Wildflower Getaway

10 sites ¡ RVs, Tents10 acres ¡ San Marcos, TX
Escape to the Texas hill country and experience the charm of farm life on 10 acres at Wildflower Getaway! Nestled just outside of Austin, in San Marcos, TX, our property offers a unique experience with hiking trails surrounded by nature and friendly farm animals. There is also a cowboy pool with a shade sail. We have goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and more. In September we will have a llama named Oreo Mochi. There is an outhouse for washing hands and a compost toilet. There are water and electric connections only. 50 amp RV connections. If you need 30 amp you will need a converter. You can pitch a tent. There are rock firepits set up around the property and plenty of firewood. Eventually we will be adding an outdoor shower for camping guests. It is 15-18 minutes to downtown San Antonio. About 15 minutes to tube rentals to float the river in San Marcos. The San Marcos outlet malls are a shower trip. An approximate 30 minute trip to Wimberly, TX wineries. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). A tent can be provided upon your request ahead of time. We look forward to hosting you. We want you to create lasting memories by connecting with yourself and loved ones.

If you want to really know what the Robin's Nest experience is like, read the reviews. We Hope to see you soon at your escape in the woods of our Holler. One day won't be enough! Here's what a recent guest said: "A beautiful and magical escape" Wow! There is not one negative mention I can type out about our adventures at the beautiful and magical Robin’s Nest. Myself and my two young daughters were warmly welcomed by Shellie’s most thoughtful design of her secret hideout amongst the oaks. It was a quick drive from a busy day in Austin where the nature and quiet we’re so needed. Shellie has thought of everything for this amazing getaway. We could have gotten away with not bringing a thing. A quaint treehouse, overlooking a pond, nature all around, two more ponds a short stroll away. Our favorite part, the seclusion. An escape from the busyness and chaos of the world. Being able to cook dinner by the fire, hear the bullfrogs croaking and take a soak in the outdoor tub overlooking the evening. Do yourself a favor and invite the day with a grateful heart while showering in the open air shower. Sun rising, view of robins and chickadees while appreciating the whisper of the oaks all around. At Robins Nest we were explorers. We were artist, we were fisherman. We were silly, we were fun. We lived out every child’s dream, including my own inner child. We were storytellers. We were one with nature. We were dreamers. We disconnected and reconnected to ourselves and each other. I highly recommend this getaway and look forward to a visit once again. For those wanting more of a glamping experience, Shellie thought of that too. There’s outlets everywhere imaginable, hot water, ac, blow dryer, fridge and so on." Malory L.

East Austin City RV Spot

2 sites ¡ RVs1 acre ¡ Austin, TX
This RV spot offers the perfect blend of proximity to Austin's vibrant attractions and the comfort of a cozy neighborhood setting. Situated on the side of my house, the 80-foot long spot provides ample space for your RV adventures. The entire lot is securely fenced in, granting guests exclusive access to amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and yard. Enjoy privacy with no neighbors in the back and an 8-foot tall side fence where your RV will be parked. The lot is a city sized lot, less than 1/5 acre, but HipCamp won't let me put in less than 1 acre. While my own RV won't be onsite during your stay, parking towards the back allows for privacy and the extension of awnings. Pictures show other RV's and how they fit. Backing in is recommended, and though my 33-foot long RV fits comfortably, larger rigs or backing a trailer may find maneuvering a bit challenging due to the angle from the street through the front gate. There's plenty of room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV, and both 50amp and 30amp electric hookups are conveniently located on the back side of my house. Water is also accessible from the rear. While live sewer hookup isn't available, I offer convenient dumping options to dump gray/black tanks. Nestled in a charming, gentrifying neighborhood, expect the pleasant hum of city sounds (not overly loud) and glimpses of starlit skies. During your stay, I'll be residing in the house with my sociable dog, Toby. We'll be respectful of your privacy but available for any assistance you may need. Toby loves company, including other dogs, and has even been around cats with proper introductions. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to arrange a booking! Please note, hot tub on the fritz(December update) and trying to figure out the issue! I'd love feedback if this is a make or break amenity for you!
