Private, quiet, & easy to access spot with great amenities. There was a burn ban so I didn't use the fire ring, but the setup was great! The host, Bud was very responsive & welcoming. I enjoyed listening to the soft rain on the van roof while I read my book. Just the retreat I needed to reset. Would stay here again!

The Magic Forest Camp is a 3 minute walk down a beautiful winding path into our forest grove. It sits on the banks of our wet weather creek.

There's hot water and pretty everything you need near the campsite (a short uphill walk, maybe 2min). However, there's no table, lights, or water on the campsite, so to be prepared. The view is great and the toilet and shower are clean!!

Our group really enjoyed their stay at 13 Acres Retreat - we tent camped in the Magic Forest Area which is a few min hike down from the common areas and cabins. It was quiet, peaceful with amenities close by - having hot coffee available was such a bonus! The common area and the sunset deck were very pretty and the heated toilet block was a nice plus. The outdoor shower was great, with properly hot water. And it was a short 10min drive from Reimers Ranch, perfect for short hikes and sport climbing. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Owl Hollow at San Marcos

The location was central at 30+ minutes to wherever I wanted to go: Austin, Wimberley, San Antonio. I enjoyed the private, tree-covered camping spot. I saw bunnies, cats, deer, and all kinds of birds. If you’re a light sleeper or like to sleep in, be sure to bring ear plugs to hear less of the resident rooster. The hosts were caring, communicative, and accommodating, willing to share some of their covered patio when it rained. Thankful for the indoor bathroom facilities with hot water. My AT&T phone signal worked fine.

Everything was set up and ready exactly as advertised. I was the only person camping at the time and it was very private. Excellent site for primitive camping. There was a burn ban in effect and they even furnished a propane fire pit so I could still have a fire, and the fresh eggs were great for breakfast. I highly recommend a stay here.

Everything you need is there, from coffee to firewood to a canoe for the pond! Shellie was friendly and helpful and quick to answer any questions I had. This is a special place. Host is very welcoming! The goats are awesome! The roosters let you know mornings here. They can accommodate most anything vehicle wise it seems. The bathroom was the selling point for me. It’s a shack but its a furnished bathroom, just bring a towel and everything else is there!

We stayed in August, so while it was a bit hot in the middle of the day, the AC in the cabin, outdoor shower, and bathtub provided lots of ways to cool down. The host was very responsive and helpful during our stay.

This property and the owner are absolutely beautiful. Very responsive and everything you could ask for in a quick weekend trip. This is off the beaten path so be careful! We did encounter a Copperhead as well as some other friends of the forest. Nature was beautiful, extremely relaxing- HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I surprised my partner with a weekend at Robin's Nest for his birthday, and it could not have been a better gift; he loved it. We brought our 3 pups, who loved every second of running around exploring the woods. We spent the entire time completely disconnected from the outside world (no cell service) and just relaxing and enjoying the type of privacy we very rarely get to enjoy living in the city. We were able to hear the highway which provided a feeling of safety, knowing we weren't actually in some desolate place, but aside from that, it was 100% private and we couldn't hear anything or anyone else other than nature. Can't wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Tipis on the Guadalupe

Awesome, family-friendly stay! All the creature comforts you need (plus even more than we are used to- a warm shower, towels and bedding provided, a well-stocked kitchen!) Campground is a short walk to the beautiful Guadalupe River! We had 7 kids across 3 tipis and everyone had a blast! The kids could roam safely around the campground games and grassy area while we cooked and relaxed. We can’t wait to go back!

Very interesting and comfortable treehouse! Very private and the tub and fire were perfect. You will hear the highway unfortunately, but it was still quite relaxing with a ton of wildlife. You can feel the love that went into building this special structure.
