Your only neighbors are pygmy dwarf goats, who are far too busy escaping and causing chaos to care about the affairs of this house, which we call Casa Verde. Much work has been put into this old home, though the porches still need upgrades, and adding a second bathroom is our next goal. It’s just a quick Uber drive to all the fun in Knoxville — 3.2 miles from the Tennessee Theatre. Parking is off-road and abundant, and there’s a fenced-in backyard for pets. A hot tub is on the way, and you can plug in on the property with permission from the owner. We strive to bring affordability and peace into others’ lives and hope it returns to us here in these lovely woods, a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountains. New campground construction is underway. Dharma Village is a community that unites humanity with one another and with nature.

Weekend Trip to Magnolia Moon Farm

Great spot. Scott and Heidi are some of the most generous hosts I have met. They are very warm and welcoming, and being greeted with a drink of my choice was an amazing way to unwind from a long road trip. The trailer was cute, clean and cozy. It feels remote and back country, and yet it was close enough to the Tail of the Dragon that I could be there at first light. I'd definitely do it again!

A nice quiet spot. We pulled in forward to have a view of the woods. It’s a long gravel driveway that did require a bit of leveling front to back. There is a relatively flat spot, big enough to unhook a tow car right before you get to the river before the site. Would highly suggest filling your freshwater tank rather than hooking up directly as the pressure is so great even with a water regulator, it still caused our toilet to leak and overflow during the night. Enjoyed a hike to the little Egypt waterfall aka triple falls in town.

We had such an incredible time staying at Scott and Heidi's place!! I can't wait to go back; one of the coolest places. We stayed in the stargazers tent and it was SO cute and so well stocked. They built their own 1970's karaoke bar on premises where they made us drinks and sang some Tom waits songs for us. We had such a fun time hanging out with them and hearing their stories. I'll definitely be back through on my next road trip!!

On the start to a grand adventure with this trip planned as a simple lay over between jobs, the motor blew in our truck. To be welcomed by such a great host under our circumstances was a blessing. Her husband was wonderful moving our rig from the tow truck to the space while we were immobilized. We've had to reserve again, as we're playing day by day on our truck in the shop and they've been exceptionally kind. I'd recommend to anyone!!!!

Weekend Trip to Magnolia Moon Farm

Wow, what an amazing find Magnolia Moon Farm is! Probably one of the best rentals we've ever had. We stayed in the Yurt and came fully loaded with a 1.5 year old, wife, and pup. Our baby and dog had SO much fun romping around in the yard and checking out the friendly goats and chickens. We've never experienced such friendliness and hospitality from our hosts than we did here; I would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet getaway glamping trip to check out Magnolia Moon Farm. DONT FORGET to bring cash for the Thursty Goat, their on-site bar that is staffed and operated by the owners - we missed out this time but we'll be back to chum it up soon and take full advantage of their services soon!

2 nights at Knoxville Campground

The Kiefer Campground (Knoxville Campground) was a terrific location. Clinton is a great town itself, but we were also only 20 minutes from Knoxville. The campground was well organized, had lots of great recreational options (pool, volleyball, kids playground), and lots of places to walk our pups, other than the enclosed dog area. The location was far enough from the road to be quiet, but easy to get back on the highway. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to the Knoxville area.
