Avinger Station RV Park The History of the Station Established in 1876 as a Railroad Depot Avinger Station operated as such until the mid 20th century. After being put out to pasture, the depot was rescued from oblivion as a barn and brought back to Avinger in 1998. It was moved to a more prominent location near its original site in June of 2021 after pondering how the depot might serve the community once again. Desiring to preserve and improve our community’s heritage of service to travelers and trades, the depot is being restored and will serve as the RV Park office. ACCOMMODATIOS AND ACTIVITIES •Check-out time is 11:00am •Quite hours are from 10pm to 8am. •Speed limit is 5MPH •Only on RV and two other vehicles are allowed per site. they must be clean and good condition regardless of age. •Sites must be kept clean. A dumpster is available for bagged trash. •A sewer hose "donut" or "L" connector is required. •Campfires are allowed only in fire pits or grills that are raised and contain the fire. Breeo fire pits and grills are available for rent. •The code for use of the bridge (laundromat, bath, and exercise room) must not be given out to anyone of your party. •Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while outside your RV at all times. •Only 2 pets are allowed per RV and must not disturb other guests. Pets outside must be on leash, under control, and not left unattended. Pet owners are responsible to immediately picl up after their pets. Plastic bags and bins are available for waste. •Use of generations is prohibited, expect during a power storage. •Washing or changing oil of vehicles in the park is prohibited. •Smoking is prhohibited inside avinger station's depot (office, cafe, and museum) and bridge (laundromat, bath, and exercise room.) •Do unto othere as you would have them do unto you. This is a gravel parking lot that is sizable, has power hookups, has water hookup, and sewer hookup, and a huge shade tree. This is in the city, so there is traffic constantly by the spot, but it is peaceful enough to get rest if you're traveling through, on the way to somewhere else. Richard was a wonderful host, and actually met me at the spot to make sure that I could get in and situated. It was very appreciated. Since I was parked under the shade tree for the proximity to the power hookup, my starlink barely worked because of the obstruction overhead. This is not the host's fault, it's just how it was, and I'm letting everyone know if you've got Starlink, this may be an impediment to your connection. I got very good directions, and since Richard was present, I was on the phone with him when I pulled in, so everything went smoothly.

This was my second stay at Avinger RV Park. I love the size of the park. I think there are only 14 sites on the property. There are plenty of pull through sites. It is very clean and the full time RVers keep their site clean. There is a weight room, bathroom with shower and FREE washers and dryers. They are renovating the station. I'm sure it will be beautiful once it's complete.
