The previous owner had plans to turn our property into a 42 site row by row RV Park. Once we saw the beauty of the property, we knew we had to keep it as wild and pristine as possible. On 6.5 acres the perfect number of sites was 18 keeping the large house for short-term rental (coming soon.)

Buck Acres is technically not even an RV park, we just want to share our property with fellow travelers so we added some gravel roads. The only amenities are a Wi-Fi, 50/30/20A plug-ins, a porta-john and water.

"Close to everything, away from it all"

We're in the country but close to city amenities and beautiful Lake Conroe. It's only a few minutes from April Sound and the largest marina on Lake Conroe, 8 minutes to Wal-Mart and Kroger, yet it's peaceful and quiet on our forested property. 

As full-time RV nomads ourselves we know RV park rates are getting crazy, Buck Acres is our attempt to help the community. We've done everything we can to keep rates down. The only amenities we offer are shade, Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and an ADA porta john that is cleaned every week. 

Affordable RV parks shouldn't be sweltering parking lots where you're packed in like sardines! At Buck Acres we have 100' tall hardwoods and pines that have been trimmed up 60' for the safety of you and your rig!

Buck Acres is still under construction and it is a labor of love. All proceeds go immediately back into the park.

B&R Lakeside Cabins & RVs

Lake Livingston is a large 23+ mile lake. We bought the property in 2014 and did upgrades on weekends, love the views, fishing, campfires, and meeting people so we opened the first cabin in April of 2018, now have 5 cabins and 9 rv sites and welcome you to enjoy the lake as much as we do. Every season of the year is a little different and all are wonderful!  We are in nature, and across street from wetlands, yet only 2 miles from city grocery store and restaurants! There are 3 piers, fishing, picnicking, beautiful sunsets, nature watching, small watercraft rentals, guide paid pontoon tours, swimming, bonfires, bbq’s with firewood available on site for purchase if desired.  Use for short term rental retreats, or long term. 

Natura Wellness Retreat

Our property

Just 40 mins from downtown Houston and 20 mins from The Woodlands, Natura Wellness Retreat is a 25-acre wildlife preserve that offers three glamping tents. There is catch-and-release fishing at our stocked pond.(no license required). The retreat has trails for hiking and flat areas to enjoy outdoor yoga. The pergola on the pond offers a place for serene meditation or enjoying a cold beer.

Far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel totally secluded, but within a quick drive to supermarkets, restaurants, and movie theaters. Enjoy the peace of nature in the vicinity of the 4th largest city in America.

Wooded glampground in Plantersville, TX.  Fully furnished glamping canvas bell tents, with premier tents on platforms with electric (and Kuerig coffee pots and coffee!).  Sleep 2 - 10 comfortably, depending on the size tent.  Tents range in size from 10 - 20 feet.  Glamping vintage trailers are available too, and are also fully furnished with electric.  The fully renovated vintage trailers sleep 2-3 people each.  Or bring your own small to mid-size RV, tent, or car/truck/van and pick a cool cleared or primitive site of your choice.  Several new electric 30 Amp hookup sites now available.  Courtyard cabins will be ready and listed soon!  

The camp is surrounded by farms and ranches, wineries offering music options (one is dog friendly!), and is next to a strawberry and pumpkin picking farm with a trophy fishing  (you must reserve and pay for fishing separately with them please...).  Fishing is also available 20 minutes east at Lake Conroe.  

Amenities include a cowboy pool (summertime), courtyard seating and camp fire pit, hot showers, bathrooms (currently port-a-potties), fiber wifi, electric access on office front porch to charge phones, and a potable water/filling station.  

We are in the customer service business, meaning we make it easy to camp (and celebrate!) with our beautiful 4-season canvas glamp tents and glamp vintage trailers.  Just drive up to your tent and get ready to relax.  All tents are fully furnished with made beds and critical supplies, and have picnic tables, chairs around the fire rings, firewood, and charcoal grills.  Our premier platform tents also have electric, A/C and heat, hammocks, Keurig coffee pots, coffee and more!  Vintage trailers have everything you need as well inside and out.  Reservations are available on both Hipcamp and Airbnb.  And be sure to ask about shuttle rides and celebration decorations!

Owners Bob and Dana both grew up moving all over the country, and as adults with a family continued that trend from OH to MN, CA, back to OH and then to TX. (Why not? Life is an adventure!) Red River Valley RV Park

Red River Valley RV Park is family owned and operated. We offer a clean, safe and relaxing stay for our guest. 

