Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. The treehouse is absolutely beautiful, it has so much charm. The view from the top is just as stunning as you would imagine and all af the levels of the treehouse are well thought out and maintained. My only complaint is that we didn't have the time to stay another night.
They are not lying about the driveway. It is rough but just adds to the secluded nature of the retreat.
Can't wait to come back and would recommend anyone to come experience it.

Awesome, family-friendly stay! All the creature comforts you need (plus even more than we are used to- a warm shower, towels and bedding provided, a well-stocked kitchen!) Campground is a short walk to the beautiful Guadalupe River! We had 7 kids across 3 tipis and everyone had a blast! The kids could roam safely around the campground games and grassy area while we cooked and relaxed. We can’t wait to go back!

I would highly recommend staying at the Happy Horse Camp! The cabins have a lovely, quaint vibe and are clean with a solid set of amenities. Showers and bathrooms are available, and the on site nature walk with the scavenger hunt is very fun.
Beaux and Hollis went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. I proposed to my fiance and they helped set up the proposal location on the nature walk. My fiance was very suprised and it made for a magical day:) Huge thanks to Beaux and Hollis for their help and responsiveness.
