Welcome to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping! Here you will find beautiful and unique places to camp right on the Cascade River, approximately 3 minutes outside of Marblemount, WA. We are right next to the Marblemount Boat Launch and within an easy walk into town if you want to visit the local restaurants or need camping gear. Our property has five tent campsites on the river as well as a 26' glamping dome (previously used for artic research) completely painted with a galaxy of the night sky. A converted antique hay trailer turned tiny house with an 8' ceiling loft with 3-way views of the forest and river, deck, and private "magic spot" on the Cascade River.
The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. Fresh, clean drinking water, permanent bathrooms and a private shower are available for all campers. An outdoor (completely private) shower is available for those who book the tiny house.
Please note that you must follow any local fire bans. Please check the fire conditions PRIOR to making a campfire.
Please note that there are areas where you can get directly to the side of the Cascade River, and the river is swift and dangerous! It is not safe for swimming and no safe for unattended children and/or pets.

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit.
The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin.
The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting).
We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town!

The River Resort sits on the Pilchuck River, it's located on a dead end private gravel road. This is one site with two bell tent canvas yurts. One party at a time is all we allow. Yurt #1 is 16 ft. has 1 queen bed a fold out single couch an electric fireplace. Yurt #2 is 16 ft. and has a double bed and same couch and fireplace. There is power for RV close by with additional room for more tents. There is a CLEAN custom made vault restroom for both men/woman. Also, an instant hot water tank for a shower for guest to use. Two picnic table, a covered kitchen area with a water pump, just bring your own water to wash dishes. An above ground fire pit you can cook on. We can also provide a propane tank for $15.00 for 2 nights, grill is free to use.. The listing is for eight people on the property but if you choose to bring additional guest, it will be five dollars per night per guest ages 5 and above up to an additional 8 people for a total of 16 people. We have a camp box that can be rented if you want to camp but do not have typical camping supplies. You can fish from our rivers edge, but you must have a fishing license and know the fishing regulations in order to not be fined.

Weekend Trip to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping
What a cool experience! The Dome was comfortable and unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before. Definitely did not get cold with the thoughtful amenities: space heaters and blankets. There is firewood available for purchase and the bathrooms are a luxury! The only thing I’d be aware of is that you may not have service upon arrival, so you may not be able to contact Zachary thru the app. There is a code to get into the dome that I didn’t have directly, but luckily we were able to figure it out. Overall, I definitely recommend staying in the galaxy dome!

This arctic dome was such a cool find while hiking in the North Cascades! It had snowed on us on a few hikes so we were glad for some warmth. Both the dome and the restrooms were clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. I did have to bring all of my blankets in because I couldn’t figure out the second heater (skill issue)! There are nice campsites down the trail overlooking the river and they’re really cute for groups! I love how close this was to town for snacks, too.

Big Bear Cabin exceeded my expectations and I had a great time. It was well equipped for the size of the cabin, well-maintained by the host and very clean. The kitchen has all the amenities to cook a meal. There's cell reception for calls and text but internet is a bit more spotty. Darrington is also only 5 minutes way with a grocery store, a couple restaurants, and coffee shop.

Big Bear cabin at Camp Hideaway was lovely! Our small family really enjoyed the cabin amenities while being able to spend an entire weekend in nature. The bed was comfy, the kitchen well equipped for breakfast, and the grill very clean for lunch/dinner outside, and after dark was cozy, movie time. The hot water in the shower is quick, but the summer weather made that no problem. Our toddler also enjoyed wandering the extensive river trails on the property and the playground next-door as well. Though that river water is chilly! We would come back next year, perhaps with friends camping in the sites nearby for added fun.

I've stayed at many Hipcamps and Lynn and Bruce have been the best hosts! We absolutely LOVED the site and all the amenities. It was right on the river which was the best part. It was my sister's first time camping with her kids, and everyone had an amazing time. There were so many thoughtful touches from floats to kids painting supplies to string lights to plants around the site. We all fought over the hammock and had to limit time so we could all have a turn! You can tell they take very very good care of the site and the guest experience is important to them. The beds were really comfortable and each of the yurts had such great touches like lamps and fans, and even a drying rack. Really loved our time!
