Weekend Trip to Coppergate Ranch

Host was very kind and helpful! Beautiful spot to camp for the weekend and had great amenities. Would definitely recommend to someone!

2 nights at Coppergate Ranch

This camp ground is beautiful and peaceful. An abundance of dogwoods, pine, and other trees. Catfish pond was the first thing we saw when we got up in the morning. So calming watching the water and listening to the morning birds singing while we sipped our coffee. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful and always available. My family and I will be adding this wonderful site to our favorite campgrounds.

1 night at Petra D.’s Land

So, there was some mixup with Petra's getting the reservation.... not certain what happened there, but they were gracious and gave me permission to stay the night. I car camp and my spot was level. I was safe and there were no other campers. My purpose was only to avoid the cost of motels as I drive cross country and this served the purpose.

There are several museums in the area including the Mid America Flight Museum - a private museum of 60 vintage airplanes in flyable condition. In pittsburg there is the Ezekial aircraft and local history museum. also within 20 miles are major likes for water sports and sport fishing beyond our own famous "Catfish pond".
