Weekend Trip to Happy Hideaway - Near COTA

The property was gorgeous! We loved everything from the wildflowers and river to the little extra touches like the chopped firewood and string lights throughout! My son had fun fishing in the kayak and my other two kids loved paddling around the San Marcos! They have almost everything from home that you would need to have an enjoyable time! We look forward to coming back to this property later in the fall!!!

Our tent at GLAT was everything we hoped for and more! It was so cute, comfortable and had everything we needed. The only complaint is that the people next to us were playing music the entire time and set up their volleyball net right in front of our tent and view.

2 nights at Happy Hideaway - Near COTA

I really loved the feel of everything. However, when I got to the tent I saw a lot of things I didn't see within the pictures. A lot of the things were changed out. It was beautiful, but it also just wasn't what we expected. The bed was comfortable, it came with blankets, had two lamps on each bed. There is an ac & heater to use, but the ac came in through the zipper windows. We had to stuff a bag into the hole so no bugs would get in. The rack to hang clothes n such on was short, so you couldn't even hang anything. Also, I wasn't expecting the furnace to be removed. I should've looked into it more, but I really was excited for that part of the tent. The toilets are eco friendly, so you can't flush the toilet with toilet paper and dispose into a toilet (bring a water bottle to flush!). There were also a lot of holes in the bathroom/shower area. This made it extremely cold trying to shower, + if someone came over to go to the bathroom, while you were showering they could see you, if they wanted to. This place is nice, but there's some kinks that need a little fix. Overall, decent experience. <3

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR

On The River Camping was such a perfect get away for my spouse and our closest friends. Despite lots of rain on Friday evening, the site dried out extremely well and made for an excellent weekend spot to just hang out, fish, kayak, and laze around while the kids were at their grandparents house! In addition to the awesome spot, Bridget went above and beyond on so many occasions. When our truck got stuck near by (not on her property), Bridget offered to inlist family to assist. She then was super flexible because of the rain and offered so many accommodations since Friday night got a little wonky for us! Finally, Hipcamp made a few billing errors, and Bridget spent a good amount of time emailing with customer service, while staying in contact with me the whole time, to make it right and make sure we didnt get overcharged (by Hipcamp) for the stay! 11/10 would recommend!

Great location to overnight. Nice hot shower and free to choose any spot on the property. Close to supermarket to stock up.

5 nights at Texas Honey Bee Farm

Tanya's property is a great home base for spending the day (and evening) hanging out in Austin, which is what we were in Austin for. Close enough for traveling into town, but far enough away that you feel like your a bit beyond the suburbs. You also have easy access to locations west of Austin. Our lot was level and plenty big for our truck and teardrop trailer and the bathroom was easily accessible and clean (and outdoor shower, which we did not use). Tanya was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Tanya's property for your trip to or through Austin.

Weekend Trip to Stunning Dome Retreat w/Hot Tub

This was our first time using HipCamp, and what an incredible experience! Zvi and Thunder (the resident longhorn on site) were extremely responsive hosts and made sure we had everything that we needed for the duration of our stay. The geodesic dome was beautifully decorated with a sophisticated touch, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location was private and peaceful—a perfect getaway from the city. We loved how secluded it felt despite being a short 20 minute drive from Bastrop. One of our favorite parts was waking up to a beautiful sunrise, with the option to open the curtains and let the morning light pour in. At night, the views of the sky were absolutely stunning—perfect for stargazing and soaking in the beauty of the quiet countryside. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and recharge.

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR

Lovely, peaceful campsite near the Colorado River, with plenty of room to spread out. We got lucky—we were the only ones camping so had the place to ourselves all weekend. Bridget was a fantastic and welcoming host, immediately responding to all of our questions and requests. Electric hookup at site and communal bathhouse and dish washing area were great amenities. We loved our time here and will definitely return!

2 nights at Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR

This is the perfect country retreat along the Colorado River! We stayed in the fancy river shack and the accommodations were absolutely amazing. The 1st night I used the outdoor grill which was perfect along with a fire pit evening. The host delivered two bundles of firewood immediately upon request at $10 a bundle. The second night was too windy for a fire but it was still great. The River Shack is just a short walk down to the river bank and there are two tent and camping sites close to the shore with their own amenities. All sites are peacefully and perfectly placed to provide a woodsy country private and tranquil get away feel. The River Shack itself is so attractive and the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom are perfect and modern, and can be compartmentalized with sliding doors. Three flat-screen TVs across the jacuzzi room, living room, and bedroom were great, along with a desk area for your laptop with wifi. Last and of course, the jacuzzi room lets you know you are "Glamping" in ultimate style and country grace! I literally watched the morning news with coffee in the jacuzzi! Why not! With nature watching I saw 10 deer total throughout my stay and a Cow! My Lady and family will return one day and get some fishing done!

Private, peaceful and secluded. Thirty nine foot RV with slide out walls. Queen bed and a couch. No other RVs next to you. Just forest. Hot shower, full kitchen, window a/c unit. On very hot afternoons to A/C unit struggles to keep the place cool. If it is 100 outside the A/C unit might only bring it down to 75 in the main area and warmer in the bedroom. At night and in the morning the A/C is strong enough. Learn more about this land: Lost Pines Private RV is located on a gravel dead-end road. We are in a pine forest with some oaks and have a two-acre lake on the property that is good for swimming. Bastrop and Buescher State Parks are nearby and easy to access through back roads. Downtown Bastrop and Downtown Smithville are both a ten-minute drive away.

We are a family of 4 plus a dog with a studio apartment/casita available for short-term rental in our backyard. Casita El Dorado features a full bathroom, couch/murphy bed combo, mini fridge, and kitchenette. Please note that the proximity to the main house doesn't allow for a great deal of privacy unless you are indoors. Guests will have access to our backyard and one off street parking spot. The backyard features several seating areas and a pool that are available to use during your stay. We have a grill, fire pit, and laundry facilities that can be used for an additional fee. While there is a fridge and tiny freezer, Casita El Dorado doesn’t provide cooking appliances. You are welcome to use your own camping stoves/grill outdoors in the fire pit area. The property borders a small creek and has abundant trees, and wildlife. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)! Guests are required to communicate estimated time of arrival well in advance. When arriving, make sure to meet Aaron or a designate at the red gate before entering further into the property. If tent camping, please do not bring glass containers, also you must pack out all garbage and waste. Inquire ahead of time to see if firewood is available to be gathered on site, or if you will need to bring your own. No uninvited guests without 24 hour prior approval, and additional guest fees paid. Also please no more than one dog per site.
