Our beef herd, comprised of Black and Red Angus, Hereford and Belted Galways has fluxuated as the market and hay supplies demand. We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks.
This property has seen years of agriculture as a sheep farm, dairy farm and a fence company.

We are a working Alpaca and Beef farm in Central Vermont. Our cottage is available in the spring, summer and fall to Airbnb guests. Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. Hiking, xc-skiing (bring your own) and The Vast (Snowmobile)trails are also nearby. We have amazing western views of the Adirondack mountains, and are 20 minutes from Middlebury, Vergennes; 1 hour from Burlington and Rutland and 45min from Middlebury Snowbowl Ski Area.

There is a parking spot available to park across from Deer Road. Take the very short walk to the yurt.
Near our site is Green Mountain National Forest to explore. Blueberry Lake is just a short walk down our hill. Blueberry Lake is widely used year round for swimming, ice fishing, seasonal fishing, kayaking and canoeing.
Long Trail nearby
Bike trails/x country ski trails are connected right to our homestead. Continue on the trail and access some of the best mountain biking trails and snow biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking.
Sugarbush Resort is a 10 minute drive and is one of the best ski mountains in the area!
If you are looking for gym and shower facilities, you can stop into the Sugarbush Resort, just a short driving distance, for a day pass fee.

Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A newer, larger tent has been set up for 2025 .
Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes.

Camping is provided by and in support of the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a 501 3C non-profit company. Located in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest, the Outdoor Center provides access to the Blueberry Hill network of trails, the Vermont Long Trail, The Catamount Trail, and the Moosalamoo National Forest Trails.
All campsites are located at the edge of the field behind the Outdoor Center. We have hot/cold outdoor showers as well as restrooms in the Outdoor Center. For more information, visit our website at blueberryhilltrails dot com.
While there is an internet connection near the buildings, it may not be available at your site. Cell service is limited at best. You can drive your car right up to your site. Sites are a good distance apart. Site 1 and the Bed in the Shed are the most private. Site two is quite open and supports trailers.
For your campfire, you can forage for wood or request "bundles" (about a dozen hunks of wood) by the morning of your arrival, and we'll have it delivered to your site. Please note, wood from outside Vermont is not permitted.
Step outside your tent and you'll find a wealth of hiking, biking, and running trails. As stewards of these trails, your camping fees help support the efforts of this non-profit comany. Nearby, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Trail maps are provided upon arrival, and you can also view them online on our webpage at Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center.
The Outdoor Center offers snacks and cold drinks for purchase, including our inn-made chocolate chip cookies, chips, and cold drinks. Also available on site, at the Inn across the road on mornings we are serving, may be a full breakfast, pastries, packed lunch, and coffee. Super cool very well curated space. The wood stove kept the pace plenty warm and the complimentary tea was great. Definitely heed the warnings about driving up the road in the winter without winter tires though.

This was my second stay at the Zen Cabin. I just love the peace that surrounds the whole property. The cabin is very comfortable and there's a nice propane stove to keep it warm. I can't say enough about how good the well water is. For me, this is the perfect place to disconnect with the chaos of the world and connect with nature. Beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful raw nature! The steep walk up is well worth it! Tent is spacious and comfortable. Take the trip to the hollow, not an easy hike but the reward is amazing! The zip line was so much fun, we now need one at home lol. We even enjoyed the occasional sound of the trains going by below. Can't wait to return in the spring!!

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp
My husband and I LOVED our two-night stay in the bed-in-the-shed this past weekend. We've been up to Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center to do some gravel riding before and knew what to expect as far as amenities go. We were super pleased to have such a lovely, quiet and peaceful place to rest our heads. Shari was kind in her welcome and super communicative before and throughout our stay. We'll be making this a regular camping spot when we're in Vermont for sure!

Weekend Trip to Zen Cabin
We had a great stay at the Zen Cabin. The cute little cabin was just as advertised. Mitchell welcomed us and made sure we were all set. The temperature was forecasted to dip in to the 30s and he made sure the heater was working so we would be comfortable. It was a nice sleep after a fun wedding down the road. My wife and I enjoyed a crisp morning overlooking the field while we drank our coffee and looked at the cows who came to say hi. We only had a short stay, but it was clear that Mitchell and the Zen Cabin are a great little find in Northern Vermont.

The setting is utterly peaceful and bucolic. The tent is roomy, cool, and dry; the main bed is super comfortable! Definitely take your time and explore the property: the many tiers of waterfalls, canyons, lush fauna and wildlife are all extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful. Even in early September when the water was low, the falls were breathtaking. I cannot say enough about The Hollow at Dynamite Falls. I'll definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp
This is a gorgeous spot, situated on a private piece of land, surrounded by old apple trees, and wildflowers. The shed has everything you need, a comfortable bed and a roof over your head. Added extras of wood, and coffee in the morning were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend,the bed in the shed. It is part of a compound with other accommodation options, including an Inn and camping. We had a delicious dinner at the Inn one evening. Very easy to find, and central to lots of interesting walks, rivers, and waterfalls.

this was such a lovely spot! the bed was cozy, a nice wooden futon, and the cabin was spacious enough for all our extra gear to live inside overnight. the composting toilet is nice and clean, the parking is right beside the cabin and the firepit was perfectly placed to watch the sunset from our hammocks. Mitchell was a kind and gracious host and we felt very well taken care of, their dog was sweet and unobtrusive and knew enough to leave our dogs alone. the area of craftsbury is adorable, make sure you grab some firewood from the local spot on the way in.

Chapin and his family’s property was LOVELY, I can’t even describe what a special place it was. There was so much to explore right at the campsite that we hardly had to leave, but it was still a good jumping off point for other areas as well. The walk to the campsite in general isn’t bad, but definitely be aware that the walk up to where the tent is was very steep uphill, so just keep that in mind when booking if you have any sort of mobility issues. Otherwise, the bed was comfy, the brook and swimming holes were delightful, the area was beautiful, and it was great to meet Chapin, his friends and family who were staying at their farmhouse across the brook for the night, and their sweet dog.
