We have mountain bike trails on the farm as well as a great swimming hole. We have miles of hiking trails that link up to the Beaver Meadow trail network in the Vermont State Forest as well as Morristown Forest trails. Our camp has two full size beds and sleeps four people. Bike the back roads of the area—wooded areas, windy or flat terrain, beautiful views, plenty of spots to rest beside a flowing stream. Or, access the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (93+ miles of non-motorized riding/walking on a converted and maintained railway bed).
FISHING/HUNTING
In the mountains we have streams, brooks, and rivers. There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed.
CANOE, KAYAK, TUBE
Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains.
MAPLE SYRUP/SUGARBUSH
Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home!
WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS
Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys!

Please be prepared to provide your own camping toilet and pack out your trash. If you bring your dog(s), please clean up after them and have "control" as the dirt road is fully in view of the sites. (ATVs (on the trail) and a few vehicles do use the road.)

The property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am.
So that means Sundays are not available or evenings.
The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and coffee maker.
We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well!
Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.

The site is located on a lovely mountain brook in Huntington. The small 8' x 8' cabin includes a queen bed with a mattress protector (you provide your own linens, blankets, and pillows), a small wood stove, and a bedside table. The large windows overlook the falls, and you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the waterfalls and brook. There are drawers for storage under the bed.
The site is accessed by a gravel driveway off a Class 4 road, and you can park close to the site. In winter, when there is snow on the ground, the Class 4 road isn’t plowed past the bridge, so you’ll need to walk in—about 50 yards from the parking area. Firewood is provided for the wood stove.
The site is near our home (about 100 meters away through the woods) but is relatively private. It’s within a short drive or bike ride to some of the best mountain biking and hiking (Camel’s Hump, Mount Abe) and cross-country skiing (Sleepy Hollow, Camel’s Hump Nordic, Catamount Trail) in Vermont.
We are 15 minutes from Richmond and Hinesburg, 20 minutes from Mad River Glen, and just a half hour from Burlington. The site does get cell reception, but the cabin has no electricity or other facilities, so all waste must be packed out. We provide a bucket commode, but please bring your own trash bags to pack out all waste.

We have a dirt driveway and while the parking area terrain is mostly flat, it may be a little unsteady for folks with gait issues. Both our road and driveway may become quite muddy especially during “mud season”, generally in the spring.

Our property is SMOKE FREE - no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. This includes Marijuana, vaping and edibles. Illegal drug use is prohibited at all times.
Currently, we cannot accommodate pets. Thank you for your understanding.
Hosting parties or events is not permitted at any time. There may not be any unregistered guests on the property at any time without prior approval of the host.

We live in the log home nearby the Maple Rock Hollow Cabin. We have three friendly dogs; Kai, Morgan and Gracie.
Pond:
Please do not attempt to enter or swim in the pond or walk on it when it appears to be frozen. Do feel free to enjoy the bench near the pond while taking in the peaceful mountainside location.
Wild Animals:
Please note that we live in nature. Our property is home to a variety of wild animals, including, but not limited to deer, turkey, fox, coyote and bear. Please do not approach any wild animals on the property or attempt to feed them. Please enjoy the wildlife from a safe distance.

