Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Joy Moore bought this fixer-upper in 1986 when the oilfield went under, at a youngster in her early twenties and has owned ever since. Lake Somerville is known for the best fishing lake in Texas. Deer run plentiful on the property and will come up close and personal when fed corn. So, stop and pick up a sack or two of deer corn before arrival. The closest city is about a 20 minute drive to Somerville so make sure to have everything you need before camping.
