Forest View RV Parking is located on a hard-packed gravel road with no outlet. The property sits in a pine forest with some oaks and includes a two-acre lake that’s great for swimming. Bastrop and Buescher State Parks are nearby and easily accessible via back roads. Both Downtown Bastrop and Downtown Smithville are just a ten-minute drive away. The space was extremely clean and well maintained. The barn was spacious and had stylish elements throughout. There were horses that loved apples fed to them! It was a very charming piece of land, and the Host was extremely hospitable. I stayed (4) nights and have nothing but positive things to say. I will definitely be going back, and plan to stay longer next time.

Weekend Trip to Secluded camp minutes from Austin

Very close to Austin (and to civilization) which was convenient but still had a very secluded and country vibe. Russell was very communicative throughout preparations for my visit to make sure every one of my needs was met. During our stay he connected a giant box fanto keep us cool, hooked up our grill so we could eat, and brought water to put out our fire without being asked. Excellent and accomodating host. Place has more amenities than advertised. We were surprised to find a trampoline, tug-o-war, a speaker setup in the barn even. Wonderful spot that was very pretty to enjoy at night when the lights came on. Will be returning for another visit someday.

First thing first, since this is about getaway, this place is not too far from the city, but definitely gets you out from the city. In the middle of nature, you can see deers, lizards, ducks, and lot more. The place is very cute and my wife and I loved being here for 2 nights. The host is very caring, she lives on the site and she helped us with anything she could do to make our stay feel better. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway not too far from Austin, I am planning to come back with my daughter next time.

I stayed with my fiancée and pup at the Vintage Airstream Retreat and everything was perfect! The property and camper are decorated beautifully, and Landers was super accommodating, even bringing over tools to help get a campfire started. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Landers!

Perfect spot for a little Austin getaway. We brought our dog along and found 3 places nearby that had music, dog parks, and beer! Close to Lake Travis for a day getaway to the lake. We did Jessica Hollis Park. The airstream had everything you could think of. Even a little speaker to take with us to the lake! The bed was comfy and it fit myself and my 6ft partner. Landers was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning for another weekend there.

We enjoyed the afternoon on the property cruising around in the paddle boat and our evening was fantastic with the sunset views, bonfire, hot tub and a restful night of sleep in the yurt. Rachel and family could not have been nicer - I hope you enjoy their little piece of paradise as much as we did.

I loved my experience at Rachel’s place! There is a queen size bed in the yurt that 2 of my friends stayed in & then my husband & I set up a tent right next to it. Super short walk from the yurt to parking which was great because we brought stuff to fry a whole turkey. We all brought our dogs and it was a super chill time. Enjoyed grilling, sitting by the bonfire, & hanging in the hot tub for the night!
