Blue Moon Camping TX

12 sites · RVs, Tents47 acres · Hubbard, TX
Beautiful, secluded campsite, just minutes away from Navarro Mills Lake, this is the perfect campsite for hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating, tubing and any activity the lake has to offer. Our property backs up to The Core of Engineers' property, that has 5,500 acres of public land, https://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/navarro/faq.asp . We have amazing wildlife in the area, deer, birds, squirrels, bobcats, raccoons, and hogs. We keep deer feeders on the property, and you could see the deer just before dark. BRING YOUR BOAT!! (One of the best Catfish & Crappie Lakes in Texas) The access to the lake is less than a 1/2 mile down the road, boat ramp. Fishing, swimming, exploring. You can fish the small pond on the property. Explore the property, In the evening if you’re quiet and from a distance you can probably watch the deer come to the feeders. Bring your mountain bikes, ride the county road. Star gazing at night. There are some targets around the place if you like target shooting. You will need your own guns and ammunition. This activity is at your own risk. Neighboring town, Malone is about 8 miles away. It's quite small but does have a convenience store, with ice, drinks, food, and worms for fishing. There is also a small-town bar with music and food. Hubbard is a nice little town about 15 miles away. It features small cafes, antique shopping, gas and a Sonic. The town of West is much larger and about 30 miles away. West features Czech Bakeries, & old town square shopping. Don’t forget mosquito spray, bedding, and drinking water. There is plenty of dead wood for fire, but you may want something to cut it into smaller pieces. Please don’t go too big or crazy with fire. Conditions can be very dry. Keep the wood burning fireplace in the tent to small fires please. Tents can fit 2 adults comfortably; bring your kids and sleep on floor or bring your own tent to set up for them. children are free no extra charge.

10.5 acres with 4 camper/rv hook ups on the poperty and lots of off grid options. Heavily treed area. Road leads down to the pasture where there's room for camping next to the pond. We keep well landscaped. Our pond is fully stockedwith catfish, bass and brim. There is also a secluded boat ramp less than a mile from us that connects directly to cedar creek lake. We are also a short 5.4 miles away from the legendary Kemp Calaboose where Bonnie Parker, from the infamous Bonnie and Clyde, was jailed after robbing a local store in Mabank. The car got stuck in the mud while trying to flee, resulting in the theft of three cars and two mules before Bonnie and their accomplice were captured and jailed until Clyde broke them out!! The last 7 acres is a pathway heavily treed on both sides you may explore or ride 4 wheeler golf carts. We have a burn pit with seating that's being turned into a fire pit for bonfires and were happy to build a bonfire when requested! We are continuing to build on the property will soon add a shower and bathroom option not available yet. We do have a 1120 sq ft pavilion that's getting decorative touches now. It has tables/benches and several games. The pavilion itself is also available to rent for events if you're interested. We get wildlife from birds to frongs turtles and deer we do not promote or allow deer hunting on our property. Very beautiful flowers trees garden. Water feature in the making. The neighbors have livestock that visit the fence line daily. They also have fresh eggs for sale upon request. We have a seasonal garden that may be available depending on the time of years. We get lots of wildlife! A group of 12-15 deer visit daily we feedthem like pets, so we choose not to hunt them. We alsohave cranes, hawks, turtles, red billed ducks and several other type of wildlife , as our land backs up to a nature preserve. . We do warn about the occasional snakes, spiders and scorpions as we are in the country.
