Come see Lake Shaftsbury State Park! This 200 year old farm is at the top of a dead end road on 150 acres. It sits in a region of Bennington County formerly called Healing Springs Vermont. The springs that flow off of West Mountain come down through the farm and across Route 7 where they feed the picturesque state park!
Best drinking water, anywhere to the left of the chimney at the white house.
Arrive at our 150 acre property at the top of this dead-end road.. (Please stay left all the way up to the top...the road becomes our driveway).. Step out onto this 200-year-old farm at your own private site all of which are several acres each minimum.. Walk to streams ponds and Lake Shaftsbury State Park.

3 nights at Fall Water Farm
This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

I needed a last minute getaway in peace and quiet, and this spot delivered. Easy directions to my campsite, lots of room to spread out, and it felt very private. No other campers this weekend, but if there were I do not believe we would ever meet. And that is perfect :)
Gorgeous sunrise and view! Forever wild field all around and lots of wildlife. Especially enjoyed the morning visit to the compost pit, what an experience! Added to my favorite spots!

Awesome view from the campsite, having some chairs provided was nice too. My Sedan scraped the trail a bit while getting to the campsite so make sure you have ground clearance and you will be all set.

We found Mike’s place a few years back and have been coming back every chance we get. The spot is so peaceful and the view is fantastic. The whole field that you get to look out over lights up with fireflies too if you’re lucky. Mike is super friendly too. We’ll keep coming back for as long as he is renting the site :)

A slice of heaven with an incredible view in a beautiful private clearing overlooking the Green Mountain Range! Mike was the perfect host...supplying a refreshing outdoor shower, firewood on site, picnic table and fire pit. Everything you could ask for and more! He was the ultimate host. Cannot wait to return to this beautiful spot!!

Very nice! Lovely views from all campsites! The proximity of a composting toilet next to the campsite is a welcome accommodation. Having a water source near the campsite is a wonderful feature. We had a nice stay. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful sights and sounds of nature abound. Mike is attentive and quick to respond. I definitely recommend Timbertrail Farm!

We had a fantastic stay at Mike’s campsite! He was very responsive and helpful with all our questions, which made everything smooth from the start. The site was clean, well maintained, and surprisingly private—we had neighbors, but couldn’t see or hear them at all. The views were stunning, and having a shower on-site was such a nice bonus after long days out exploring.
One of the things I loved most was the location. It was just a short drive to Lake Shaftsbury State Park, which is dog-friendly and perfect for a relaxing day by the water. We also enjoyed spending time in the nearby towns—there’s plenty to do, great spots to eat, and cute shops to wander through. All around a peaceful and fun getaway. Highly recommend!

I originally booked this spot last-minute after my intended campsite was closed—and I’m so glad I did. Mike met me when I arrived, gave clear directions, showed me where to find firewood, and explained that the spring water on-site was not only drinkable but once known as the “healing stream.” I drove up a dirt road and it opened into a breathtaking, secluded site surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views. The stars at night were unreal, and in the morning, the mist over the mountain made me feel like I had woken up inside a dream. Mike was kind, helpful, and gave me complete privacy. Incredible experience. It was truly one of the most magical places I’ve ever camped.