This 120-acre property boasts 3 swimming ponds, a wood-fired sauna, a lovely creek, and miles of hiking and biking trails connecting directly to Rochester's network of Ridgeline mountain biking trails and the National Forest. The Hunter Cabin or Creek Cabin are excellent choices for a tranquil nature retreat. These one-bedroom cabins offer a unique stay with minimalistic, quaint furnishings. Both kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, stove-top, and cooking utensils. These spaces also offer outdoor amenities including an outdoor shower and outhouse.
Dogs are welcome and must be leashed or under voice command at all times. A pet fee of $50 per pet for any length of stay is required. Sorry, but no cats allowed due to allergy concerns. There are free-range chickens on the property.
All walking trails are available to guests and are marked. Please avoid areas around other buildings on Sky Hollow to allow all guests their privacy. All barns and sheds are also private.
The Village of Rochester features great eateries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a bakery, a lovely public library, art gallery, antique store, a great playground at the elementary school, swimming holes, yoga studio, and more. It is within driving distance of larger towns like Rutland and Killington, Middlebury, Waitsfield, and Warren, and West Lebanon NH for day trips.
Public transportation is a 20+ minute drive away - a vehicle is necessary (4-wheel drive and snow tires are required in the winter months). Parking for 1-2 vehicles is available.
The owner has golden retriever (Kodak) - he is friendly and (usually!) well-behaved but does bark and run to greet you, so please drive slowly and don't be alarmed! We also have 1 cat and several friendly horses who occasionally graze in view of the cabins. Please be aware of electrified fencing (especially with small children!). Maple syrup and eggs are offered for sale when available. Please consider that you may or may not have cell service during your stay - AT&T has good coverage, but Verizon is spotty... there is a nice rock (Lion King Rock) on the mountaintop where it works well! Check coverage maps for other carriers.
While all of our spaces have high-speed WiFi, incredible views, shared access to the sauna, swimming pond, and trails; Sky Hollow Farm has the ability to offer a variety of experiences.

(We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home!
WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS
Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys!

The small 8' x 8' cabin includes a queen bed with a mattress protector (you provide your own linens, blankets, and pillows), a small wood stove, and a bedside table. The large windows overlook the falls, and you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the waterfalls and brook. There are drawers for storage under the bed.
The site is accessed by a gravel driveway off a Class 4 road, and you can park close to the site. In winter, when there is snow on the ground, the Class 4 road isn’t plowed past the bridge, so you’ll need to walk in—about 50 yards from the parking area. Firewood is provided for the wood stove.
The site is near our home (about 100 meters away through the woods) but is relatively private. It’s within a short drive or bike ride to some of the best mountain biking and hiking (Camel’s Hump, Mount Abe) and cross-country skiing (Sleepy Hollow, Camel’s Hump Nordic, Catamount Trail) in Vermont.
We are 15 minutes from Richmond and Hinesburg, 20 minutes from Mad River Glen, and just a half hour from Burlington. The site does get cell reception, but the cabin has no electricity or other facilities, so all waste must be packed out. We provide a bucket commode, but please bring your own trash bags to pack out all waste.

Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont, Sky Hollow Farm has a rich history spanning from an 1800s sheep farm to its transformation into a summer camp, and now our beautiful homestead where we keep pigs, horses, chickens, and a lush vegetable garden. This 120-acre property boasts 3 swimming ponds, a wood-fired sauna, a lovely creek, and miles of hiking and biking trails connecting directly to Rochester's network of Ridgeline mountain biking trails and the National Forest. Not to mention, Sky Hollow is minutes from Killington, Sugarbush, and Mad River Glen for world-renowned skiing and snowboarding.
The Hunter Cabin or Creek Cabin are excellent choices for a tranquil nature retreat. These one-bedroom cabins offer a unique stay with minimalistic, quaint furnishings. Both kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, stove-top, and cooking utensils. These spaces also offer outdoor amenities including an outdoor shower and outhouse.
Dogs are welcome and must be leashed or under voice command at all times. A pet fee of $50 per pet for any length of stay is required. Sorry, but no cats allowed due to allergy concerns. There are free-range chickens on the property.
All walking trails are available to guests and are marked. Please avoid areas around other buildings on Sky Hollow to allow all guests their privacy. All barns and sheds are also private.
The Village of Rochester features great eateries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a bakery, a lovely public library, art gallery, antique store, a great playground at the elementary school, swimming holes, yoga studio, and more. It is within driving distance of larger towns like Rutland and Killington, Middlebury, Waitsfield, and Warren, and West Lebanon NH for day trips.
Public transportation is a 20+ minute drive away - a vehicle is necessary (4-wheel drive and snow tires are required in the winter months). Parking for 1-2 vehicles is available.
The owner has golden retriever (Kodak) - he is friendly and (usually!) well-behaved but does bark and run to greet you, so please drive slowly and don't be alarmed! We also have 1 cat and several friendly horses who occasionally graze in view of the cabins. Please be aware of electrified fencing (especially with small children!). Maple syrup and eggs are offered for sale when available. Please consider that you may or may not have cell service during your stay - AT&T has good coverage, but Verizon is spotty... there is a nice rock (Lion King Rock) on the mountaintop where it works well! Check coverage maps for other carriers.
While all of our spaces have high-speed WiFi, incredible views, shared access to the sauna, swimming pond, and trails; Sky Hollow Farm has the ability to offer a variety of experiences.

