plants, raise heirloom produce and heritage animals, and provide a restful nature paradise for people looking to spend time in the outdoors.
