Weekend Trip to Llama Land Ranch

Our small Girl Scout troop really enjoyed a laid back first time tent camping experience here at Llamaland Ranch. We opted for the pavilion site so we had access to running water, electric outlets, a really nice grill, and a small mini fridge. It was the perfect set up and for an experienced camper like myself it really felt like glamping. Judy and her son were very helpful and friendly. They provided plenty of feed for us to feed the Llamas and we didn't have any issues with them. The llamas were very gentle and curious. They came and went several times during our stay to visit us and other people in the other campsites. It was a beautiful place and I plan to come back out with family and friends in the future!

We had an absolute blast at Llama land! Site 1 was perfect for our littles, we had full access to the llamas but a nice fence to keep kiddos and animals separate. Lots of friendly cats and dogs on property, which the kiddos also loved. The pond was a hit for fishing, bathrooms were as clean as you'd expect for a campsite maybe even cleaner than I expected, and the property was gorgeous. Judy was one of the friendliest and most helpful property owners I've dealt with, and you can tell her and her crew love what they do. We will absolutely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at llama land Ranch. The hosts were unbelievably kind and generous. The llamas were very friendly and the kids enjoyed them as well. The campsites were spaced nicely and well maintained we will be back very very soon. We definitely recommend staying here!

Judy was a very accommodating host. We got in pretty late and she showed us around our campsite. The land was very green and well kept and the trees were massive. The campsites were very well set up very nicely with swings, fire pits, and rocking chairs. The dog and cats roaming around were super friendly. The llamas were pretty cool and they love the food. You have to bribe them with food to get them interact with you though, but they are very chill. The bathroom was very clean and nice and had running water. I wish I could’ve found the creek but I couldn’t find the trail to it. Overall great experience!

If you have reservations with the llamas don't worry. The host is outstanding and you have the option to camp right with the llamas or in one of serveral spots fenced off while still allowing you to feed them if you choose. I stayed at site 5, that had plenty of amenities and space for my camp setup.

We had 20 Girl Scouts tent camp at Llama Land Ranch, and we had such a great time! We had planned to camp by the pond, but we were happily surprised to be placed near the pavilion instead. So we had shelter, electricity, an amazing outdoor kitchen, and a bathroom with running water! The llamas came and slept near us both nights, and we felt like they were watching over us. We also loved feeding them! We can't wait to go back and bring even more Girl Scouts with us. As other reviewers have said, Judy is a wonderful host. I expect I'll be returning to Llama Land Ranch many times.

Nice experience with Lamas. Judy and other gentlemen were patient answering questions about the stay. Could have looked at the weather before going, had multiple times thunderstorms over the night. But that is not related to the camping experience. And also recommendations around places to see around the camping will also be helpful.

We LOVED llama land ranch! It was the perfect getaway from Fort Worth for the weekend. Our campsite was tucked away from the other sites on either side of us so we didn’t feel like we were near others. Judy was so welcoming and responsive. The bathrooms are “NICE NICE NICE” as advertised and pretty cool as they are in a silo. The llamas, pups, and cats around the place were so much fun to be around. It was such a peaceful retreat for the weekend. We will definitely be back! Very family friendly or if you want to keep to yourselves that’s easy too :)

Pastures are mowed three times a year and always look beautiful. There is some terrain that is rough and the land has not been traveled. Bring machetes and a compass (We are not a rescue team). 10.5 acres with 4 camper/rv hook ups on the poperty and lots of off grid options. Heavily treed area. Road leads down to the pasture where there's room for camping next to the pond. We keep well landscaped. Our pond is fully stockedwith catfish, bass and brim. There is also a secluded boat ramp less than a mile from us that connects directly to cedar creek lake. We are also a short 5.4 miles away from the legendary Kemp Calaboose where Bonnie Parker, from the infamous Bonnie and Clyde, was jailed after robbing a local store in Mabank. The car got stuck in the mud while trying to flee, resulting in the theft of three cars and two mules before Bonnie and their accomplice were captured and jailed until Clyde broke them out!! The last 7 acres is a pathway heavily treed on both sides you may explore or ride 4 wheeler golf carts. We have a burn pit with seating that's being turned into a fire pit for bonfires and were happy to build a bonfire when requested! We are continuing to build on the property will soon add a shower and bathroom option not available yet. We do have a 1120 sq ft pavilion that's getting decorative touches now. It has tables/benches and several games. The pavilion itself is also available to rent for events if you're interested. We get wildlife from birds to frongs turtles and deer we do not promote or allow deer hunting on our property. Very beautiful flowers trees garden. Water feature in the making. The neighbors have livestock that visit the fence line daily. They also have fresh eggs for sale upon request. We have a seasonal garden that may be available depending on the time of years. We get lots of wildlife! A group of 12-15 deer visit daily we feedthem like pets, so we choose not to hunt them. We alsohave cranes, hawks, turtles, red billed ducks and several other type of wildlife , as our land backs up to a nature preserve. . We do warn about the occasional snakes, spiders and scorpions as we are in the country. We'll do all we can to accommodate wants and needs to make it the most memorable stay, all you have to do is ask!!!
