The property borders a small creek and has abundant trees, and wildlife. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)!

The property borders a small creek and has abundant trees, and wildlife. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)!
Guests are required to communicate estimated time of arrival well in advance. When arriving, make sure to meet Aaron or a designate at the red gate before entering further into the property. If tent camping, please do not bring glass containers, also you must pack out all garbage and waste. Inquire ahead of time to see if firewood is available to be gathered on site, or if you will need to bring your own. The tall pine trees afforded space to an abundant diversity of avian life. There are some nice little trails through the property that offer a great overview of East Texas ecology. Rebecca’s don’t Greta was a really nice bonus, super sweet pup.

Within 30-45 min of college station, this was the perfect weekend getaway! Site 22 was spacious and had good hammocking trees! It was very close to the restroom with was a great bonus. We spent the day in the little boats on the lake, and hiking the beautiful trails. Julie was very helpful and kind and brought us firewood along with a visit from the cutest dog! Lots of room to park our cars, the trees blocked the wind very nicely. You can’t go wrong with any site at 5D Ranch!! Already planning another trip sometime soon!

I think I found a hidden gem for the price of a piece of coal. This camp ground thought of it all. Clean, convenient, and quiet. I was able to relax and reorganize in the midst of my trip. I will definitely mark this as a place to stop again. Tip: book through hip camp for the deal.
The address takes you across the street onto a narrow road. Watch for their sign.

Quietness has a new definition at 5D Ranch! Miles of forest-filled trails with serine camping possibilities everywhere! Julie’s deer is so tame it’s like a family pet. Weather doesn’t matter nearly as much as at other campsites, due to the more firmly-packed sandy access roads.
It rates 5-Stars!

This is a great primitive camping spot. A lot of room to choose your own campsite, but there are some kind of designated spots that are cleared out. The host is responsive and no nonsense. We've been back several times and will do so again!
