Weekend Trip to Breathe Deeply

Perfect spot for a little Austin getaway. We brought our dog along and found 3 places nearby that had music, dog parks, and beer! Close to Lake Travis for a day getaway to the lake. We did Jessica Hollis Park. The airstream had everything you could think of. Even a little speaker to take with us to the lake! The bed was comfy and it fit myself and my 6ft partner. Landers was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning for another weekend there.

No frills car camping, highly recommended! John’s land is beautiful and has many sites to choose from with flat places for tents, fire ring, tables and chairs. John is friendly and so are his dogs. He’s done a lot of DIY projects like an outdoor shower, bucket flush toilet, disc golf holes (bring your own discs) and has a few campers, a dump truck and other equipment on site that might not feel like pure nature but it didn’t bother me. If you want a true “pristine natural area” look elsewhere but for weekend car campers it’s a great place. Firewood available on site. 15 mins from downtown.

We had a great experience at Dot’s Spots! Host was so accommodating for our late night arrival and adjusted our booking to a site that wasn’t as impacted by mud after some rainy weather came through. The location was also terrific as it was close to Pedernales Falls State Park and Wimberly, both which we easily explored in a day. It was the perfect first camping trip with our 18 month old! 10/10 would recommend!

This was our first camping trip with 2 kids (age 5 and 2) and I couldn’t recommend this place more. Having a tend set up and ready made our trip focusing on enjoying nature with the littles so easy. Plenty of room inside for a couple sleeping pads so we could all bunk down together. There were several paths that wound through the land which was just enough to make it feel huge for my kids but without them getting too exhausted. The outhouse was also so clean and nice my son said he wished we had one at our house. Thanks for the fantastic memories!

Our campsites are next to a spring feed tributary creek which flows year around feeding into the Blanco River just a few miles away or hillside with amazing views of the river valley. You will enjoy the babbling creek, miles of hiking and biking trails, cooling off in the creek, scenic hilltop views, solitude, bold sunrises and sunsets, and a brilliant night sky. We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park.

This is a quiet neighborhood and wildlife is abundant. You may hear coyotes and a great horned owl at night. There is a honey bee themed gift shop on site that is regularly open Thu-Sat 10-6 that offers tastings and tours. There is a restroom and small sink area connected to store that is open 24 hrs. There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Ask me if you want to know more! It helps me to approve you more quickly if I know how tall/long your RV is. Especially if you are longer than 24 feet. You can text me info. There is a full bath in the Barn and a private hot/cold outdoor shower to use to cool off during the day and has a lovely view of the stars overhead at night. They stay in their pens and we provide food so you can feed them - please do not give them any other food except what is provided. Bonus! Guests can enjoy fresh eggs daily, when available. Located-10 minutes from Canyon Lake -20 minutes from Wimberley, San Marcos and Blanco. Wynona’s is perfectly situated to some of the sweetest towns in Texas! The space We love camping so much we decided to make our own Glamping experience in our backyard! The rental includes your yurt, but you get to use the common space!! In total we have 4 bell tents. Two tents have one queen bed and two have two queen beds. We provide two air mattresses to sleep total 16!! There are AC units in each of the tents to keep cool at night. Please note that the hot tub is only included if all 4 tents are booked. Our common areas include 2 showers, 2 toilets, 1 extra large sink area connected to the bathrooms, 2 grills and 4 large picnic tables, a bar and coffee station, a fire pit, hammocks and a rope swing. This space is perfect for any family celebration, reunion, birthday party, ect! It is tucked away at the bottom of the property so you get the space to yourself. IMPORTANT! There is an additional $25/yurt if you want to use the hot tub during your stay. Guest access When you arrive at our house you will park in our circle driveway and walk through the double green gates down the hill to the glampsite. (To the left past the house) The road is slippery/steep so please use the steps. Backpack recommended for easier up and down! You can roll a cooler down the (steep) road! Other things to note Each of the four bell tents are equipped with an AC unit, beds, heater, pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, electrical outlets, twinkle lights, and a lantern. Light switch to main Edison lights are located on the side table near hot tub outlets.

Just 14 miles to Randolph AFB, and 17 miles to Ft Sam Houston. Great spot for military PCS, TDY, and PIT! We live on site with our 4 children (and a gaggle of animals). We are both Air Force Veterans. After leaving active duty, we traveled the country full time from 2017-2021 in our RV with our kids. We hope to provide a space that our fellow RVers can relax and feel right at home. And for our fellow full time families, also a safe space for kids to run and play, and just be kids!