GREENHOPE FARM is a small organic homestead on 26 pristine acres of fields woods a large swimming/kayaking pond and adjacent state park wilderness mountain trails. We adjoin Wheeler Mnt protected wilderness and easy access to Mnt Pisgah and Mnt Hor . We are a mile from famous Lake Willoughby in the town of Westmore Vermont

The farmhouse ( where I live) is available for any emergencies that might come up. We support our guests in all ways. There is WiFi at themain house and outside near by. The town of Barton is 10 minutes away with all amenities Willoughby Lake North beach is 2 miles away
There are many hiking and biking trails adjacent to our property. Great eating spots nearby too in Westmore Barton and Glover.
The cabin is off grid and you must bring water or replenish it at the house

We stayed here while mountain biking the Heart of the Greens loop on the Velomont trail. It was the perfect spot. The stars were amazing, sunrise was fantastic and the descent in the morning was great. Matt was responsive and recommended some great trails. I want to back already.

This was my second stay at the Zen Cabin. I just love the peace that surrounds the whole property. The cabin is very comfortable and there's a nice propane stove to keep it warm. I can't say enough about how good the well water is. For me, this is the perfect place to disconnect with the chaos of the world and connect with nature. Beautiful!

Bring food, clothes, bedding, fuel (if you don’t want to cook only on wood), power packs to charge devices, headlamps are always good, and an exploring soul. The mountains will mold you.

We stayed at the Maple Rock Hallow Cabin during fall leaf foliage. The host Kathy was great! The cabin was easy to find, cozy and had all of the amenities we were looking for. The cabin is about 45 minutes to Stowe, which is where we wanted to explore. We did not have great cell service in the area, but we expected that. The cabin had streaming services on the TV. It was a perfect stay and we 100% recommend!

Thank you to the private owner and steward of this incredible land. Feeling very grateful they have so generously opened this property to the public and have invited strangers to stay in and use their spaces. Matthew the steward, does a great job on the trail system and maintaining Shreks.
We (2 adults) spent 3 nights with our 2 (almost 3) year old. The hike up is easy and straightforward. Our toddler made the trek to and from the car many times without assistance. The climb up is gradual thanks to rollers, berms and switchbacks. The green and blue trails are very doable with a shotgun bike seat. The hike up with packs and a toddler took us about 35/40 minutes. The hike down about 25 minutes. This was much faster when we were carrying our toddler.
The cabin has everything you need. Which is a great reminder of how little we actually need. We had enough water provided by the Matthew, wood to warm us through 3 cold and windy nights and enough battery lights that we rarely used our headlamps. We played with rocks, colored, watched the ruby crowned kinglets and juncos frolic in the wildflowers, enjoyed the provided games and books and watched the moon and milkyway rise. We hiked and biked. We cooked on the potbelly but also used our own stove as it's faster but you certainly could do all your cooking on the potbelly. The bottom bunk will fit two zlite pads sides by side. The view is stunning. A truly special place.

1 night at Ryegate Away Cabins
I had a great stay at Ryegate. The cabin was warm and homey, a nice break from camping when the rain and cold arrived. Jessica was welcoming, communicative and responsive. She provided good information about the stay and was kind enough to let me use the shower in the farmhouse, which was much appreciated. The cabin really has all you need... shelter, a cozy bed, a microwave, fridge, and coffee station. Sitting on the front porch with coffee overlooking the river and the mountain tree line is a wonderful way to spend a peaceful morning! The cabin is decorated very cute, which is a nice bonus. Note: You need to be up for a bit of outdoor life ... like using an outhouse and washing dishes in a sink outside. It isn't primitive but it is glamping.
