We enjoyed our stay at the Little Burro again. The sites are clean and well kept and the views were fantastic as usual. We also got to meet a new addition to the resident burro herd. Baby, Dusty is adorable. If you are looking for a great spot to camp, I highly recommend Little Burro.

Weekend Trip to Vista De Las Montañas Terlingua

Had an amazing time! Tiffany was an awesome host! So accommodating! She has one of the best views in the area! Love the whole set up! We are definitely coming back! Can’t wait!

A nice spot! Very dark around the area! Very close to a small convenience store if you forget any essentials! Also close to a VFW if you need to grab some cheap drinks!

Weekend Trip to Jackass Flats Campground

The Little Burro store has all you need for a stop over and our RV spot was good and level. Currently so arid, in a prolonged drought. Jackasses behind the camp. We would stay again if visiting the Big Bend

3 nights at El Cosmico

We stayed here three nights, went down to Terlingua/Big Bend for three nights then didn’t hesitate to stay at El Cosmico again on our way back. We slept in our van in the lot one night and tent camped the other nights. The lounge with wifi was wonderful for getting some work done or just enjoying the complimentary coffee in the morning. The outdoor kitchen came in handy to do some dishes and make tea in the evening. Both the indoor and outdoor bathrooms were clean and much appreciated. Yes, there’s some road noise, but it didn’t hurt our enjoyment of El Cosmico.

El Cosmico is a great option for anyone wanting to stay in Marfa. Self-camping is easy with access to good restrooms and a lovely space to hang out in. They also have great coffee served in the morning! Our only complaint was the noise. It’s near a busy road, very close to a train, lots of barking from dogs, and the people around us were a bit loud. These noises could be minimized if you camp in a spot away from the path and further from the bathrooms though!

Staying on the property was quiet and peaceful. I spent 2 nights and Starlink worked great to work remotely all day. No cell service with Verizon. Jessica was great in providing exact directions to the location and quick to respond with any questions!

This was a fun stop over on our way to Big Bend NP. Easy to find and close to town. Friendly staff.

The solar shower worked great, the site is well landscaped and attractive and we enjoyed the friendly staff and cute store.

Great location and very reasonably priced. Can be accessed with a 2wd vehicle, but please follow Jessica’s directions, because google maps will lead you there via private road that is gated. Very quiet and beautiful place only 30 mins away from Maverick entrance to BBNP - would definitely recommend and would come back.

Jessica provided excellent directions to the site. It was flat, well marked and accommodated our 20 foot airstream trailer wjth plenty of room to spare. The sunrise and sunset views were amazing. We did experience a lot of wind upon arrival and were thankful for the less windy days. The road in was a bit rough but doable for most vehicles assuming there is no rain.

Great location and overall a pretty cool spot. Has free coffee in the morning too. If you're bringing an RV/camper just know RV spots are in the parking lot excluded from the general camping area.

Tent camping at el cosmico with 2 kids was easy and fun. We were there in early March and it was very quiet only a few other tents. The location is great for checking out Marfa and surrounding region including Fort Davis. Outdoor shower was perfect and common spaces were fun to hang out in. You are right off a main road so there is some road noise but overnight was pretty quiet.

Know before you go- RV camping is in the parking lot with no hookups. So if you're bringing an RV you won't be in the actual campground. Otherwise it's a pretty cool spot and I enjoyed my stay. Great location and free coffee in the morning. I recommend

Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map provided at the front desk. Consistently drawn to the Big Bend area, after horseback riding and traveling all over Texas I decided to make it my home and have never looked back. The property is on and surrounded by other large ranches between Alpine and Terlingua, allowing space and privacy. Learn more about this land: Open range is a thing of the past, yet the ranches here intertwine, and the view goes on forever. Undulating hills of desert shrubs, cactus and rock – like an ocean with its waves. Just over 30 miles from Alpine and within an hour from the Big Bend National Park entrance. Site 1 can accommodate trailers and Site 2 with primitive tent camping (or car camping) - no trailers. High clearance preferred with both sites, required for Site 2. Campsites are far enough apart to allow privacy. High desert camping, dark skies, views of Calamity Creek, Elephant Mountain, Santiago Mountains, Santiago Peak, Kokernot Mesa. 300 acres. No wifi currently or amenities other than pure peace, quiet and beautiful sunsets. Immerse yourself in the beauty and peacefulness of our high desert. 360 views! Campfire ability dependent on weather/wind. Improvements ongoing. Pack it in, pack it out. This is a wildlife exemption, please respect the desert. Rattlesnakes are more prevalent in the warmer months. Leave no trace! Please dispose of all human waste. No hunting or gathering of any kind allowed. Hiking roads is permitted, as well as on host property. Gates and sites are difficult to find after dark - please notify host if arriving after sunset.
