3 nights at Vermont Rustic Retreat
Kathleen and John’s cabin is a treasure. It’s exactly as cozy and beautiful as the pictures suggest, and well stocked with the essentials for a comfortable stay. I spent 4 days in December there during consistent snow fall and high winds and never suffered for it. There was ample wood for the stove and fresh water. It was an ideal setting for my trip.
And beyond all that, the hosts were extremely thoughtful and caring, even going so far to help me unstuck my car from the unforgiving vermont snowscape.
I can’t recommend it enough. 10/10

2 nights at Vermont Rustic Retreat
The view is beautiful! We were lucky to have arrived after a few inches of snow had fallen and it stayed on the trees the whole time we were there-it was absolutely gorgeous! We saw deer cross the road, heard owls and coyotes. Trails at the end of the road. As it states the cabin is small but Kathleen made excellent use of the space and 2 adults in there was just fine. Very cozy, more than enough wood to keep the woodstove going and have campfires. Everything you need is already provided. Was cloudy when we were there but on a clear night it would be a fantastic place to stargaze. Kathleen was a wonderful hostess. Very accommodating, very responsive and just a sweetheart all around.

We loved staying at Kathleen’s place! The cabin is very private, feels completely safe, and the view is fantastic. Everything was very clean and nicely organized, and the minute you arrive you have everything you need. Even though the weather was cold, we stayed cozy and warm thanks to the wood stove, which was surprisingly efficient. The kindling and firewood were fully stocked as well, making the stay easy and comfortable. A wonderful experience overall! Thank you:)

Weekend Trip to Secluded Glamping in the Woods
Our first glamping experience was wonderful. Sally’s place was a well-equipped, spacious site in a very private, quiet & lovely wooded setting.
Sally was very responsive and especially helpful in providing extra support for us to prepare for an especially chilly night during our stay!
We recommend this site and appreciated the beautiful, rural VT setting to get there.

3 nights at Zen Cabin
This was my second stay at the Zen Cabin. I just love the peace that surrounds the whole property. The cabin is very comfortable and there's a nice propane stove to keep it warm. I can't say enough about how good the well water is. For me, this is the perfect place to disconnect with the chaos of the world and connect with nature. Beautiful!

It was such a beautiful and peaceful time! Susan was very communicative and responsive. Helga (the dog) is such a major sweetheart. The best part of the weekend here was definitely the farm tour. I really enjoyed hearing process of how the whole farm has come to be!

Staying at Kathleen’s cabin was exactly the place we needed to unwind and enjoy Vermont at its fullest. The cabin has the most amazing view on the valley. It’s really well equipped and has everything you need.
Kathleen was super communicative and even helped us find the cabin in the dark (we missed the sign). We stayed there with our dachshund who loved running around and feeling free outside of the city!

We had a great experience staying at BonnieDoon Manor. The tent and site are very nice. Everything was clean, and the bathroom had no smell and was very comfortable to use.

We enjoyed our northern VT glamping experience in this cozy rustic cabin. I took advantage of the appliances and made coffee each morning and kept some local cabot cheese and salami in the fridge for snacking between adventures. The dogs loved the porch and grounds. We did have an animal having itself a time one night under the cabin which woke me up (just in case you have a noise sensitive pup) but the second night it was quiet! We enjoyed a local hike and hill farmstead brewery during our stay. Close to local ponds for paddling too if that’s your preference. I didn’t have great service (verizon) and had to go to town for some parts of the day to respond to messages/plan next travels (downloading maps etc) so be mindful of that if you’re staying here! Overall, it was a very cozy experience and I’d definitely recommend it.

Peaceful evening. Cabin equipped with the things we needed. Rustic but in a good way. Found plenty of firewood around to use for the night. Bed was comfy. Nice family and very welcoming. Getty (food and store) up the road was worth a stop too.

Very nice place to camp. Large open area, big maple trees, picnic table and a very nice lean-to with hammock hooks.

Such a lovely spot, felt secluded and calm but also was close to many fun things (farmers market, Cabot cheese festival, bread and puppet)! Great amenities and the cabin was perfect.

Weekend Trip to Zen Cabin
We had a great stay at the Zen Cabin. The cute little cabin was just as advertised. Mitchell welcomed us and made sure we were all set. The temperature was forecasted to dip in to the 30s and he made sure the heater was working so we would be comfortable. It was a nice sleep after a fun wedding down the road. My wife and I enjoyed a crisp morning overlooking the field while we drank our coffee and looked at the cows who came to say hi. We only had a short stay, but it was clear that Mitchell and the Zen Cabin are a great little find in Northern Vermont.

Such a treat staying at Bonnie Doon. We loved hearing the owls and coyotes at night and seeing so many frogs, newts, katydids, and deer tracks. The bed was sooo comfortable and cooking on the griddle top was such a breeze. We enjoyed our stay here!

We had an amazing stay at Socks Family Farm! You get the best of Vermont here; the people and location are incredible and the environment is peaceful, all while being centrally located to some great spots. The site was secluded enough to feel comfortable in your own space with close access to water. You really feel like you have your own slice of heaven during your stay. Susan was a phenomenal host and made us feel so welcomed. Definitely opt for the free farm tour to learn more about what they do!

My husband and I had an amazing stay! The land was beautiful and our dog had a blast playing ball! The bugs were not bad when we were there, only got a few bites over 4 days. It was super quiet and secluded, we highly recommend staying at Maple Hollow and we hope to be back soon!
