Lovely spot to camp! My daughters thoroughly enjoyed the goats and all the play equipment. Monique was incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. It was our first hipcamp and I'm pleased to say I'm encouraged to use the platform again. My only "complaint" (and it's not even that big) was the lack of hot water at the toilet/shower area. We were only there for one night, so not a huge deal at all, but if we had been there longer and needed showers, it would have been challenging. Overall though, I'd definitely stay here again!

Great Life Ranch is a wonderful place. Monique was very welcoming and helpful. She even let me set up my tent in the garage because a severe thunderstorm came through in the night. And the little goats are incredibly cute!

I arrived late and Monique gladly welcomed me and showed me my spot for the night. Clean toilet and shower, safe a beautiful place to stay, can't ask for much more! Which I would've spent more time there.

Monique and John were fantastic hosts! Their beautiful property and gracious hospitality were just what I needed—so tranquil and accommodating!
Of course, the highlight for me was the goats! They are the absolute cutest!!!!

Get away without going far!
We had a great weekend here - the property is just outside of Houston, but still far enough to feel like a getaway for us! We were enchanted by the goats and enjoyed the easy access to water / bathrooms / electricity to make camping w kids *that* much easier. The location was a great hub for us to enjoy local parks and some patio time at a nearby brewery …. Before heading back here to pet the baby goats again!! ❤️

Delightful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It fit our needs perfectly...was looking for a place close to home to take the grandkids for a night. Between the goats, dogs, swing set and tetherball pole, they were plenty entertained. There was also room for them to kick the soccer ball around. To top the evening off we built a fire and had smores. Thank you Great Life Ranch Tomball..

Gorgeous place!
This was a last minute trip for us and we were so pleased that we came to Great Life Ranch for our first time camping trip. Monique and Farmer John were the best! Great, easy going hosts that made the whole experience lasting and memorable. And let’s not forget the chicken eggs! Best breakfast ever!!! Thanks to Monique’s mom! Absolutely beautiful and well maintained ranch. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Terrific stay
Monique and Farmer John are terrific hosts. It was our first time camping . They made us feel safe and extremely comfortable. Our 4 year old daughter absolutely loved the goats , chickens and playground. The farm is extremely clean with extremely clean bathrooms which is a huge plus. The hosts are super nice and they know how to give their guests space. We highly recommend this ranch for those want to try out camping with clean bathrooms. We will be back soon!!!

Goat yoga paradise!
A quick but pleasant stop as we drove across Texas! We camped under the shop roof and it saved us from the afternoon sun. Even had a surprise with a working toilet and sink that was installed 3 days earlier!

Tranquil setting close to town
Gorgeous setting close to Houston! The site was level/concrete and even covered! Keep in mind...though it's close to Houston, it is still in the country so be aware and respectful of nature. The turns are a little tight for giant rigs. (Ours is small, so it was perfect.) It was so peaceful and the hosts were lovely. We hope to be back...I would love to try goat yoga!!

what a Charming Place!
We loved this hipcamp. We have stayed at quite a few of them and this one was so comfortable, charming, great hosts, great environment. It was clean, had the best bathroom we’ve ever had at a hipcamp, the goats of course are awesome and if we had children with us the playground and chickens would’ve been quite the addition as well. Seriously. The best. Thank you Monique and John!

Easy Getaway Not Far Away
What a wonderful oasis within an easy drive of Houston! Despite the rain, my first time campers had a wonderful time because Monique and John were so lovely, and the goats were just precious! Will definitely be back!

Easy, quick night away from Houston
This was a cute spot to set up a couple tents and a screen and movie projector and enjoy a night outside away from the city, but not prohibitively far. The site is a large side yard behind the house. It’s not wooded or anything. But there are baby goats! And the host offered to hold a goats and yoga session in the morning if we wanted. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Secluded and relax time by the fire
What a great property! We had an amazing time relaxing by the fire. They have a fire ring and tables with chairs which was perfect because we forgot to bring our own! We got to pet and even feed the baby goats (adorable) and took a nature walk by the bulls. It was great to get out of the city and enjoy Mother Nature. Our host was so nice, helpful and accommodating. So much better than expected! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away.

Great Intro to Camping Trip
We had so much fun at Great Life Ranch! My kids had never been camping and my son has autism so we didn't know how it would go. This was a great intro to camping trip with having a bathroom and it not being too far from civilization. My kids loved the hay ride, goats, and seeing the horned cows on the trail.

Even better than expected
Absolutely charming and easy. I’m a single mom out three small kids and some camping experience. I was happy about the private bathroom facilities to make my life easier, but what I didn’t expect was the beautifully lit up tree that made my kids comfortable enough to enjoy the full camp space without me constantly at their side. There was a table for comfortable meals and delicious food close by to grab and bring back since I’d only planned on a campfire breakfast of pancakes. Monique was quick to respond and a great help, but let us be and gave us our space. Getting to meet the goats and chickens were a highlight for my kids (and me) and we’ll never get over goat yoga.
The place was clean, easy to manage, and I felt safe and welcome. We cannot wait to go back. It’s our new camp escape.

Great escape
Great Life Ranch. It’s what you need. I enjoyed a perfect solo camp during the week. If you’re looking for a family getaway, they have EVERYTHING for that too.
The grounds are beautiful. Outdoor restroom and sink are a luxury. Shady tent sights. Fire pit. Trails and wildlife. Goats. Swings. Giant oaks. Slides. Donkeys braying.
Monique is an amazing host. She knows what you need before you do. Ask her about the herd and area history.

Perfect Rustic setup with goats!
Recently stayed here with my son and brother in law. The set up was great- rustic with chickens and goats and fantastic hosts that were extremely accommodating and helpful! Also had an outdoor restroom/hand washing station. Weather was perfect and location was great for a quick getaway without the miles to get there. We will be back!

Super location, host and experience
Great location and vibe for a little weekend get away. The grounds were well kept and all was as described in the post.
The hosts were amazingly helpful and kind. My son got to play with the goats and go for a tractor ride as well. Super chill and easy first step into camping.
