Out little slice of heaven has a beautiful spring fed creek and two large fields to play in. The creek can be waist deep in areas but mostly is good for sitting in and just relaxing. Extremely quiet on a dead end road. We have 5 bars of AT&T 5g cell service, Verizon can be hit or miss. All other cell services do not work. We love the creek and our secluded valley. Only a few farmers live down the road. This makes for a very private experience that can be naturalist / clothing optional friendly. The creek is secluded with plenty of trees to enjoy however you wish.
Spaces are extremely level and there are good Satellite tv abilities. We have firewood on site and two stone fire pits. Nearby is a wonderful old grist mill, Tim's Ford state park, Tim's Ford lake, Jack Daniels Distillery and other attractions. We are also about 45 minutes from Huntsville, AL with the NASA Space and Science Center. Space #1 is closest to the road. Space #2 has a larger patio. This retreat is the Perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet not too far away from essentials. Hiking adventures nearby include University of the South Domain, Buggy Top, Walls Of Jerico and many more.

This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. My husband and I actually enjoyed living full time in the cabin for a period of 5 years before returning to reside in the main house. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The antique Hoosier cabinet holds cooking utensils and silverware and located above the kitchen counter you will find plates, bowls, cups and glasses for your use. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. Walk the spacious well landscaped yard with multiple seating venues including a large hammock. For a quiet night of movie enjoyment, bring your favorite movies and make use of the DVD/VCR machine and wide screen television. There is usually plenty of firewood available and there is an outhouse on the site. The pond hasn't yet been stocked with fish, but hopefully soon it will have more than just frogs. But for now the frogs provide great music. This is a rustic campsite, with rocks, roots, and steep terrain. Please bring your own camping gear, including chairs, and please take your trash with you. There is plenty of privacy, even though you are right near a public road that has very little traffic. There are no other campsites nearby and the owner lives 1/2 mile away. Recreation nearby includes Canoeing/kayaking on both the Elk River and Richland creek (shuttles can usually be arranged), Stillhouse Hollow Falls (beautiful waterfall hiking), Trail of Tears Interpretive Center, and Big Creek Winery.

Hostetler Homestead is in a perfect location set on a hill overlooking farmland, pasture land, and endless acres of rolling wooded hills. We were here for an extended stay while working on a house remodel nearby. Our favorite part of the day was returning to the farm to be greeted by numerous animals and enjoy the peaceful sunset. Andy and Annie were the perfect hosts. The site has full hookups with 30 amp power, a fire pit, and a concrete pad. We would love to return and highly recommend this location to all who love nature, farm animals, and the feel of an off grid experience without the sacrifice.

There was a beautiful firepit/seating area already set up with lights that really helped us to settle in. The morning views were beautiful and the kids enjoyed seeing the horse and chickens.

This place is awesome, relaxing, and located in a great spot. Fishing on the duck river and the Williamsport twra lakes is amazing and only an easy 20 minute drive.
The property is clean, the facilities are amazing, and Melissa was super helpful and friendly along the way. There weren’t even many bugs which my wife was excited about. You won’t regret staying here.

Listen, I love this place so much I've been there four or five times. If you love to fish or you love Rivers with the beachfront, privacy, good bathrooms, places to throw stuff away, awesome locations with them Sandy good prices, good people and strangers that will become friends easily, and last but not least the host or absolutely wonderful people and will go out of their way to make you comfortable but also respect your privacy to the fullest. Is my favorite place on hip Camp so far, and if you try it it'll be yours too.
