Established 1996, The farm is situated just minutes from Magnolia-Silos, the Dr. Pepper museum, Baylor University, the Texas Ranger museum, BSR Waterpark, the Waco Mammoth National Monument (US National Park Service), and plenty of magnificent restaurants.
There are no power lines over the property so I invite you to bring a kite to fly! You may even see one or two of mine in the sky. The theme of Coyote Creek Farm is tranquility. It is camping without someone crowding into your space. It is freedom from the hectic pace of the city.
There is a well maintained Compost Toilet on the property as well! Each individual campsite has a portable potty bucket provided. Nearly any spot you are on has an amazingly delightful view. You can see the sun rise over the trees or the sun set behind a gently sloping hill. You will have access to all of the 30 acres. There are paths to walk, a stocked tank to fish in, (bass, catfish and blue gill), and oak and pecan trees to sit under and view the clouds as they drift overhead. The noises you hear will be cattle calling to their little ones, birds singing, and in the evenings, coyotes howling.

We are a working farm! We primarily grow corn, but we also have livestock on the property. During daytime hours, you will likely see a variety of farm chores being completed. There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

The campsite was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, Becky and her husband, Ricky, made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality and kindness. They were exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The campsite itself was beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained, making it the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family. We created wonderful memories and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Waco Creekside was so beautiful! Very clean and the staff is very nice. The bath houses and laundry were very clean and well maintained. Each site is easy to navigate and hook up. Very minimal noise. Most guests were 40+ friendly and quiet. The dog park was big and very clean. All guests kept their dogs quiet. We had no issues and I’ve already booked our next stay!

This was a great spot! It was decently private, and having a covered pavilion was a nice something and helped protect us from the bit of rain that we had while camping. The gem of the spot is the proximity of the river, which we spent 90% of our time at over the two days that we were there. We didn’t see a soul down by the river and so it felt like it was ours alone.

A nice area for resting in the evening, with pretty wildflowers under the trees. We enjoyed the deck for breakfast, too. There was no city noise. Getting our RV in place and hooked up was easy. Regena is very friendly and conscientious. We will stay again when we are in the area. We had planned to do a scavenger hunt with the grandkids, but ran out of time this trip… maybe next time.

We had an amazing stay at this campground! The river was beautiful and peaceful, and horseback riding made the experience even more memorable. One of the highlights was seeing the incredible 700-year-old pecan tree—it was absolutely breathtaking and added so much character to the property. The campsite was relaxing, scenic, and a perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. We made wonderful memories here and would gladly come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true Texas outdoor experience!

We had a great time under the mother tree! The campsite at the bottom of the hill is beautiful and the farm animals were very sweet. The river had flooded the campsite recently so our first night we had to set up camp up the hill and it was very hot but our hosts were very kind and accommodating. And once we moved our tent and everything to the actual site near the river, it was very nice and such a beautiful spot. Would recommend to others, just probably not during the heat of summer or after weeks of heavy rain.

Access to the river is incredibly convenient, just a short drive across the road, or you can choose to walk the short distance also. I would just say drive in order to avoid having to hold all your gear. The place is well-maintained, with a toilet and shower available. Unfortunately, the showers were out of order on Monday, so I’m not sure if they’re closed during the week. The farm animals are also a delightful addition, providing a lively atmosphere. The farm is situated near a major road, resulting in a lot of traffic noise. It’s a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday with big groups. If you are looking for a place to get away, I would recommend something further away from town.

Beautiful property sites are big clean and long. River was also nice. We couldn’t have asked for a nice area to call our home for a couple of days. Our only issue was the trees being too low so we had to move over to the next site and park further away so we couldn’t hook up to sewer. Our Verizon cell service was also spotty. We did enjoy the area. We visited Mammoth Monument National Park, Heritage park and the Dr Pepper museum. We enjoyed our stay and we definitely recommend it.

An absolute hidden gem. Everything needed for a getaway camping trip is here. Pick from a beautiful open pasture camp or head down near the river under the biggest pecan tree I’ve ever seen. There are facilities and a nice large pavilion if you want to take advantage of that too. Gotta give this one a go!
