Much of the camping here is still a work in progress! So for now, a very private economical choice for campers! The central building has indoor lodging available and the side bathroom with indoor toilet / washer / dryer may be used by campers as well. A new outdoor shower is 95% complete and usable but swimwear is required because we have not finished filling in the slots between the wood fence panels. Leann's land is in a remote, beautiful part of Hill Country --we were the only people camping on the property so it was extra quiet and peaceful. My 9 year old roamed the property with his trusty map and felt like a true explorer. The campground is close to Garner State Park and about a half hour from Lost Maples.

Weekend Trip to Indian Blanket Ranch - Utopia Texas

This ranch is in an absolutely beautiful location. We visited over the Halloween weekend with the native fall grasses in full beauty. At night we sat, had some wine, looked at the stars, counted satellites as they passed over and listened to the coyotes off in the distance. This is a great location to slow down and just get away.

Wilson was the best host! Drove me and my son out to the main campsite while pointing out each stop along the way including the swimming hole, 2 bar hill incase we need service and told us we could explore anything else. Found a really cool spot on a ridge to camp for the night with amazing views of the sunset and sunrise. Don’t hesitate to book with Wilson he is very accommodating and was cool to hear he’s a 5th generation rancher and the family has been there since the 1800’s! We will definitely be back!

Really nice campsite. Clean and easy accessibility to the river. The river crossing was closed and there was no mention of that during booking. It was a bit concerning when we reached the passing and had no cell signal. We had to walk in the river and realize it was ankle deep and passed along side the closed bridge with the car and drove through the river water. Would recommend. Lots of fun and nice to relax in the river.

A cool little spot with river access. The park hosts were prompt in answering questions and hospitable in offering every amenity they had available. It's not far from Garner SP or Lost Maples SP. I would recommend to download a map before heading that way, reception is a bit spotty for phone service. I'd also recommend to take a grate or skewers if planning to cook over the fire rings. All and all, a quiet and peaceful experience. I would definitely stay there again.