Step back in time when camping was a relaxing experience and nature was the main feature. We only have ten spots so noise and traffic are kept to a minimal.  Every spot is twenty feet wide with an additional twenty ft buffer on all sides. 

The length of RV Spots varies, smallest being 35 and most others are sixty ft. also with ample room for hang over.  All spaces are completely full hook up including 30/50 amp plug in with an additional 110 outlet, water and sewer. 

Each spot also has its own  stone fire pit.  Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the pond with fountains and watching the sunset behind the trees. SELF CONTAINED CAMPERS ONLY.

We have a 5 acre homestead/hobby farm that is nestled in the Sam Houston National Forest.  We are off the beaten path with beautiful views, peace and quiet and farm animals!  We have goats, donkeys, rabbits, a miniature cow, a miniature horse, ducks and chickens roaming our property.  We just had a new addition Colt who was born on our property March 12th.  He is our precious little donkey.   

We are a semi primitive camping spot. Come and enjoy getting away from the city without going too far.  Enjoy the beautiful star filled sky.  Feed the animals at 9am and love on them all day. We are on 55 acres in the Sam Houston Forest in Evergreen, Texas. 

We try to keep our camping sites in tree stands to keep the look and feel of pure nature as much as possible. 

Camp sites are assigned by the Camp Host not your site number.  There is a pond on the property. The hike to the pond is a fairly easy trail. There are some trails for riding your bikesThere are many brushy areas for exploring. If you make it to the back of the property (bring your compass), there is a shallow creek year around. Bring your walking sticks, fishing poles and artifical bait, life jackets, canoe, kayak, raft, paddles. Only small fires in fire pits allowed.  No firearms or fireworks are permitted. 

Off-grid primitive camping is available year around.  Costs are $20 per night with your own off-grid camping equipment. Tent setup is on the forest floor. Some sites are well established from use and others are raw nature that will need to be cleared or flattened.  

We grow and regenerate the soil using organic principles so no pesticides or chemicals permitted (You can apply bug spray with deet at your campsite).  City water is available to fill RV water tanks and containers near the Host shed.  Hot water is available in your container upon request.  Port-a-potties and wood chips (2-3 handfuls per use) are provided at each campsite.  There is an open outdoor open (no privacy) shower for public use available at the back of the shed for use when not expecting freezing temperatures (we shut off the water for freezes.

We suggest a mosquito net for outdoor open sleeping. The following items may  make your experience more enjoyable: shower shoes, long sleeves, long pants, a hat, extra socks and close-toed shoes(rubber boots are nice), a rain coat, a compass, and walking sticks. In WINTER months we suggest clean loose fitting night time only socks, warm pajamas, and extra top sheet and blanket, a small foot blanket for inside your bedding, rubber boots, a warm hat and scarf and warm gloves. 

There are trash cans (black) and recycling cans (blue) near the shed and near the pond.  A charcoal grill is available for use at no charge upon request on a first come first serve basis.

Activities included as part of your camping fees include access to pond activities, fishing without a license, hiking and exploring the property.

We built and designed this park for the many construction workers coming to the area, little did we know that travelers, vacationers and just people wanting to get away from the rat race of the city were being drawn to out park. Hidalgo Falls Hideaway

The 13-acre park at Hidalgo Falls is owned by the Texas Rivers Protection Association. It is located on the Brazos River about eight miles from Navasota.TRPA ownership of this property guarantees access to this popular and unique river resource. For whitewater paddlers, it offers a class II rapid with numerous surfing waves, holes, eddy lines and play spots. For flatwater paddlers, it provides a convenient and secure access point for float trips along a very historic stretch of the Brazos as well as a place to learn swiftwater techniques and rescue skills. In the four miles downstream from the rapid archaeologists have unearthed mastodon bones from the riverbank, and the remains of  an early 20th century lock and dam system still loom large in the river. All of this is just upstream from Washington on the Brazos State Park, birthplace of the republic of Texas. Stephen F. Austin is said to have crossed the river often at Hidalgo Falls. It is also said that you could tell if you had a knowledgeable riverboat captain if he could get his boat upstream of the rapid and back down before the river level dropped stranding the boat upriver near Millican or Port Sullivan.The fast moving water and play features of the rapid are rarities in this part of the state. During the year volunteer fire departments in the region use the falls for training firefighters in swiftwater rescue.A 2 mile hike and bike trail are being worked on now and will soon open. Volunteers are always welcome!
